Stranger's Voice

The drive back was as hellish as the drive to, but my job takes me to places mostly I would rather not go. It was almost night when I finally got to the city proper, and the first thing I did was go to a drive thru for I haven't had lunch or breakfast that day and my stomach was already growling. On my way back it began to rain, a heavy torrential downpour, the roads became slippery and visibility was the worst I had ever experienced. For a moment, I wondered if these were the same conditions on the day my parents died. However, my thoughts were interrupted for as I was about to make a turn on a sharp curve, I saw it on my rear-view mirror - the demon grinning widely. Chills ran down my spine, the smile was menacing, the demon was taunting me. Next thing I heard was the honking of horns and as I looked at the front , a blinding light was speeding towards me and -- crash! The sound of metal slamming to metal, the screech of tires on a slippery road and the blaring of horns and the blinding lights, my body was being thrown around like a rag doll, i was hitting things that I don't even know and everything was out of my control - the car, my body, everything; and then everything stopped.

Everything was blurry...I can feel something dripping, followed by the sound of sirens and before my eyes gave way the last thing I saw was the image of a man in a suit...

Warm. The first sensation that came to me was a warm feeling enveloping my whole body. My eyelids were shut but I can feel my eyeballs moving their sockets. Slowly I forced them to open, and a blinding light welcomed my sight, I shielded them with my arms. Slowly I grew accustomed to the light, soon I would be able to see properly, but I... couldn't see anything, I mean nothing. All I see is just white clouds above and below me. The whole place was bright, I could feel a breeze brushing my skin... Skin? I looked at my own body, I was naked! I instinctively covered my parts and looked around, thankfully I was alone. I was suddenly walking it and it felt like I didn't have any control over my body, my direction, unknown, where I was, I didn't have a clue, I just walked. I walked and walked and walked aimlessly until I stopped. Again I looked around, this time off the distance I saw someone standing. Not caring if I was clothed or naked I ran towards that person and when I was so close ---AAAAAAHHHHHHH!

I fell. Beneath me was earth, the air was suffocating, shrieks and cries can be heard all around me. I looked around; a familiar scene, I was in hell once more, only difference was that I was there, I'm now touching its scorched ground, at least I think I am.

"Robin? " I heard a voice, I looked back, and behind me a person sat in what seems to be a prison cell.

"Robin? Is that you?" it said again, I simply nodded.

"What happened? What are you doing here!? Don't tell me that you're dead!?" the voice said.

I shrugged my shoulders, I mean even I don't know what happened. I tried to go near the cell when an arm shot out, gesturing me to stop, and again the voice spoke, "no don't come near, he might smell you. You have to go Robin, you have to get out of here!"

I was about to open my mouth when she spoke again, "Don't talk Robin. He's listening." I watched as the silhouette of a head looked up from within the cell, as if checking if someone was there. I stood up and was about to leave when I felt a hand on my arm. I looked back, and beside was Annie, she was all grown up, at least she looked the way when we had dinner.

"Don't speak Robin. I can't stay long. You're not dead, not yet, but you're barely alive. We have to get you out of here, Robin you have to live." She looked at me with those big eyes, "I've waited for you this long, and all your efforts will not be put to waste." she said all those things as she was dragging me to I have no clue where. She then stopped and told me to close my eyes as I felt a warm feeling touching my lips and then a wave of warm air surged through me, seemingly carrying me...

"Robin... Robin?" a faint voice was saying my name. Slowly and weakly I opened my eyes, the first blurry image that I saw was a woman sobbing.

"Urgh..." I heard myself groan, however, I can't make my own mouth say a word. Then a panicked shout, "Nurse! Nurse! Anyone please, he's awake!"
