"Alright that's great everybody! Now let's take a 10 minute break and we'll go through what is expected during the period of school"
Mr Moon blurted out after our piece was done,

Playing our piece was fun, including all the low parts for me, getting told you're gonna have fun your high school years, is a bit of a stretch and I thought this was gonna be it , but of course i have to figure out if i am gonna date her or not…

"Oh hey Sean! I'm glad we got done holy cow that was alone of playing, and i think i heard you play!"
Angela coming up to me. In my mind I was thinking, 'l was not playing that loud', but you know what, I couldn't resist her being this nice,
"Oh really!? Thank you! I mean i don't try to play loud bc he doesn't like us to blast you know?"
I tried to say that as clean cut as possible but of course great timing of-
"OK Sean we get it, your so cool and loud as always."
Joe was saying right behind me, I couldn't blame him, I mean I tried to sound cocky in front of her,
"Okay Joe yes Ik I'm good , sorta, but by the way, where is Diego? He hasn't talked to me at all today."
"Oh Diego? I don't know, while we were playing the piece he took off out of no where I don't know where he went,"
"Huh that's weird of him."
I said that , like I should be worried. But in actuality, he is my cousin and taking off like that isn't present for anyone to do that in school, especially during band camp were it's important.
"Oh hey Sean what did you think of us playing well like that?"
Garcia popped out of nowhere,
"Good shit Garcia, do that again imma make sure this foot is in your ass-"
"Sean shut the hell up, with your small hands of course you can go anywhere with those."
Joe says during my commencement of sounding cool in front of a girl.
"I said my foot Joe,"
"Of course you did, but with your hands are better aren't they? You are good with your hands right."
As soon as Joe said that everyone looked at me with a look of 'oh your hands huh' even Angela looked at me, surprised, hell I ain't good with anything at all, but I guess falling into a joke.

After that everyone had their laugh and went back to their sections for the final words for the day.
"Alright everyone, I had a talk with the assistants, and they all agreed that was the best from today. So, everyone can go home early!"
After moon said that, everyone got excited and started to pack up and put their instruments in their lockers, as so Joe came up to me,
"Hey Sean, aren't you talking to Angela? I see her talking to Diego,"
"Diego? Where was he?"
"He was in the restroom for a while, he said that shit took forever"
"So did she go up to him or vice versa?"
"Sean don't use smart words like that your not smart, and he went up to her,"
"Thanks Joe"
In my state right there I felt like I got cheated on. Diego hooked me up with her , why is he talking to her? Or am I just over thinking?

As I'm going around looking for her I get an unexpected call for my name, not a boy, but a girl.
"Sean.."
I turn around, and recognize the face staring at me, Carol..
"Oh hey what's up?-"
"Why are you trying to find her."
She said that forcefully, like I cheated on her.
"Well I mean if you didn't know I was trying to talk to her-"
"Well looks like it's not working out-"
As she got closer to me,
"Look she is close with him now"
She wasn't wrong, as I looked out the doors of the band hall I saw her hugging Diego, almost like she is crying for him.
"See?"
"See what? She is giving a friendly hug right?-"
"Sean you don't get it, OK she has been with 4 guys since junior high."
As she said that my heart turned for the worse, I knew Something would happen but not this, not now, Diego entered my life again and now he took the spotlight, I don't care what she had to say.
"Well thanks Carol, but no thanks, I usually don't fight for things, but I'll fight for her,"
"Sean that's an understatement, I mean I'm not gonna lie I kinda like you."
She said that without hesitation, and she just stared at me, waiting for an answer, but I just didn't think of anything to say.
"Uhhh, thanks?"
When I said that, she just blew off steam through her nose and took off, and I just stood there, then I pleaded,
"No no wait I'm sorry I didn't mean that,"
But it was too late she took off around the corner, as Joe popped up to talk to me,
"Did you talk to Carol?"
"Yeah we had a little convo about Angela,"
And Joe wondered,
"Was that the only thing you guys talked about?"
I had no choice but to be honest,
"*sigh* Well no, she talked about how she talks to other guys and I'm just gonna be another product , and if you look you can see Die-"
When I looked to say that Diego was gone, and Angela was alone,
"-goooo home, I need to go home Joe,"
"Wait wait, what else did she say, tell me,"
I couldn't just hold it,
"She said she likes me, but I don't have feelings for her, only the eyes preserve for what I want,"
"Sean talk about sounding stupid, but I get it, 'finding the one girl cliché' I get it, how bout you go home and think about it, wanna try for a girl who you want, or give a chance?"
When he said that I didn't know how to respond to that,
"Well Joe, she is outside alone let me try and ask"
"Yes sir, lets see this,"
By this time everyone called their parents to pick them up, I'm always late Bc I'm either talking to the band directors or Joe. No I'm between, but this one was for my feelings, and I needed to know,
I walked outside and she has her back towards me, and when I called her name,
"Angela?"
"Sean! Omg come here,"
And she gave me a hug, and I felt so heart warmed there, but I needed to ask,
"Hey do you like me?"
When I said that her face went blank.
"Well yes Sean I mean I wouldn't talk to another guy for you.."
When she said that, I felt already that she would be the one, in my young heart, if only I knew today,
"Really? I mean I was hoping to go to lunch with you if that would be okay?"
I said that, and a 5 second pause happened, felt forever,
"Uh, yeah. Of course you can, we can walk after 5th period and what do you like?"
I smiled,
"Does pizza hut sound good?"
She smiled back,
"Yes! Okay well then I go with you during school,
*smooch*
"Bye Sean.."
My heart dropped when she gave me a kiss on the cheek, actually the first time a girl gave me one, anyone else feel excited, or just old me? I felt frozen but forgot to ask as she took off.
"Hey so when do you want to go?"
She was off in the distance, but turned around, and winked at me and said,
"When ever Seany.."
And she took off. But unfortunately, I had to stand there another 10 minutes for my Mom to pick me up , so I felt like I finally got a girl to talk too, one maybe I can hold too, just maybe.
"So what she say?"
Joe says out of nowhere,
"Got damn Joe, well I asked if i'm the only one she talks to and she said yes, and I asked out on a lunch date, so maybe I have a good chance, just maybe,"
"Sean?"
Joe asked worried,
"Are you blushing?"
When he said that my mom pulled up, in time for my get away,
"Uhhh, no what? Oh there's my mom, talk to you on Monday Joe.."
Joe blurts when I open the door,
"I'll take that as a yes,"
And Joe walked off, and we took off home..

Later that night I lay in bed just thinking of what I should wear, or what I should talk to her about when we do go on that lunch date, but I had all weekend to think about it, shouldn't be too much, but I still thought of what Carol said, she has been with other guys before me, and hugging Diego like that, makes me wonder if she is worth it, but all i know is to put effort for her, I just want to experience love, and maybe I can feel what everyone else does, I just think it's the little things she does, that smile, the way she looks at me, I can't blow this opportunity, but ik Carol will be jealous and try to intervene, I just gotta wait and see as always...
