X, Marks the spot

The morning sunshine, atmosphere, and smell normally brings joy into a person's life, but for Tae that only made him remember the pain of last night and how badly he wanted it to disappear. He hadn't heard from Jungkook in what felt years to him and to say the least it was bothering him. He didn't want him spiraling out of control and causing himself great harm, as much as he was upset with him he didn't want him hurt. To make matters worse, he hadn't told Hobi hyung what had happened and where he was currently, if he did, he wouldn't hear the end of how irresponsible he was for going to a complete strangers' home and spending the night on his bed, nonetheless even if nothing happened between the two as Mark slept on the couch while Tae slept on his bed as per his request, Hobi would still fry him alive. Mark had shown Tae how to lock the door if he felt threatened or scared of anything with the inclusion of himself, which Tae did, but knowing and judging the situation he slept with one eye open, even the slightest of sound would cause him to wake up. This aided in ensuring that he didn't have a good night's sleep.

He took his phone out from his backpack side pocket and saw the millions of messages that came through from his uncle:

'Hi Tae, where are you?'

'Why can't I get a hold of Jungkook?'

'Where are you guys and why are you all being silent...I starting to get worried now.'

he performed a small smile on his face before responding:

'Morning Hyung, don't worry about it, we're perfectly fine, we are just both tired after the wonderful night we had together but I'm not going to give you the details in case I corrupted you, but thanks for the concern it means a lot to me, anyway have an amazing day and well talk later."

He was touched by his uncle's care for him. Hobi had always been the one that was there for him, he filled in that vault of a fatherless boy in Tae. After his parent's death, Tae was never the same again, as much as he was young at the time of the accident, he still had a sense that something wasn't right in his life. He longer heard his mother's sweet voice in the morning or feeling his father tickle him before bedtime, Hobi never wanted him to feel that pain, so he would sing for him every time he would wake him up for school and tickle him twice after picking him up and before bedtime. Hobi and his grandmother but respectively took him in and nurtured him the way his parents used to.

Just thinking about his past life always brought tears to his face, he didn't want to think of it as a nightmare, but rather as a lesson.

He continued scrolling through to his phone, actually looking for any messages or missed calls from Jungkook, according to messaging app he was online at least 2 hours ago but hasn't even sent through a message to Tae, but anyway, why would he after all the things Tae had said to him, he broke his heart and left him defeated especially when he needed support after what he had been through from that cellar. He couldn't help wanting to be in the hands of his baby, kissing him and feeling his warm breath on him, just like they would do every morning. Just relaxing in each other's arms, knowing that they were the only two that mattered at that moment.

He was just close to dialing his number and hearing his voice, but then he forgot that Jungkook would know it was him who was calling and thus not want to pick up

"'Hey, Taehyung are you awake...breakfast is almost ready," Mark said quietly whilst leaning against the door. Tae heard him but his mind was still on Jungkook as he stared at his wallpaper of him on his phone in his finest outfit, hair a bit curly and lips formed into a cute yet seductive pout he so wanted to kiss those lips again, his clothes were a perfect fit, but yet they clearly show his perfect features, his redefined muscles, small waist, broad chest, that always seemed to make Tae's mouth water. Jungkook looked so cute yet so manly at the same time.

But as much as could miss him, be didn't have the courage to speak to him or at least ask him what the hell was going on between them and how do they fix it.

Tae made his way to the dining table located not so far from the lounge and the kitchen. He saw a plate of a full-on English breakfast, and he suddenly raised a brow at Mark who sat across from him with a glass of orange juice in his hand and the daily newspaper. He couldn't believe that the person sitting across from him, with such a breakfast in front of him was actually a cab driver, yet again that would be judgemental if he thought like that. He looked quite serious in contrast to the person whom he saw just the night before.

"Are you planning on standing there and staring at me or do you plan on sitting down and eating your breakfast? I know that I'm gorgeous but please you can stop "

"Wow, you didn't have to be so mean about it, besides it not like I was staring for that long, I was just a bit shocked at the scenery in front of me and whatever happened to 'Good Morning'...you know if you had to say that at home...Jungkook would have..."

Tae stopped himself, he didn't know when Jungkook's name had escaped his mouth, Mark just put his paper down and looked at the young boy. He looked as though he was waiting for Tae to finish his sentence.

"Taehyung can I tell you something...in this life if something bothered us to an extent that we can't seem to help ourselves from even mentioning it or the person that means that it was something that was meant to be. I don't know you well and I'm not going to act like it or even try to pry into your life but what I can see is that this Jungkook guy left a serious mark on your life, if you are still here beating yourself about whatever happened between the two of you then you know that he is innocent. I fail to understand how someone who supposedly has a vendetta against his boyfriend and hates him with all his heart can still feel the pain that you are currently feeling. If you still loved the guy then why the hell would you break up with him?"

"Our story is complicated. He is actually my fiance...well was. I caught him doing something unthinkable and it ended badly for the both of us, I didn't know how to think in that situation so I just broke it off."

"One thing you must understand is that if a relationship doesn't work out the way you want it to, then the problem isn't you, it's them. I mean look at you, you are probably the age of my younger brother, you supposed to be in college bettering your life with education yet here you are fooling around with a man who probably already has all the things he needed in life and more, good job, great house, successful life, money, the whole package just name it, but look at you. You still live under someone's roof, don't own your own money. I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but I feel like the guy is using you and you are clearly falling for it."

As much as he didn't like the way that Mark was talking about him like that, he couldn't help but noticed that he brought up compelling points, points that Tae didn't have the time to think about before he submitted to his relationship with Jungkook.
