JaZ corps

After lunch,Jonathan and Mr.Andrews sat down on the sofa.Sandriya was helping her mother clean the dishes.

"Have you thought of a name for the company?"Jonathan suddenly asked.

"Not really.I have thought of a few.But I really didn't decide"Mr.Andrews said as he placed some documents in his briefcase.

"Mm...The name should be simple and easy to remember.Even a companies name serves as a great advertisement"Jonathan said.

"Yeah you are right son"

"Well in that case,how is JaZ corps?"Sandriya suggested as she came out from the kitchen.

"Thats an odd name"her father commented.

"My friend once said a name with a 'Z' at the end will make sound more stylish"she reasoned.

"Its short and simple and people will find it easy to remember.So I think its great"Jonathan said showing a thumbs up sign at Sandriya.

"What do you think dear?"he asked his wife.

"I think its a little strange.But kids these days know the current trend very well.So I do agree"Mrs.Andrews nodded her head.

"In that case,JaZ corps it is"Mr.Andrews grinned and wrote it on his notepad.

Sandriya was really excited because the name she chose was going to be their companies name.Only she knew that the name meant

'Jonathan and Sandriya'.But instead of and 'S' she used a 'Z' or else it would have been too obvious.Thinking that she giggled a little.

After that day everyone became so busy.Mr.Andrews had a lot of work before they could officially start business.Mrs.Andrews was by her husband helping him with work.So Sandriya had to take care of the house.Though Jonathan visited often,he could only find Sandriya cooking or helping her father type something or organising the files.He really missed spending time with her But he knew how tiring starting a company from scratch could be.So he didn't complain.

Finally after a month of hard work,it was the day of the companies inauguration.As it was just the start,the didn't invite alot of people.Only the companies cheif partners,new employees ,few clients and close friends were invited.

The convene was held at a fancy hotel hall.It was neatly decorated.Though it was simple,everything looked neat and elegant.

Mr.Andrews was dressed in a dark brown suit .Mrs.Andrews was also dressed in an executive outfit that matched her husband.Jonathan was wearing a simple black shirt neatly tugged in and his sleeves were rolled up half way upto his elbow.Sandriya wore a black frock with a boat neck.Her hair was put into a bun and secured with a red rose clip.

The guests gathered around 6:30 pm.The VIP guests were seated at the front line and the employeers were seated behind.Mrs.Andrews,Sandriya and Jonathan were seated in the front line.

Sharply at 7 pm the session commenced.The comparer welcomed the guest and gave a gist of the upcoming events.After he finished,Mr.Andrews got the mic from the comparer.

"Firstly I thank everyone for being present today.Our journey as a team begins from today.I value each and everyone present here.I assure you our success won't be one-sided.So lets work together to build our empire.I thank you all once again."He finished his short and simple speech.The crowd applauded.The host then announced the important officers of the company.One by one all the officers came to the stage.They all greeted the gathering and gave their speech.They then went back to their seats.

"Thank you everyone.We have neared the end of the program.So as a final touch our host has arranged a banquet.So I request you all to proceed to the dinning room for your dinner.Thank you one and all"the host finished his speech.

Everyone gathered at the dinner hall.There were a many round tables decorated with a simple flower bouquets.The baffet table was at the centre.Soon everyone sat on their seats after getting their food.

Sandriya was sitting with her parents accompanied by Jonathan and the family her father's close friend,Mr.Allen, who was also Cathy's father.

The two men were busy talking.Mrs.Andrews was talking to Mrs.Allen.Cathy was not there as she had fever and Elena had gone to her grand parents house.So she had no one to give her company.So Sandriya was staring at her parents.She sighed as she was feeling bored.She looked at the empty seat beside her.

"Where did he go now?"she thought of Jonathan who had told her to save a seat for him at the table.But he never showed up.

Just then her father patted her head.

"When I am old,My little girl will run the business"he said to Mr.Allen.

"You have a supportive daughter.Mine just won't listen."Mr.Allen complained as he took a sip of wine.

"Then you should get a son-in-law who can run your business"Mr.Andrews said laughing.The two men continued to talk.

Hearing this Sandriya was displeased.Her father didn't even ask her once if she wanted to.Seeing him happy about her taking the business after him,she couldn't bring herself to hurt him.But it was starting to pain her.She excused herself from the table and went upstairs to the hotel roof-top.The time was already around 7:30 pm.Only a few lights were lit on the terrace.The sky was dark and studded with stars.She went and sat in one of the chairs there.She rested head on the seat and closed her eyes.

"Why is Ms.Sandriya Andrews sitting here all alone?"a voice inquired as it came closer to her.

She recognised the voice.So simply answered"No reason"without opening her eyes.

"In that case can I join you?"Jonathan asked sitting beside her.

"You have already sat.I can't ask you to leave now,can I?"she asked sighing.

With the voice she spoke,he understood that something was bothering her.So he kept silent.

"Why are you silent?Aren't you gonna tell something to bother me?"She asked stressed.

"I am sorry if I had been stressing you.I will leave now."he stood up and left.If she saw him as a disturbance then he shouldn't disturb her again.
