Help is here!

When the group of four teleported to an alleyway behind the main street where the battle was taking place, the stench of blood assaulted their senses. They looked around to see a mess of people running away screaming, blood and gore lay strewn over the streets. Several people had died and it looked like a warzone.

Sarah, who remembered her experience in Meel district paled but controlled herself, however, the other three did not fare so well. Adrian and Diana could not hold it and vomited out their food. Lily gagged but controlled herself.

When the news showed them the broadcast, these sights of gore were cleverly hidden. The emphasis had always been on a frivolous battle between heroes and villains.

"Why is the government silent about this?" Diana ground her teeth. She had lived a very sheltered life protected by people in the family. However, she found that the government was not "right". She remembered Ryan's words when he sighed while training her.

"The world is not as rosy as you think... you are still a sheltered girl... our worlds are too different..."

Sarah shook her head. "Let us quickly go in, save that hero and leave!"

"Let's go!" Adrian, still pale after puking, strengthened his resolve and his wobbly legs before leading them in a charge.

On the live broadcast.

"It appears the hero Blue Flame has given up. Will he die here? A huge tragedy is unfolding in front of our eyes as we speak. Why is the government not doing anything?" The announcer excitedly announced.

To the broadcasters, heroes and villains were simply entertainment. As long as they were not affected, they could not care less. They simply treated it like a gladiator match and hogged all the profits from constantly rising viewerships. The behavior of these broadcasters disgusted many people, especially those who knew about the reality of the brutality and those who silently supported the heroes, however, they were the only source for the broadcasts and had no choice but to stay glued to the streams.

Suddenly, one of the cameras stopped broadcasting. However, it was not the only one. One by one, they all stopped broadcasting anything and only returned a static. The broadcasters were frantically trying to ascertain the situation, however, these were remotely controlled drones and in such a chaotic situation, no person was willing to go and stake out to find out what happened.

Adrian had already entered the fight dressed as a ghost along with Sarah and Diana. The sudden arrival of reinforcements stunned both the villains and Zeke himself.

"Who are these idiots?" The villains grumbled before they turned their attention away from the mortally injured Zeke to the new entrants and attacked. Eight of the villains ganged up on the three student council members and they immediately fell under a strain.

Under normal times the heroes, who had developed significant battle experience could go one-on-one against a villain, however, eight villains ganging up on a group of three who were only there for a rescue mission was still more than they could handle. When Adrian thought about how Zeke had faced these eight alone for quite a bit of time, he became even more solemn.

Of the three, Diana was in the best shape. She managed to handle 3 of the villains on her own. It was only then that she felt a little bit of the familiar pressure she felt when she would fight Ryan when he would go easy on her. With her overpowered ability to create portals and her practically indestructible body due to being able to create portals anywhere on herself, she easily engaged in close combat while looking invincible, however, she was straining herself mentally in the process.

Adrian too fought with three of them. However, his defensive capabilities were not as formidable as those of Diana's and while he sustained some minor injuries, he retaliated with massive amounts of damage.

Sarah handled the remaining two, including the laser shooting guy, However, before he could do anything his and his partner's bodies were frozen up until their neck, and his insides had already suffered from frostbite. He could not move at all.

'This... is revenge for Meel District!' Sarah sighed inwardly to herself.

Lily suddenly appeared with lightning speed.

"I've destroyed all the cameras, and moved away civilians to a safer location, but looks like the action is already over. Let's take that idiot back to heal." She grumbled because she didn't get to fight. Indeed, the eight villains had been taken care of, rather comfortably, by the trio from the student's council.

Zeke who had been dumbfounded the entire time finally realized who they were when he saw them use their powers while battling.

"...You?" He groaned.

"Stop talking." Lily snapped at Zeke, then looked towards Diana. "Let's leave quickly."

"What about these b*stards?" She asked back.

"Not our business. We need to leave." Lily replied, to which Adrian and Sarah nodded.

"W...wait! Need...to talk! Heroes...Villains...Same side...Old man...Ability...Card..." Zeke spat out incoherently, as he was about to pass out.

However, before he could pass out, or before the four of them could even make sense out of what Zeke said, a chilling voice suddenly spoke out from the shadows.

"Hoo? Those are the most interesting words I have heard in a long time!" The chilling voice laughed as a person materialized from nowhere. Suddenly space the space around the four student council members was locked down.

Diana suddenly realized that she could not use her ability properly.

"So another cardholder has appeared? Good job 'hero'! But first I need to finish my task, haha." The man who just materialized laughed.

The man looked extremely decrepit, all his clothes were dirty beyond belief as if he had not moved for eons. However, each step he took towards the kids was powerful and without any openings. He did not move normally at all, as each time he was taking a step he was dematerializing into the air and then reappearing a step closer. The movement was succeeded in inducing anxiety.

"You foolish kids never stepped out of the school ever since the stupid idiots destroyed Meel district and almost took away my mission!" The decrepit man grumbled. "And within your school, that monster of a principal was always guarding you. Finally, you were foolish enough to step out. I'm sorry to say this, but someone wants you dead, so, unfortunately, your time is up."
