One main issue that a utopia needs to solve is a lack of purpose for it's inhabitants. If humans lack purpose they'll never be able to feel satisfied. It doesn't if their other needs are satiated, nothing will feel special if it's all readily available.
Based on experiments, they usually only survive an average of 5 generations in such a setting. Mentally they always rapidly regress with each passing year. Conflicts over pointless matters will become common. Degeneration into every kind of depravity seems to be inevitable.
In conclusion, a utopia is not what humans needs. What they need is a common enemy. An overwhelming might or catastrophe that will force them to cooperate or face extinction.
Further studies are required.
