Ideal Pet

For any forgetful person, a crocodile is an ideal pet. They can easily survive a few years without food, so you don't need to worry about that.

You will however quickly be forced to break your forgetful habits as a hungry crocodile isn't something you want to encounter a second time... if there is one.
