That Night I Met You

That night, the stars where shining brightly. It was quiet, serene and cool as if the buzzling city have no problems to face the next day. Best friends Alena and Kate was walking with hand in hand; giggling to all the stories they were sharing on that time, when a suddenly a man in a motorcycle came rushing to their side of the street lane.

"Aaaaaaahhhhhhh!"

They screamed on the top of their lungs. They thought they were dying. However, nothing happened. Both looked at each other and asked.

"Are you alright Kate?"

"Hmmmm. Yeah! What about you?"

"I am fine."

After checking themselves for external injuries, they looked at the man in the motorcycle, still wearing the helmet, who almost crushed them to death.

"To hell with him!" Alena screamed internally.

When their eyes met the man lying on the floor, there was blood flowing endlessly. Alena tried tapping his shoulder and asked if he was okay.

No response.

She checked for his wrist. Pulse was okay. She can not recklessly move his body since she may accidentally kill him due to mishandling. These are basic first aid knowledge.

She tried to call someone nearby for help while Kate called for emergency. Luckily, after some time, there was a police car who passed by and helped the two ladies.

They carried the man to the ambulance. The emergency team said that he was in a critical condition not due to the crash but the bullets found in many parts of his body.

They have no idea what really happened before the crash. They were both silent when they sent the two ladies home. Alena and Kate could not even imagine again the things happened awhile ago.

Silence...

Alena looked at her palms. There was blood in her hands. She was scared shocked not at the sight of the blood, but the numbers written in red ink seemingly looking like a code or something. She wasn't sure where she got it and how it was so written in her palms.

5-5-6-3-9-0

Number combinations.

"What the heck is this? God what now?"

Suddenly, she felt dizzy.

"What was that I saw just now?"

"Why was it so hazy?"

"Did I lose my mind?"

These were the questions she asked to herself.

"Alena, are you okay???" Kate asked.

"I don't think I'm okay girl!" She answered.
