Finally it was Saturday...It was a holiday...
Sandriya dressed herself in a lavender full sleeve top with a dark blue jean. She also put on her black sling bag. After checking again in the mirror, she went downstairs.
"Where are you going honey?"her mother questioned.
"I am going shopping with a friend mom"Sandriya said as she put on her shoes.
"Okay.Be safe.Don't buy things you already have. okay?"
"Okay mom.See you later"she said as she walked out of the house.
She waved a 'hi' when she saw Fredrick standing at the corner of the street.
"Sorry for making you wait"
"Thats alright.I would even wait years if it is for you"he said smiling brightly.
"Don't you think this is a little too much"Sandriya said.Fredrick simply smiled. Then the two started walking in the direction of the main road.
"You didn't tell me where you are taking me"
"Thats a surprise"he chuckled.
"Okay"Sandriya was curious thinking what it could be.
"Lets go get some food before we go there.Okay?"Fredrick asked.
"I am not hungry.I wanna know what it is.Lets go there first. We can have lunch later. Please"Sandriya asked with pleading eyes.
"I can't say no to these puppy dog eyes, can I?"Fredrick smiled a little.
"Wait here.I'll go get a cab"Fredrick said as he went to the road side waving for a taxi.
The two then got into the cab.The cab then headed towards the mountain side. The road was lined with beautiful flowers and tall trees on both side. The breeze was gentle. The air was fresh with a mild fragrance of wild flowers.
"Wow.Its really a nice place."Sandriya said to Fredrick.
"Glad you like it"he smiled"This is the place we have to get down"he said turning to the driver. He then handed the driver the cash. The two then got down.
"Where are we?I don't see any buildings are anything from here.Aren't we supposed to go shopping?"Sandriya said as she looked around.Everything was pleasant and serene around her.All she could here was the sound of some insects and the sound of a brook in the distance.
"I thought this would be a nice place for an outing so I brought you here.Do you like it?"Fredrick asked as he sat on the grass.
"Yeah. Its really pleasant.Do you come here often?"she questioned sitting by his side. She actually thought she was going shopping. But he took her to some hilly area. But atleast the place was good So there was nothing to complain.
"Sometimes. When I wanna be alone"He said looking at the sky.
"Someday we all should come here for a picnic. What do you think Jon?"She asked after a few minutes of silence.
"You really are having a tough time forgetting him."Fredrick said turning to her.
"Why do you say that?"
"You just called me by his name and you didn't even realise it"
"Oh...I am sorry"
"Thats alright.Take your time"he said patting her head.
Sandriya became silent. Her face was dull. Her mind was starting to wonder away.
Seeing her pained expression"Come I wanna show you something"Fredrick said as he stood up and stretched out his hand for her.She stood up and followed him.
They walked for almost an hour.
"Are we there yet?I am tired"Sandriya complained.
"Almost there"
"This is what you said 15 minutes ago"
"Ta da we are here"Fredrick exclaimed.
"What? Its just an old abandoned building. What's great about this?"Sandriya was disappointed.
"Yes it is old.It is abandoned.And..."
"And what?"
"Its an old library"
Library...This word immediately excited her mood.As a book worm it was not so odd for her to like stuff like this.
"Are there still books in there?"She asked curiously.
"Go see for yourself"Fredrick said smiling warmly at her.
"Okay"she said as she carefully walking into the old building.Fredrick followed her behind.
"Wow"Sandriya gasped"these books must be very old"she said looking through the shelf.
"Yeah they are. From what I heard people say that an old soldier built this library for tribal people and then after his death it was abandoned"he said as he sat on a chair watching Sandriya look through all the shelves.
She then placed a few books on the study table. She chose a book and started reading it.
"Sandriya do you like it here?"Fredrick asked after about half an hour.
"Yeah."Sandriya was totally concentrating on the book.
"Okay"Fredrick stood up and walked towards her.Sandriya was stunned when she felt his hand on her shoulder.
"Do you like it here?"he asked again. His voice was very stiff and had a strange tone.
"I already said I do"Sandriya getting a little uncomfortable.
"Lets leave"She said trying to leave.
"Not so fast"Fredrick said as he pushed her on the floor.
"What are doing?"Sandriya asked as she got up from the floor. His face didnot have the charming smile anymore. His eyes...they were very cold and menancing...
"Fred.Don't fool around"She said taking a few steps back.
"I'm not fooling around Sandriya.I am really serious."by this time she could tell he was being serious. He was not the cheerful boy she knew.He was acting strange.
She threw a stalk of books on him and tried run to the exit. But he was too fast and he grabbed her and pressed her against the wall.
"Stop it.What is wrong with you?Leave me"she yelled.
"Nothing is wrong."he said his hand slowly starting to strangle her neck.
"Please stop"she cried trying to escape his grip. With every passing second his grip became strong.
"Why?...Why are you doing this?"she tried to get her words out.
"Where are my manners? If I am gonna kill you I should atleast tell you why.Right?"he starred intensely.
Kill her.Did she hear it right? But why?Her body began to shake in fear.
