Walk

Next morning,Sandriya got up early and started getting ready for school.It had been 3 months since she went to class.She had a lot to cover.And their Exams were next month.So she had to study more.She was really excited to see her friends after a long time.She looked at herself in the mirror.She was wearing her uniform.Her black hair was left lose.Her left arm was placed in a sling.The bones had already moulded,but they were not yet strong to do daily work.So the Doctor advised she wore the sling a little longer.

After getting ready she went down to have breakfast.Her mom placed the food before her.Once she finished eating,her mom gave her a glass of milk.

"Drink it dear.Only then will your bones be strong.They need a lot of calcium" she said.

She finished her milk.Just then there was a knock on the door.As her mom was busy in the kitchen,Sandriya went to see who had come.

Jonathan's face was seen as she opened the door.He was dressed in his uniform as well.As soon as his eyes fell on her he started laughing.

"What?whats so funny?"Sandriya asked without a clue why he was laughing.

He controlled her laughter and handed a tissue to her."Wipe your lips.You don't look good with a mustache dearie."he said

"Auntie.Good morning.I am home"he greeted as he went inside leaving Sandriya at the door.

Sandriya wiped her lips with the tissue.Thats when she realised there was milk on her lips.

"Sandriya"her mother called.Sandriya immediately went in.By the time she went in,she saw jonathan was eating breakfast.

"Why are you here so early?"she questioned

"Since you cannot walk yourself safely,I told aunty that i would walk you home daily.And she said okay."

"Mom.I am not a child.I am safe as long as he is not with me."she pouted.

Jonathan chuckled.Just yesterday she said she was safe when he was with her and today she is saying the exact opposite.

"Darling.I just want to keep you safe.So don't argue with him and let him go with you.Okay"

"But mom"

"No more buts"Mrs.Andrews glared at her.

Seeing her mother get angry,Sandriya decided not to say a thing.Instead she turned to Jonathan.

"Your house is already near our school.Why do you have to come all the way here to pick me up?"

"Don't think too much.Auntie said she will make me breakfast everyday.Thats the reason"he replied as he placed a spoon full of food into his mouth.

Sandriya sulked.So he was not here because he cared for her.That idiot.

Seeing her face,Jonathan could tell that she was disappointed.Sandriya turned to go to the living room.But suddenly he grabbed her hand.

"What do you think-"before she finished her sentence his hand pulled her close.He leaned down to her height.She could feel his breath on her neck.His grip was starting to make her nervous.She wanted to push him away.But for some reason she didn't oppose.

"I don't wanna lose you again"he whispered in her ears and released her from his arms.He then went to the kitchen to get water.

But Sandriya was still in the same flustered position.She couldn't process why she didn't push him away.Why was her heart racing as if it would fall right out of her chest.What are these crazy feelings?.

"Hey shortie.Lets go or we will be late".

This made her dimiss her thoughts and she took her bag and went outside waving good bye to her parents.

The two entered the class and sat on their respective desks.Everyone in class were happy to see her.Cathy and Elena had brought her some welcome back gifts.Yhey were glad to see her smiling again.

"Thank you.You girls are the best"Sandriya said as she placed the gifts in her bag.

In a while the bell rang and the classes commenced
