Sharks and Blood

Most humans wouldn't be comfortable going far into the ocean as there numerous risks associated with it. One of them happens to be sharks as most people might have already heard of how sharks can smell blood up to 1 km away. This is not only true but great white sharks are even able to sense blood from 5 km away. Under normal circumstances, you'll never bleed enough to attract a large pack of sharks, as by the time you would, you would be long dead.

As tested by the YouTuber Mark Rober, (some) sharks don't give a fudge about human blood and or urine. In his experiment he first pumped large quantities of cow blood into the ocean (alongside urine and fish oil) and the blood only attracted large amounts of sharks after 20 min. In the last 40 minutes about one shark per minute dropped by. The urine attracted nothing disproving the surfer myth that urinating could attract sharks and the fish oil actually attracted 4 sharks.

Whilst using human blood, he pumped it out at a rate of 1 drop every 4 seconds and no sharks cared whatsoever. This pretty much proves that a small cut would never attract a large swarm of sharks.

If see a shark swimming aggressively towards you, don't be the fool who tried to outswim a large fish (unless you are really close to other people or a boat). Your best chances are to attack it in any way you can. Go for the gills/eyes, pretty much anything thing that seems like it would hurt.
