Dry ice is the solid form of carbon dioxide (CO2). Four percent of what we exhale is carbon dioxide. Dry ice is a very cold substance, -78.5 degrees Celsius to be exact. Dry ice can be very dangerous as it will turn into a gas over time and increase the CO2 percentage in the air. This may cause people to inhale large amounts of the gas which can be compared to suffocation. It is also very cold, so cold that it will not only be able to freeze your cells but also burn you. 


Dry ice is really magical. It changes from a solid directly into a gas form and skips the liquid phase.


The main use of dry ice is cooling, but it can also be used to create smoke effects and ice cream. If you are interested in an almost instant ice cream, just head on over to YouTube and search for dry ice ice cream.
