Peck

Chickens are bloodthirsty animals. Once they see blood, they'll keep on pecking. So if another chicken ever bleeds, they'll keep pecking the bloody spot until the chicken dies.

This is basically the whole "don't show any weaknesses in public" but on a slightly more dramatic level. If you do, you'll need to take into account that they may be abused.
