Chapter One: The Castle

Leon sat back in his chair as he watched Ace run around trying to find one of her magical weapons. He never could understand how she was able to lose any of her weapons so easily. For him if he didn't have his weapon he felt like a naked baby out in the open. As an assassin for Aces royal family he was never far from her side. At the same time he was also always being bullied by her when she couldn't find anything.

"Leon where did you hide my staff this time?" Ace asked full of anger. "Im telling you I didnt hide it. If I touch any of your magical weapons it will drain me dry of all my magic, especially the one that your father gave you." Leon said In a laughing tone. "Leon this isnt funny!" Ace ran out of the room in a fluster. Leon's chambers are at the very last level of the castle. Him and his entire group stay down in the dungeons because that is where they feel they can protect the royal family better and where they are most comfortable.

Ace ran through the halls till she was finally outside in the courtyard. Compared to the size of the castle the courtyard was very small. It was centered directly in the castle so no one could look in from the outside of the castle walls. Ace used the stone circle that sits directly in the center of the courtyard to focus her magical energy. As she focused deeper she could feel her elements flowing within her. The main elements that she always has contact with are air, fire, water, earth, wind, light, and dark.

The courtyard is littered with brightly colored flowers and trees. There is also a small creek that runs directly through the entire courtyard. This creek also cuts through the stone paltform that contains magic symbols that help amplify Aces magic. Ace stood at the center of the stone platform and focused all of her enegery on the giant stone pillars that are located just outside of the magical stone circle.

As Ace focused her enegery the stones began to glow and the crystals in the center of the stones strarted to hum with a small buzzing noise. Ace becane a ritual called "Rune Focus" This particular spells allows her to find anything or anyone that has a touch of her magic attatched. This spell can be hard to use especially considering Aces magic is on everything in the castle thanks to her Familiar Garth. Garth however only appears when he wants to be seen.

"That damn cat... Why does he have to spread all of the magic that I feed into him." Ace took a deep breath and focused harder on her staff. She needed to find it. If she didnt have it her father was going to kill her. It was a gift that he had bestoned onto her. The staff is infused with half of her fathers life essence. So finding it for him would have been an easy task but she didnt want to have to ask him for his help.

As her mind started to clear she could see the staff. Her heart sank to her stomach as she could see that her father was holding onto it. "How was he able to know that I lost it... How did he know anything..." As she looked closer she could see that he was smiling directly into her minds eye. Then suddenly she realized what was going on. With anger growing inside of her she quickly dispelled her circle and ran back into the castle.

Ace threw open the giant mahongany archered doors instantly finding her father sitting in a giant stone thrown. And there he was sitting there in his giant stone thrown smiling at his tiny daughter. She has to look up to him as he is the Demon king. A giant of a man with four giant horns crowned on his head. His entire body ripped with muscles. Though most demons in this realm don't like to take on their human forms he does for his daughter as she does not look like a normal demon. His eyes glowed a deep red and they were full of humor as he looked down at Ace.

"What is wrong my small child? Did you lose your toy?" He asked with his tone full of humor. "Why did you take my staff?" Ace asked camly. "Because I knew you would be looking for it in such a hurry my daughter, I thought it would be amusing to watch you run around looking for it." He said smiling with his face filled with mishcive. "May I please have my staff back father." Ace asked coldly. The demon kings face slowly slide to a nutral tone.

"You wont try to fight me for it my little one?" He asked in a very quiet and annoyed tone. "What is the point in fighting you for it? It might have half of your power but that hasnt slowed you down. You can still crush anyone in an instant." She responed calmly. "You are correct small one. But I would never bring harm to you my dearest daughter. You are my only child." He said in a sad tone.

Ace was a little surprised at the sad tone she heard in his voice. Ace expected him to keep teasing her about getting the staff back and make her fight him for it. "Are you alright father?" Ace was growing more and more concerened when he didnt replie to her question. "Father I need you to answer my question please. You know that this world still needs you. You cant leave again this world would go into chaos again!" She said in a panic. "My child be calm. I know what would happen if I were to leave again. Nothing is going to happen to me."

Ace was relieved. "Then why do you sound so sad?" She waited patiently for his response. Her father looked at her then he got up from his thrown and approched her. "Do you want to leave this castle to go and find your mother and who you truly are?" He asked bluntly with a little bit of envy in his voice. "Why do you ask father?" She replied. "Please answer my question darling." She looked up at her father to look into his glowing eyes.

"Yes. I would like to go and find my true self with Leon and my familars. I would like to go out and meet new people. I would love to make new friends and learn new magic. I would like to know where I came from and where my mother is. I want to know what it means to be half demon and half a light magical creature. It pains me to not know where this pure energry comes from..."

Ace hadnt realized she started crying until she looked away from her father. "My child I know that it pains you to not know your other half." He said quitely. Ace was surprised when he shrank himself down to her height to wipe away her tears. "You are 17 years old. Soon you will be 18 years old. I have thought about this for a long time and I want to help you start your journy into the open world." He said with a smile on his face.

"Are you sure father..?" Ace asked hesitantly her eye whelping up with tears again. "Yes my child. You deserve to know everything about your other half. You deserve to just go out and make your own life with your own story." He told her with a bright smile on his face. "GO and be the little demon that I know you can be. Have dinner with me tonight and we can talk about the details of your start." He said excitedly.

"Alright father I cant wait!" Ace said excitedly as she took back her staff and ran out of the giant thrown room. "Leon? Where are you?" Ace yelled as she ran thorugh the halls of the castle. In the middle of her running Leon appeared out of the shadows directly in front of her. "What are you yelling for." She was halteded to a stop but she couldnt stop herself from running smack into Leon.

"Youre adorable when you are clumsy." He said smiling down at her. He reached to feel thorugh her long blue hair when she looked up at him making him stop in his tracks so he pulled his hand back to his side. "My father is going to let me go and figure out who I truly am!" She said with her voice full of excitement. "Really? I am so happy for you! I hope that he allows me to go with you." Leon said happily.

"I hope so too. I cant stand being alone for too long and You are always around." She said happily looking up at Leon. "Father wants to talk about the details at dinner tonight. Will you please join me?" She asked Leon. "Yes I would love to join you at dinner. I just hope that your father will let me join." he replied with a smile on his face.

"make sure you are ready for dinner tonight. I am sure that father will let you join the dinner." She said with a bright smile on her face. "Alright Ace. I will see you then." Leon dissapered into the shadows of the hallway to prepare for the dinner. Unlike Ace he had to make sure he was presentable in front of the king. Ace went back out into the courtyard where she laughed and sang with joy.

Ace started to dance around the circle as she danced small fay crestures started to appear and danced with her. As Ace danced and sang her fair white skin began to glow and glisten with the magic around her. Her eyes then began to glow a very bright sky blue the louder and happier she sang her song to her goddess of divinity.

Ace then heard a small voice in her head. "sweet child hear my song and know who you really are..." Ace stopped dancing so she could listen to the wind around her. She knew that the wind carried the messages of the gods, her father taught her that at a very young age as he is the god and lord of the Demons. As she listened to the song she began to learn it and sing it herself.

"Deep in the oceans of old,

Is where you will find the old,

There a heart was stolen,

Never to be found again,

You are the key sweet child,

Use my gift of light and life,

Be the light of the world."

Ace stopped in her tracks and was breathing heavily once she was herself again. "What the hell just happened." She asked quietly to herself. As she did Leon was right there suddenly by her side. "Whats wrong?" Leon asked quietly. "The goddess just whispered to me... She told me I am the key in the oceans of old... I have no idea what that means..." She said quietly.

"Maybe your father would know." Leon replied. That is when Ace finally looked up at him and her heart stopped. Leon was just so handsome and she loved it when him would get ready to present himself to her father. He was a tall slinder man. Though he is little he was very fast and very strong. With the fay at his side there was little that he couldnt protect her from, though she felt that she didn't need to be protected.

Ace was a very powerful being due to her parents. Even though she has never met her mother she knows she is a very strong mage. Leon does protect her anyway so in return she always heals him and boosts his abilitys when ever she can. "Are you okay Ace?" His question snapped her out of the trance she was in. She could see all of his muscles and she wanted to feel all over his strong body.

The thing that she loved the most though was his long red hair and his deep red eyes. "Yes I am okay Leon thank you." She looked away blushing softly. He smiled softly. "Alright my dear. Let me help you up." He gave her his hand and he helped her up. "Hold on." Leon said softly. Leon then picked her up and carried her all the way to her chambers. She was holding onto him tightly because he knows that she hated being carried.

"Put me down now leon!" Ace yelled as he ran through the halls. "Nope not putting you down till we are in your bedroom." He said with a smile on his face. Ace quited down and pushed her face into the bend of his neck. Secretly she just enjoyed the way that Leon smelled. She loved everything about him, she just wanst sure about her own feeling for him. This is someone who has been by her side sense she was a little girl. They were raised together.

Once they were at her bedroom door he let her go so she could open the door. "last time I went into your bedroom without your permission you almost killed me." He looked down at her smiling. "Allllright I guess Ill get my own bedroom door because you know thats so hard for you to deal withhhhhh." She teased mockingly.

They walk into the bedroom together and sit in the large fluffy chairs that are positioned in the center of the bedroom. "So what are you going to wear at the dinner tonight?" Leon asked a little sheepishly. "I dont know yet. I was thinking of wearing just normal clothing. But seeing you in your royal atire It makes me want to dress up as well." Ace replied.

Leon is in full royal clothing. The Royal family enjoys dark colors. Mainly red purple and black. The only light color they can tolerate is silver. So Leons suit consists of a deep red suit with silver embrodery. He is also wearing a cape that is stained a deep royal purple is red spashes of color into it. Ace wanted to match what he was wearing tonight.

She thought maybe if she matched with him her father would see him more as an escorte to the dinner. he knows that he does not have any say when they are in gatherings that involve the royal family. The only way he would ever have any kind of say is if they were to get married. Even then he doesnt have much that he can say. The family belives only true blood of the family can make choices or have any say in military matters.

"Alright lets see what I have to wear for tonight." Ace gets up and walks over to her closet and starts to rummage through all of her clothing. The only thing she see that seems appropriate for tonight is a long black dress. It was a simple long dress with lace for sleves and silver embrodery at the bodoms of the dress. She pulls it out of the closet and gave it a long look.

"I think this would be perfect for tonight. What do you think Leon." She looked over at her childhood friend. "I think anything that you pick would look good on you." Leon replied. Ace frowned at him. "I need you to give me your actual opinion on the dress not what you always say." "alright I think you should wear that with my cape. What do you say." Ace thought about it for a moment and decided that it would be best.

"Yes give me a second to put on the dress and then we can try it with your cape." Ace goes into the changing room where the maids are waiting there for her so they can help her undress and put the dress on but she tells them she doesnt need their help. As she undresses she looks over her skin at all of her old scars. "Ive gotten into a lot of fights havent I... Maybe I should just stay in the castle..." She thinks to herself for a second with doubt creeping in her mind from her past.

"No I need to know who I am." She changes her thoughts to something a little bit more happier as she looks over her body. "I wonder what Leon would think of my body... what kind of girls does he like..." All ace can think about is Leon as she pulls on the slinder dress that highlights her curves and her waiste. Ace is a very tiny girl but she has thick thighs and wide hips and large full breasts.

She slowly walked out of the changing room and looked at Leon. "What do you think?" She asked shyly. He looks up at her and all of his breath leaves him. He then gets up and walks over to her. "You need one more thing." He says as he pulls her close to him. As he looks down at her he can see that she is blushing which makes him smile. Then he wraps the cape around her shoulders gently.

"Man sometimes I forget how short you are." Leon laughed softly. She playfully hits his chest and smiles. The cape dragged closely behind Ace as she walked. Leon walked behind Ace at her left side only at arms length away from Ace. He knew that he would get in trouble if he was too close to her as they walked. Her father has many strick rules when it comes to dealing with the royal family and Leon knew all too well what would happen if he broke any of the rules.

They walked slowly into the dinning area if the castle. There were many demons sitting around the long rectangular tables. Ace didnt realize that so many of her family members were going to be at the dinner. Her family consisted of only demons. The largest of them all was her father. They all assumed human forms to try and keep equal peace in the dinning halls.

"Why have you brought your assasin her with you today dearest daughter?" Her father asked impatiently. He hated being around the rest of the family but as soon as word got out that he was going to make some chages everyone decided to show up. "I have brought him as my guest for tonights gathering." Ace replied calmly. "Ahh that is why I love you so much my darling." Aces aunt gushed and then rushed towards her neice.

When she reached her she gave her a tight hug then went back to her seat. For demons they are very well manered and know how to treat everyone around them with respect. Ace took her seat by her father with Leon right behing the chair. Anyone who wasnt apart of the royal family wasnt allowed to speak in the precense of the Family.

"Everyone!" Her father bellowed over the crowd of chattering family members to get everyones attention. As soon as everyone got quiet he spoke, "I have some very exciting news for you all as of today!" He yelled. "Our little princess is going to be going on her own very soon. She is going to set out and make her own life doing what ever her heart desires."

No one said a word at first then all chaos erupted. Ace didnt realize that so many people would be against her going out on her own. They were making claims such as "She is the only one who can claim the thrown" and 'What if she dies out there by herself". All of it started to irritate her so she cut them all of yelling so they would all be quite.

"I am very capable of handling myself in any situation. I have learned from a very young age how to fight with or without magic. Hell half of me uses light magic to hide and heal myself. Can any of you do that? No. I didnt think so." She finished in a rush. "If you wish to leave this castle you are going to have to fight me." Her uncle Uron called from the other end of the table where he and his daughter sat.

She glared at him. "My pleasure. Father do you have any say against it?" She asked. "No my child. Show them what you are made of." He replied very calmly. Not even a breath later her uncle was behind her about to try and cut her head off with his broad sword. Ace didnt flinch and grabbed the sword with her hand. "You are going to have to do better than that to hurt me." She turned and glared at him her eyes burning a deep red.

"Oh dont you worry you little whelp I am going to make sure you and your children will remember this fight!" Uron yelled at her. Uron held out his sword for a moment allowig dark energry to drape over he weapon. "Do you remember what this is calling small child?" He glared at her his eye too now glowing a deep agonizing red. "I know very well what that pathetic show of arms is Uron. It is you trying to steal all of my magic energy with your weak syphoining spell. Good luck even scratching my magic you dunce."

She ripped away from her seat throwing herself oppsite of her family. As her uncle focused more and more into his spell it was growing weaker and weaker. Uron isnt the type of demon that has very any magic spells, so when he does use magic it can either be a very strong spell or an extremly weak spell. However Ace is able to use both magic and her weapons so she doesnt have to foucs on either one too much. As Uron was trying to gather the rest of his strenght for his spell Ace decided that she wasnt going to wait around for him to try and use it.

"You need to focus on the fight Uron!" Ace has gathered up flames within her hands as she did she clapped as hard as she could sending the flames directly towards her Uncle Uron who was runing after her with his sword swinging wildly. He was never able to land a blow on her as he was hit directly with raging flames. "You little bitch!" He screamed at her as he burned but that didnt slow her uncle down. He still chased after her with his blade trying with all his might to hit her.

Ace was using wind magic to be able to evade her uncle blows. The more she kept dodging him the angry he was getting till finally he yelled at the top of his lungs, "Alreth come to me!" The ground shock underneath everyone then suddenly a rock titan came raging out of the ground. "Dearest neice I want you to meet my wisest familar Alreth. She is going to show you what it is like to be crushed under the weight of mother earth!" Uron yelled like a crazed dalbernish (balbernish is a giant rat that can scream so loud it'll damage your eara) at his neice.

'Man Uncle this isnt a good look for you maybe I should have let you win because this is now a fight of familiars. And you know what it means to have an amazing familar, the better they are the higher class you are. Also you are sounding like a crazed animal so lets end this. Tempest to me now." Everything was silent for a second then suddenly the skies awoke with raging storms causing cracks across the sky and loud cries of the gods.

Ace hadnt realized she was laughing as she towered over her unlce. "How does it feel to know exactly how low you really are. I am a better mage than anyone and I can even use a sword better than you." She said as she was smiling down at her uncle the cries growing louder and louder. "You damn mutt..." He uncle muttered as the King of demons yelled "Stop this now!" Suddenly eveything was quite, the familiars were gone and everything had gone back to normal.

Ace went back to her seat and she resumed her talk with her father, though Uron stayed where he was holding his face in his hands. "What do you think that you will need in order to try and find your mother?" Everyone in the room went silent when the king mentioned anything about her mother. It is not someting that he normally talks about. No one leaves the king of demons and lives to tell the tale. But he loved Aces mother. He loved her so much that when she wanted to leave him he just let her go so she would be happy. He didnt realize she was pregnant with Ace at the time.

When he found out about Ace a messanger had dropped her off outside of the castle border in nothing more than a cloth. She was just laying there looking at the maids who were sent to get what ever was left there to dispose of it. They were in such a disarry when they brought the baby to the king he had to sit and talk to them in order to calm them down. He did wonder why they just brought the small child to him instead of any of the generals first. There was no note or anything on the child everyone just assumed it was his child.

He took the small child to one of the most powerful witches in his army to see if it really was his child. The witch laughed as she looked at the child and held her. "Sire this truly is your child and she has so much of your dormant power and even more within her! She is going to be the brightest star in all of the realities!" In the beginning the king was worried that she would over throw him. After a while of staying with the child his fear slowly faded away. It took him years to figure out what to name his child.

He had two names in mind, Denerath and Ace. He ended up chosing ace because of her ability to use a bow so well. The king knew exactly where her talent came from. He just couldnt bare the thought of having her hate him if he ever talked about her mother. So he went to the witches and had them erase the memory of her mother from his mind. Little does the king know that they didnt actually erase his memories, they only put all of his memories into a crystale and cast it far far away from the castle and the land of demons.

"I dont know father. I was thinking maybe we should have pelnty of dried meats and breads with us. And maybe some gold for the journey when we need to rest." Ace replied. "Who are we?" He asked turning his head slightly. "I want Leon to come with me on my journey to find my mother." She replied a little sheepishly. "Why do you want him to join you?" He asked. "Hes the closest person to me out of anyone youve hired to protect me. Hell I dont even think that you are paying him anymore because of how at home his family has gotten."

"Youre right. We have been treating them as family sense they came here for you. I see why you would want to take him with you on your journey." He replied. "What do you think about the food and money?" She asked her father. "I think that isnt too much to ask to start your journey. Though you understand that I will not be helping you anymore after this unless you are coming home. Right?" He asked. "Yes I do understand that father." She replied.

"Alright then it is settled. I will have the supplies ready for you and Leon in the morning. For now lets sit and eat together as a family and enjoy our time together." Her father exclaimed happily. Though she couldnt help but feel that there was something he wasnt telling her. Everyone in the family sat around and ate to their hearts content laughing and playing around. They talked about tales of old and what they did when they were younger. Her father talked about how he became a god and a king all in one.

That story could go on and on for the rest of everyones lives. So he just summed it up to him being badass and knowing how to trick a god into believing every word he said. Ace laughed as her father talked and forgot all about the worries that she had when they talked about the details of her leaving. Even for just a moment she had forgotten why she was even leaving the castle. The place where she was raised with Leon. Raised to be a princess of the relm. Even though their "relm" Was just the contenent on the southern most edge of the world.

The demon race ruled over the entire area so no one has the ability to take any of the land away from them. Though that hasnt stopped any pirates from trying to take the land out from under the demons. Their race might be peacful but if you cross them you are sure to end up with a dagger in your face or your soul eaten then turned into a slave. That is one thing that they do not compromise on. Never double cross a demon.

After the eating and the drinking Leon ended up carrying Ace to her bed because she wasnt able to walk anymore from drinking. "Why do you have to drink at all. You know when you start you cant stop until you look like this." Leon stared down the hall as he walked laughing a little at Ace as she grumble a reply he didnt understand. Even though she is completely drunk he still thought she was adorable. As they reached the bedroom he walked slower and slower considering his options.

"I wonder if I should tell her how I feel... I think that might be too much right now considering she is about to go looking for her mother. Maybe I should wait for her birthday... Itll be in seven months... Maybe." He said to himself as he looked down at the beautiful girl in his arms completely asleep. He walked into her bedroom slowly then laid her down gently. "I kind of want to sleep with her tonight... I wonder if she would be angry with me in the morning..." He slowly bent down and the closer that he got the more he wanted to kiss her.

He loved the way her lips looked. How they always looked ready for him to plant his on onto. He loved how round and lush they were and he needed to know just how soft they are. He bit his lip as he looked over her body. The slim dress that she was wearing was falling around her shoulders almost exposing her big round breasts. He wanted to feel them. He needed to feel them. He need to feel her, all of her. Then suddenly realazation hit.

He quickly backed away from Ace and left the bedroom ashamed of himself. He couldnt believe he was so tempted to take advantage of her like that. "I might just be a teenager myself but she is my lady... I cant just violate her body like that unless I have her full permission..." He ran into his own chambers and took out his frustraions on his training dummies. "I will apologize to her tomorrow..." He said to himself as he laid in the floor to sleep.

In the morning ace woke with a headache. "Man I drank too much last night... Leon are you outside?" She called from in her chambers. "Yep right here." He said as he poked his head into her room. "What time is it?" she asked. "it is seven o'clock in the morning." He replied. "Did something happen last night? Normally you would be teasing me for getting so drunk last night." She asked.

"No nothing happened." He said shortly. "oookay. well I will be ready in just a moment." She told him. "Ill be outside waiting for you." He then closed the door to her bedroom. "Damn I wonder what has gotten into him. Its like he has stick up his butt." She got up slowly then put on her clothes. She decided to wear her favorite black tank top and her favorite pair of blue jeans. She didnt like to wear a bunch of fancey clothing all of the time.

Ace started to pack her bag of clothes when she heard a knock on the door. She turned to see Leon poking his head in the door. "Would you like some help packing your clothes away?" Leon asked Ace. "Sure I would love your help, I keep forgetting that I have so much clothing ." She smiled up at him and started pulling clothes out of the closet. They mainly packed simple clothes between the two of them. One or two nice outfits just in case they had to have any formal meetings.

"Are we ready to go and meet up with your father?" Leon turned to ask Ace. "Yeah I think that we have everything that we will need for clothing. Do you think we will need to pack any bedding supplies?" She asked. "No as your trusted assassin I have all of those things covered, its not fancey but Itll do for us to sleep." He replied. "Okay thank you Leon. What would I ever do without you?" She looked up at him and smiled softly. From embressament he had to look away from her as he did not want to remember anything from last night.

They walked down the hall ways together trying to find out where her father is at. They decided to check the thrown room. That is where she saw her uncle and her cousin sitting at the main table talking to each other. She decdied to walk in to see if they would say anything rude to her. They said nothing at first but as she walked closer her uncle got up. "Thank you for the fight last night. I am so glad that you are so strong. Now we dont have to worry about any of the bloodline falling through. I hope that you can take these as our apologises" Uron said with a sad smile on his face. He handed Ace dried herbs and sages for purification rituals. "Thank you uncle I am very greatful. I must go find father now."

Ace and Leon left the room and decided to check her fat

hers chambers. She doesnt normally intrude on her fathers space but she needed to know how the supplies were being handled. As they reached the door they could hear someone laughing very softly. She wondered for a second if her father was playing a trick on her to see how she would react. He was always playing tricks on her like that. Though she didnt think till now that he would play a trick this big on her.

Ace gently knocked on the door making the laughter come to a screeching halt. "You may enter." That is when his voice regestered. It is in fact her father and when she opened the door she could see him sitting in his bed with a giant grin on his face. "Tell me what it is you need my child." He commaneded. "I am here to ask about the supplies for the trip father." She said in a neautral tone. That is when the laughing had started up again. "Did you really think I would let my only child leave!" He yelled as he laughed even harder. "You are never leaving this place." He said in a not so humorus tone.

"So it was all a trick. You did this just to get a rise out of me?" She asked her father with her anger growing ever more apparent. "To your chamber with your pet." He said. "No. I will go on this journey and I will find my mother. I will not let you or anyone else stop me!" She yelled at the top of her lungs as she did lightning formed around her. "Take this you lying sack of shit!" She flung out her arms casting all of the angry and negative energy at her father hitting him.

He was thrown back into the giant mirrior that was placed on his headboard causing it to shatter. Blood fell fast onto the ground mixing in with the glass around him. Ace quickly left his bedroom and ran towards the font of the castle. There she could see two satchels sitting in front of a giant stone door. The door consisted of small introcate flowers and fay dancing all around the door.

As they got closer to the door and the plain grey bags she could see that there was a note sitting on the bags. She slowly bent down to pick up the note. It reads "Dearest daughter. If you have gotten this far then youve learned to stand on your own two feet. I was worried that you wanted to take Leon with you. I was worried you wouldnt be able to do anything on your own. I needed to be able to know that you can protect yourself and stand for what you really want in life."

Ace just stood there is disbelief. She had no idea what to say. The longer she stood there she could smell it even more. She could smell the sent of blood. She turned around slowly and there he was. She saw her father standing smiling and holding his side. "Father I am so sorry I had no idea..." She said quietly. "here let me heal you please." She ran over to her father and cast one of the few healing spells that she knows. She had to focus hard for this spell to work as she has not yet grabbed her rune stone from the courtyard garden.

When it comes to Aces magic ability her elemental powers are far greater than any of her healing abilities. She hasnt been taught how to use any of them. "Sit still father I am going to try and heal your wounds..." She said quietly. "There is no need for you to heal me small child. I deserve it for trying to decive you." He replied. "No thats not how this is going to work. I am going to try and heal you the best that I can. Now be quite." She siad. Her father decided it would be best to listen to his daughter as he did not want to go flying again.

Ace started to sing softly. A song that her father could not place with any name. He decided that he would look at his daughter and he breath caught in his throat. All he could feel with a strong sense of loneliness within his own heart and he didnt understand it. He didnt know why he was sad as he looked into the glowing white eyes of his daughter. How her skin glowed a bright white and how the soft sing song put his mind at ease.

The less that he thought about his feelings the better his body started to feel. He then closed his eyes and relaxed letting her power fill him for just a moment so he could gain a sense of peace within his mind. "How are you feeling now father?" Ace asked him softly. That is when he finally opened his eyes and started to look around him. He didnt feel anymore pain and he loved it.

"Thank you my daughter." He smiled down at her. "Your welcome father though I kind of owe it to you. I am really sorry for hurting you like that. I thought that you were going to try and stop me from trying to go out on my own..." She finished in a rush of emotions with tears threating to fill her eyes again. "I am sorry my child. Though I hope that the supplies I have given will be more than enough." He told her. "Thank you so much for what you have done for me. I hope that I can still come and visit you."

"Of course you can my child. Just know this willl be the one and only time that I help you. If you ask anything else of me I am going to remind you that You are going to have to come home." He told her sternly. "I know father. I am going to try my best and not ask you or anyone else for any kind of help." She replied with a smile on her face. "Well child it isnt a bad thing that you ask people for help. Sometimes you have to ask someone for a hand, Just as long as you are not asking a king for any kind of help. You have to go out and build your own kind of stability."

"Thank you father. I love you so much." Ace told him softly. "As I love you my daughter. Now go on your journey with Leon. And dont forget to wright." He told her. Ace nodded her head then ran back over to where Leon was standing in the giant stone door way. Ace looked up at the frame of the doorway and held her breath for a moment. She thought that maybe if she stood there for too long that she would never be able to get a chance again to leave. So she took a deep breath and ran out of the castle as fast as she could with leon right behind her.

Ace had kept running till she was at the very end of the bridge that connect the castle to the main land. Leon stopped directly behind her so that he wouldnt run smack into her causing him to drop any of their supplies. "Why the hell did you stop running so quickly like that?" He asked in a rush. "Hush I need to take in the site of the outside of the outside world. I havent seen it out like this before." She then took out a sketching pad and strated to draw everything that she saw as quickly as she could.

Ace always has her little sketch pad with her so she could always save anything that she wanted to remember. "I love how these little white flowers just flow with the grass and I love how the grass looks like its just tall enough to be able to cover your bare feet!" She exclaimed to Leon with a bright smile on her face. There wasnt much to really look at around the castle all that was under the bridge was a pitch black abyss that fell into nothingness.

It was a spell that her father always kept up for everyones saftey in the castle. "Leon have you ever been outside of the castle before?" She looked over at her childhood friend with a smile on her face. "I have only been outside of the castle twice in my life time. Other than that no I have only been able to look outside of the castle window." He replied smiling happily at the young girl he loved so much. "I have finished with my sketchings of this area of the land. Lets continue on with our journey." Ace e said. "I do have a question for you Ace." Leon got her attention for a second.

"Yes Leon?" She asked him. "Well I was wondering where exactly are we going?" Ace stood there for a second not really sure what to say. 'Well I was thinking that we should actually figure out what my other half is before we do anything. What do you think Leon?" She asked. "I think that is a good place to start but how are we going to figure that one out?" Leon looked down at his childhood friend. "I think we should head to the closest town and see what we can find there about any mages who can help us."

"That would be an amazing start though the closest town is like a two days walk away from here I believe. I think your father also gave us a map of the world though I have no idea how to use it. You need to have the mage ability of sight seeing." He told her. "Alright had the stone over I am going to pull up the map." Ace took the stone from him then she turned it over a few times in her hand. She closed her eyes and foucsed on the stone sending her energy to the stone. As she did a huge map appeared over their heads. She took a a moment to try and pinpoint where exactly they were at on the map.

"We are located on the very most southern edge of the demon contenent. Specifically right here." Ace pointed to where they are located on the map and was a little surprised to see that the castle was located at the very center on the contenent. "I wonder if father is compensating for something. To have such a big castle and to be located directly in the center of the demon world is a very bold statement." Ace laughed to herself softly. Leon started to look closer and closer at the map, as he did he could see that the nearst town was actually more like a four days walk away.

'Well that isnt going to be a very fun walk for us. How are we going to make it before we run out of supplies." Leon started to dig around the bags rethinking how much they could eat before they run out. "Why dont I just summon a familiar to get us there a little bit faster. It should take off at least a day right?" Ace asked him. "yeah that would actually be perfect. Do you think you have magic enough for two dragons? I think that would actually cut our time down to just a day of flying. Though horses would be more than enough to be able to get us there in our original time." He said.

"I can try for the dragons. Might as well try and start making a statement of my own as a demon princess. Though I dont think that anyone would be able to know who I am. My father hasnt anounced it to the world has he?" Ace looked up at Leon as she asked her qestion. "I dont think so. Maybe this could be a good thing for you as well though. making your own name and without the title of your father being in front of you would be great." he told her. "Youre right. I think that it would be a good thing to not have his ghost following me everywhere I go. Alright lets begin this ritual for the summoning." Ace began to search around for her circle sketch.

"I knew that I was going to ned to be able to have my circles for my magic so I took skethes of all of them so that I wouldnt have to try and tattoo them on my body. I am going to save tt for the best of my magic. I have so much to learn." Ace told herself when she found the right cricle she needed. "Drasif please lend me your aid and send me two of your swiftest children. I ask for your aid dragon lord." Ace called out to the sky and listened to the wind. "I am at your service princess." Ace heard a deep rawring voice in the wind. "Thank you dragon Lord. I hope that you are doing well."

The skies around them started to turn dark with raging clouds and brisk heavy winds. As Ace listened closer she could hear something beating against the winds then she could see them. Dark ebony dragons flying right for them as fast as they could. Though they are huge bulky dragons they were able to land very gracfully without destroying any of the landscape around them. "You called for some help getting around? Are we too big princess?" The biggest of the dragons asked. "Maybe just a little is there anyway that you could change your shape?" Ace asked.

"Of course. I will take you on my back princess and my brother will carry your friend." The dragons shifted around a big then rawred. When they did this they begane to shink and shift into smaller versions of themselves. "Perfect! Thank you so much for allowing us to travel easier!" Ace exclaimed as she got on the back of the lead dragon. "Leon are you ready to ride on these dragons?" Ace asked. "Yes I am." He replied. "Thank you for your help dragon. I too am very gratful for your help." Leon looked up at the dragon and smiled then he climed on his back ready to fly away.

"Alright to the nearest town please!" Ace called out to the dragons and as soon as she did they both took to the skies flying at top speed to the town of Ganalreath. Ace used a telepathic spell so she could talk to Leon while they were flying through the skies. "What time do you think that we should get there?" Ace asked. "No later than noon at this speed. Hell we cant even sit up on these dragons they are going so fast. Can they hear us as well?" He asked. "No the only way they will be able to hear us is if I connect them to our link." She told him. "Ah alright. What do you want to do when we get to this new town?"

"Do you really think that there would be someone there who can tell me what I am?" Ace asked Leon. "I think someone will be able to tell us. I mean you dont exactly look like a demon after all. You know they all kind of have pale skin with raging pointy eyes. Or either they are as dark as these dragons we are riding. But you you have light brown skin with pointy ears. And not many races can even use magic let alone use it as well as you do Ace. Someone should be able to point us in some kind of direction." Leon said full of confidence.

"Did I ever tell you about the poem that the wind whispered to me?" She asked her friend. "Maybe? You should tell me again because I cant remember." He told her honestly. Ace rolled her eyes in her head. "Alright give me a second."

"Deep in the oceans of old,

Is where you will find the old,

There a heart was stolen,

Never to be found again,

You are the key sweet child,

Use my gift of light and life,

Be the light of the world."

"Nope I definintly dont remember that poem." Leon told her. "Do you think that someone was giving me a clue? Do you think that maybe it was my mother trying to tell me where she is?" Ace asked him curiosity filing her voice. "I dont know, honestly this sounds like something alot bigger than me you or even your mother. I hope that doesnt hurt you." Leon told her softly. "No Youre right it honestly sounds like a lot more than just my mother or anything with just us." Ace said softly more to herself than to her friend.

"What do you think the poem means though?" Ace asked Leon again. "I think that we should figure out which oceans we should be looking into. And we should know something about a stolen heart, if its literally a stolen heart." Leon told her. "Do you think anyone in this tiny would actually have any information about where we should start looking?" Ace asked sarcastically. "Well I think you should have more faith that we are going to be able to find any information. I think that you should figure out yourself first." Leon said. "Maybe you are right. though I dont want something to happen and we cant stop it."

"Yeah that is a tearifing thought. I hope that doesnt happen." Leon said. "Princess we are about two minutes away from the nearest town." He told her. "Wow that was really fast. I am glad that we have slown down enough to be able to talk to each other." Ace told him. "Thank you again for coming to our aid." They were directly directly over the town now, and now everyone is able to see them as they land. "Thank you again for your help dragons!" Ace called out as they were flying away. "You are welcome dearest princess!" Ace looked around for a minute wondering where she and Leon should start looking first when she heard someone call out to her. "Hello there little miss 'princess' where do you think youre getting off to showing off your little prowess like that?" The man who was approching them looked like a short angry mouce. Ace didnt understand why he looked so angry or why he was approching them

"Is something wrong?" Ace asked in a neautral tone. "Hell Yeah soemthing is wrong you bitch! Your ass needs to get the hell out of this town and you are going to be leaving right now!" The small man then pulled out a blade and attacked Ace. She just stood there waiting for him to get to her. His tiny legs just couldnt carry his tiny fat and round body. "Leon where do you think that we should start looking first?" Ace turned to Leon ignoring the tiny man making him stop in his tracks.

"The fuck do you think that you are doing? You cant just ignore someone who is trying to fucking kill you!" The tiny man yelled as he ran after Ace. "Leave me be." She flicked her wrist gently causing a gust of air to form pushing the small man to the ground. "If you keep trying to harm me I am going to hurt you. You have been warned this one and only time." Ace told him. Ace heard small murmers in the people that have started to gather around them. She could hear some people gasping and some people saying things like, "I hope that she is able to take him down."

"Why are you all just standing around?" She asked. "Because you are attacking someone who is part of the gang meant to enslave this town." A tall slender woman pushed her way through the crowd to meet them. "What business do you have with this man?" Ace turned to the woman. "He is the man I am sworn to protect him. They wont pay me if I let him get hurt. So I am going to have to ask you to leave this town." She told Ace. "I am not going to leave until I have my answeres and I will cut down anyone that gets in my way." Ace glared at her her eyes burning red.

"This is your death wish then." The tall woman said as she dissapeared. "Leon be on your toes." Ace told him and as soon as she did Leon pulled out his best blades. They have the ability to drain demon blood in order to make him stronger and it is a strenght that he gets to keep. Though once it is inside of him its much much weaker. "Use your telepathy to try and hone in on her location. Then I will take her down." Leon said quietly to Ace. "Alright. I will aid you in this fight." Ace closed her eyes putting all of her focus on telepathy. As she did she could see everything that is in the other world.

Ace focused hard on everything that she can see and she was sending everything that she could see to Leon. Ace eventually found the tall woman. THen she sent this thought to Leon, "I dont think you should attack her just yet. She doesnt know that you can teleport anywhere within 50 feet from you so I think that we should start to move around as if we are looking for her. So she thinks that we dont know that she is just standing where she 'vanished' at. Alright?" "Alright sounds good. Dont move too far away from me." Leon told her.

Ace and Leon started to move in different directions. They did this in hopes that they could confuse their attacker. Their plan was working, the attacker started to walk inbetween Leon and Ace looking from side to side wondering what they were going to be doing next. That is when Leon and Ace attacked at the same time. They havent been able to practice how they were going to fight together so everything they did was clumsy and unorganized. The attacker took advantage of that.

She first started to attack Ace as she did though she oculd tell that there was a wind barrier going ip and down around Ace so she couldnt get in close to her. Though Leon didnt have any kind of magic barrier. So she thought that maybe it would be a good idea to attack him first. Leon stood there with his eyes closed listening to the wind and listening to anything the earth might tell him. That is when he could hear her footsteps though he didnt react at first to make her think that she was going to be able to land a hit on him.

Leon stomped his foot on the ground making the earth all around him tremble causing the tall attacker to fall and be trapped by the earth that Leon was controlling. "You really thought that you could sneek up on an assasin from the Trabetha family!" Leon yelled as he trapped in the earth. "Leon dont get carried away we need to know why they are attacking. We need answred from her ad from the people around here." Ace told Leon.

"Alright I will not kill her. I am going to keep her stuck in the earth though." Leon told her. "That is fair, we dont need to have anyone getting away from us. Why are you guys trying to kick us out of town? What kind of threat do we pose on you and your short master?" Ace asked the tall woman. "I am only hired to protect and too kill whatever gets in my way. You guys are in my way so I am supposed to kill you. But that doesnt seem posible because you are too cautious and your friend wants to murder everyone."

"Hes not just my friend. He is my guardian and someone I trust deeply with my life." Ace told her. "Ah so you guys are fucking got it. " Ace then decided it was time to just shut her up so she kicked her in the face. "Stupid bitch." Ace grumbled to herself. "And as for you little man why are you here? And why did you think that it would be smart to attack peoeple that you dont even know? You dont know what kind of magic that we use or what kind of weapons that we have on us. You just attacked us blindly." Ace finished in a rush.

"You guys arent worth shit! You both can just go fuck each other off the side of a cliff for all I care!" As soon as he was finished Leon crushed his head with a rock causing all kinds of blood splater everywhere. "Thank you Leon." Ace said as she looked at her friend. She really looked at his for a second that is when she could see that he was truly angry. She told herself that she would ask about why he was so mad when the time was right. For now she needed answers and she wasnt getting them from the people who decided that it would be a good idea to attack them.

"To the people that are just standing around here why do you all feel the need to push everyone who comes here out of your town?" Ace called out. "Its not that we need people to kick new faces out but that the gang who controlls this area feels that they need to push everyone that they feel is stong out and when you showed up you showed that you have a great force about you." An old man called out from the bunched up crowd. "Why havent any of you tried to stop them from taking over everything that you have?" Ace asked the shrivled old man.

"They have killed anyone that we sent to help free us from their grasp. I know you only just got here but we will do anything for you if you agree to helping us in this small villiage." The old man said with a very sad look in his eyes. Ace thought maybe he even looked embarassed to be asking them for help in the first place. "We are looking for supplies and information. We need as much as you all can give. If you can garentee us what we need then we will consider helping you guys." Leon said with a straight face. Ace was surprised at how hes acting.

"We thank you. I am sure our council will be able to provide you with any information that you may need as long as it involves this realm and no other." The old man said with a smile on his face. "The gang memebrs stay at the mansion down in the valley east of this village towards the great colain river. We have tried to flood the vally to get them out but that plan didnt work due to us not having enough man power. And by the way my name is Ruth. I am the Elder of our council." He told them. "Come on Ace lets go flush these guys out and show them that they cant pick on others." Leon said while he was smiling.

Ace couldnt help herself as she looked down at the tiny man and tall attacker woman. She had a terrible feeling about all of this and she couldnt undstand why. That is when Garth appereard, he is the smartest of all her familiars. She decided that maybe it would be a good idea to ask him if he thought that this is a good idea so ace used the telepathy spell to talk to her cat. "Garth I am so glad that you are here." Ace said. "I thought something smelled fishy so I wanted to see what was happening. How can Leon be so quick to help these people. I mean sure you guys could take on this whole village but why do that?" He asked.

"I dont know, Maybe he is trying to gain their trust. I am going to ask him doesnt he think a town with a council and organization need help. Hell the people didnt even look like they were afraid." Ace stood there as Leon walked with the old man. Ace decided that it would be a good idea to keep the two attackers stuck in the ground so she put a dome over their heads and also a tracking spell on them if they decided that they were going to break away from the earth. "Leon can I talk to you about this for a second." Ace called to him.

"Sure ill be right there. Thank you for filling me in more I am going to tell my friend what you have told me." Leon ran back to where Ace stayed planted. "Hey dont you think that this is a little odd. Dont you think that they look like they are more than able to handle themselves. Hell this is a demons conutry they should know that if they cant fight for themselves that they are going to die." Ace looked up at her friend. "Yeah I thought that all of this did seem kind of weird but if we help them then we could probably get some information on your origin and even that poem"

"Alright. Though I am going to keep my guard up the whole time. I am going to have my familiar garth stay with me. If things get ugly then he can just slip back into my shadow. Right Garth?" She asked and after she did Garth gave a big meow in agreement. "Okay with all that worked out do you just want to head straight to the mansion?" leon asked. "Yes I do if this is a trap I want to go ahead and get it out of the way and take over this little town. You know build my ranking as a demon lord." Ace said more to herself than to Leon.

Ace used her element wind to put up a barrier around her a Leon as they were walking to the woods to get to the mansion. "Are we just going to knock down the front door and take over the whole place?" Leon asked with a smile on his face. "yeah that is what we are going to do. Just knock out the enemy and take over the place for ourselves." She replied. As they got closer to the mansion they could hear people laughing and talking inside. "These stupid ass towns people cant even take care of themselves they always have to get someone to come and get help for them!" A man yelled from inside the home.

"Why havent Biny and Tetrath returned?" Ace and Leon heard a soft voice ask while they were standing just outside the doors of the mansion. "I have no fucking idea kid now why dont you scram and go jump in the river or something!" The man threw the doors open to throw the kid out as he did he had to stop in his tracks to look at Leon and Ace. He was a tall grizzled looking man with a face full of scares. "So we have come here to take over yalls opperation. If you dont want to get hurt I suggest that you put the kid down and that you guys just leave." Ace said calmly.

Everyone is the building erupted into laughter. "You really think that we are going to be afraid of a little girl!" Someone yelled from behind the big man. "I dont think you understand the position that you are in." Ace said in a neutral tone. When she did Leon took the kid that the grizzled man was holding and put him behind trying to protect him from what Ace was about to do. She sent the wind and air that was around them into the home of these bandits causing them to scream. The wind was tearing into any skin that wasnt covered by cloth even though the winds ripped most of their clothing to peices.

"Leave and stop bothering this small town. It is now mine to take over. I am going to take over this entire contenant and you all are going to serve me as you goddess!" As Ace yelled the wind whipped around more and more causing all of them to scatter. Well all but one. The tall grizzled looking man. he stood there letting his skin be cut open over and over again. "Are you done you littel whelp?" He asked in a cold angry voice. "What are you going to do If I am not done?" Ace asked the anger in her voice rising. "I am going to crush you just like how I plan to crush the demon king himself!" He yelled laughing as he spoke. Ace couldnt help herself.

She fell to the floor just laughing as hard as she could Saying in between breaths. "You kill the demon king? That is the funniest thing that I have heard sense I started the joury and I only started today!" As she laugh she decided that he would scare this man into running or begging to join her. She summoned all of her magic together then thrusted it towards the man causing it to go right through his stomach. He didnt even flich.

Ace started to get a little bit concerend so she decided that maybe it would be a good idea to just finish him off. As soon as she had that thought he lunged forward reaching for her head so he could try and crush it inbetween his hands. "That isnt a good idea big man." Leon said to himself. As the tall man got closer to Ace the angrier she got till finally all of her rage surged out causing the air around them to move around in a rush with no control. She focused on the man causing the air to only whip around him. As it did she began to sufficate the man due to him not getting any oxygen.

He thrashed around for a bit trying to break free. As he did blood flew everywhere. Ace walked up to the man and reached into the vortex of wind to touch his arm. Her being in contact with her enemy allows her to steal all of his or her magic energy and abilities. She did this as a way to show her enemy that they have no way of breaking free or having a way to fight back. "You really dont have any magic do you. Man now I feel kind of stupid for going all out on you." Ace said as she shock her head. "Alright I wont kill you. Though you are going to have to leave this place." Ace let him go and he ran out of the mansion.

Ace decided to check in the tracking spell that she put on the frist two attackers of theirs. They havent moved from the spot that her and Leon left them in. She then turned to the big gizzled man to see him sitting there taking in deeo breaths, she wondered for a second if she might have accidentally stolen his soul then he started to speak. "Where is the child?" He asked quietly. "The child is with my companion and the child will stay in our care until we can find his family." Ace told him. "Good because we were tasked with stealing the child. The two people who first attacked you are the ones that took him."

"How were they able to get him?" Ace asked the man. "They have convinced him that his parents dont want himanymore and they have convinced him that they are his friends. I am the leader of the group but when they didnt give me the money for the job they decided to try and take over the area to try and get close to the Demon lord." He told Ace not once making eye contact with her. "We are going to stop this and you need to leave. Now." She finished anger growing in her voice. "Alright. I am leaving." The tall man got up slowly and walked out of the masion just as slowly. He did turn around for just a moment. He told Ace and Leon his name, "Baretooth" Is all that they call him.

"Well that certainly is an interesting title for a big man like that" Leon said to himself. He stood there watching and holding the kid as he was crying. "So no one actually wants me after all... Not my parents... Not even the people who made me think that they are my friends... why do people want to do this to me..." The small fraile looking boy sat there crying In Leons arms. "What are we going to do about him?" Leon asked as Ace walked up to them. "We are going to try and find his family." She told him and he nodded his head in agreement. "We cant just leave a small child here. No matter what has happened. How are we going to find his parents and your mother at the same time?" Leon asked.

"I think that we should try and find his family first, that would be the right thing to do." After she spoke the little boy started to cry more and more. "I want to go home and I want to sleep in my bed! I want to see my sister and I want my dragon!" He yelled more and more. "Listen kid you are going to have to calm down if you want us to help you." Leon told him in a slightly annoyed tone. "How are you stupid people going to help me!" The kid yelled so loud both Leon and Ace had to cover their ears till he didnt have enough breath to scream. Ace approched the kid and as she did she saw him flinch. She stopped for a second but she still decided to approch him.

"What is your name small child?" Ace asked in a small tone. "Why do you care.." The boy said in a small quite voice. "Because I want to get to know you and I want to see what all I can do to help you." Ace said softly with a smile on her face. "Will you please tell us your name?" Leon sat beside the small boy. "My name is Falrith... I lived deep in the ancient forests of old... Balkareth. I stayed there with my mother and sister, they showed me how to use magic and stand for myself but I still fell for those lies that Biny and Tete... Why would they do this to me..." Falrith started to cry softly instead of screaming loudly.

"Flarith my name is Ace and this here is my companion Leon. We are on the journey for knowledge about my mother. I have lost my mother as well. Though I dont think that I have any siblings." Ace finished in a soft smile. "Is there any way that we could maybe find our families together?" Falrith asked softly. "I am sure that we can but I think for someone as young as you we should find your family first." Falrith looked up at Ace and smiled. "What if maybe I want to stay with you and learn magic with you?" Falriths smile faltered a little. "Unless you dont want me with you. We just met and I am just a kid. I am 7 years old."

"I would love to have you as my apprentice but I think that we should get your mothers permission for something like that first. Afterall she did start teaching you first. It would be an insult to her if she didnt get the chance to decide." Ace smiled softly at Falrith. "Come on you guys we need to go and check on the villiage." Leon said. Everyone was up and on their feet then walking towards to town. "I hope that everyone is okay in the villiage. I also hope that this wasnt some elaborate trap. Ace I think you should put up your wind sheild around all of us. I will travel in the back of the group while Fal you walk inbetween me and Ace."

Everyone did as Leon told them to. They were able to walk back to the villiage quickly and quietly. "Ace do you hear anything coming from the villiage? Do you hear any Laughter or crying?" Leon asked in a quiet hushed voice. After he asked the question he could see both Falriths and Aces ears twitch. Though while they were listening Ace has her eyes closed and her back turned to both Leon and Falrith. Leon couldnt help but giggle a little bit as he was watching them. "What are you laughing at Leon?" Ace asked him. "And no I dont hear anything coming from the villiage. Do you think that they left or something?" Ace asked.

"No I doubt that, I think that maybe they are just in their homes waiting for us to report in to the Elder councile member. Should we go ahead in the town? Also you have someone watching you." Ace finally turned around at that point and when she looked down she could see that Falrith was standing there looking up at her and twitching his ears. She couldnt help but laugh at him for a second. "You are so adorable. Come on lets go and head into the villiage. We should be careful though." Ace told them. "Alright you guys stay in formation with me and we should be okay even if someone is to attack us right now." Leon told them in a stren voice.

Ace Leon and Falrith all walked quickly through the villiage looking for the elder councile members home. "Man why isnt anyone walking around doing any kind of shoping or even talking to each other. It is like everyone just vanished." As Leon was finishing his sentence he could hear very loud footsteps coming right towards them. "Everyone stand your ground and Falrith stay behind me!" Ace called out to everyone as she through up her wind barrier to protect everyone. As the foot steps grew closer and closer they could start to see the siloets of people riding on large boares.

"Hello there you guys! How did the fight at the mansion go?" The man called out from the front of the animals as they were riding closer and closer. Eventually Leon and Ace could see that it was the entire villiage on giant hogs. "Where did you all go?" Leon called out. "We all decided that it would be a good idea to get out of the villiage before anything bad started to happpen to any of us. We also didnt want to get in you guys way." The old man smiled brightly at them that is when he looked down and he saw the small boy. "Were they holding him hostage?" As soon as the old man finished his sentence the small man screached out.

"We didnt kidnapp anyone you asshats!" He yelled at everyone in the group. "I forgot that I left them in the ground I guess that I can let them out now that we know that they are not a threat anymore." Ace released the spells that she placed them under. As soon as she did the tiny man shot out of the ground and ran towards them, though before Biny could reach them the tall woman grabbed him and yanked him back. "That stupid little kid isnt worth it. He doesnt realize that his family willing gave him to us." She said in a cold sneer. "Can you prove that?" Ace said in a cold tone. "His mother didnt want him so she just handed him over to use when she went into the black market. She erased all of his memory of being there with her so he wouldnt know about her doing that."

"Can you prove that?" Ace asked again in the same tone. The tall woman Falrith called TeTe yelled in anger. "If you want the proof why dont you lift the spell that in on his mind! Why dont you free his memories! She didnt even charge us for the boy she just handed him over! We are leaving now Biny. We need to find the rest of the group at the home." She finished in a rush. "I ran them out of that home and I will run you out of there to oif I have to." Ace said in a neutral tone staring blanky at the girl. She then whorled around on her heels glaring at Ace. "I am going to fucking kill you bitch!" She yelled as she threw herself at Ace.

"You shouldnt have done that." Ace said as she built up the air around her and thrusted it at TeTe knocking back down to the ground. Ace walked over to her slowly pushing down on her with the air and wind that she is controling. "Can you prove what you told us. Can you look that boy in the face and tell him that his mother just gave him away to people who would probably end up killing him and selling his body for parts?" As Ace spoke the angry tone in her voice grew. "No! How the hell can I prove that to you! Its not like I know how to lift the spell!" She screamed and thrashed around when she spoke. "Where did you guys make the trade off?"

"We did it in a town hundreds of miles away from here! Hell I cant even tell you what the name of the town in you bitch!" When she stopped yelling Ace pressed down on her harder making it almost imposible for her to breath. "O.. Okay.. I. Ill tell.. Yo... You ... Where.. the Pl..ace is..." Ace stopped pushing down on her so hard so that she could speak. "It was back in the forest that he is from. The Guild hall there was holding an underground market that night and his mother was there. She had a really dark look on her face as she walked the boy on the stage. She announced that she was giving her son away for a place on the Magic coucile. I took a gamble and offered to take him, though I never got her on the coucile because I left town right after." as she spoke she just looked at Ace glaring.

"Okay you can leave now." Ace flicked her wrist causing both her and the short man high into the air throwing clear out of town. Ace turned to her friends and smiled softly even though she could see that Falrith had started crying softly again. It broke her heart though she couldnt understand why. Once she was closer to them she looked down at this small boy who just stood there sobbing softly. "Fal can I take a look in your mind to see if all that she said is true?" He didnt say anything he just nodded his head a little. Ace waited for a minuet to see if he would change his mind. "I need to know if it is true." He said in a small tone. "though be warned i might not be able to see everything that is in your mind."

"I Understand that . Please help me." Falrith looked up at her and smiled softly even though he was still crying. "Alright we need to get to a river of some kind. Its a good thing that there is a river here." "Hold on there kids. This villiage still needs to give you your reward. You said that you guys were looking for answers." The elder councile member said smiling softly at the group. Ace looked at the man for a second before she could muster up the courage to ask. "I want to know what my other half is. I know that I am a demon but as you all could see i can use magic better than any demon. I can even steal magic away from other people." Ace looked up at the man with a worried look on her face.

"Hmm that one is going to be hard to figure out. Were you heading to the river as a way to connect with your strongest element?" He asked. "Yes that is why we need to head to a river. Running or moving water helps to boost my strenght even more." The old man smiled. "Lets all go to the river. It will help clear my vision as I see into your soul." Ace smiled softly then everyone began to head back in the direction of the mansion so they could go to the river that is near it. "Lets get there in a hurry I am excited to see what we can find out about this young lady here!" The Elder councile member yelled in excitment.

Ace and Falrith were both holding hands as they didnt know what to expect from any of this. Falrith didnt know how to take the information that was told to him by the two people he trusted. Ace was scared to know her other half because all she has ever known was how to be a demon and all she knows is destruction. No one was ever able to teach her about any of her life giving abilities. They walked for a while because no one was in a rush to get to the river. "Alright everyone we are almost to the river. Does anyone have any second thoughts about this before we get started?" The old man turned to both Ace and Falrith waiting for their response. To everyones surprise Falrith spoke first.

"I am ready to find out what has happened to me but the person who I want to discover that is Ace please sir." Falrtih said in a small tone. The old man smiled softly. "Ace?" She hesitated for a second before answering. "I want to know my other half. Its kind of weird to think about how I just left home to figure this out. Is it really that simple?" She asked almost sounding as small as Falrith. "Do not worry child. It is not hard to find out where someones ancesters come from. Once we know the other race everything else will come naturally." The old man smiled softly as they approched the wide river. "If you guys are ready go ahead and head to the center of the river." He told them still smiling. Ace walked out to the river alone as Falrith wanted her to be the one to discover the truth behind his abduction.
