Disturbance

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!" Lord Logros roared exuberantly as he and his warriors in the platform looked towards the stage Ysmir stood on.

Odin, his brothers and the girls were also in the stance watching Ysmir's match without much surprise.

"You have grown, son of Yohr! So much so that Isnok is no match for you, I commend you!"

Previously, Ysmir stepped onto the stage with Isnok, the first and last warrior Ysmir faced around four years ago, without a weapon and he lost miserably.

Many who watched expected Ysmir to use his axe against Isnok, but not only did he keep the axe on his back, he merely maneuvered around Isnok's strikes before countering with a heavy blow towards the man's face, completely knocking him unconscious.

The redhead made it look too easy, and Isnok was currently ranked at #994 in the rankings on the stone, which would be changed.

Isnok's rune-engraved name lit up in a blue light before it disappeared and appeared just below at rank #995.

While a new bright rune-engraved name popped up on #994.

Rank # 994: Ysmir Yohrson.

Ysmir smiled gleefully, out of the whole situation he didn't struggle, he definitely became stronger.

And the most satisfying thing of all, was that he still had his weighted cuffs on.

"Your name is now officially on my ranks, and you can now be considered a warrior of Asgard. I am proud to say that you, Ysmir, will be one of our mightiest if not the strongest. But it is not over yet, what say you, will you keep trying for more honor and glory?" Logros asked in anticipation, excited for the entertainment he will see.

"Hmm." Ysmir hummed in thought. "Perhaps later, I have things to do." He said before walking off stage surprising many.

Even Odin and company are shocked.

'Later'? Did Ysmir just dismiss the challenges of the Colosseum? Is he afraid?

Even Odin knew that Ysmir had always wanted to contend in the stages of the Colosseum, and must have been itching to get back in it for the past four years.

But just after one bout he seemed to not have much thought of it any more.

"Later?! What nonsense, what business does a child like you have? Are you afraid?!" Logros almost barked out.

He's seen every fight possible in the colosseum, and he has no pleasure from them any more.

Recently, Sigrun, Hilda and Kara had given him some amusement while they fought to get to their current ranks but it wasn't enough.

Odin gave him some of the best challenges he had seen in the colosseum but he had unfortunately reached his limits as his physical might is not as strong as his divine lightning.

But the boy that just walked off stage after a one-strike-win, the redhead named Ysmir seemed to have more potential in might than all of the young æsirs.

What a joyful thing it would be to witness, yet he wishes to postpone.

"Fare thee well!" Ysmir said his goodbyes before walking off followed by his friends.

Logros plopped onto his seat, disappointed, while the mightiest warriors near chuckled.

"I thought you would have stayed much longer for a better rank." Odin thought aloud as they followed Ysmir.

"I have time, but I must see my dear old Master Roknos."

"That shouldn't be possible, currently." Odin said.

Ysmir paused, turning towards blondie #1. "And why is that?"

"Lady Eidis and Lord Roknos have gone on for some tasks by my father."

"What sort of tasks?" Ysmir asked, the others seemed to lean in waiting for the reasons as well.

"That I do not know." Odin said helplessly.

Though he was a prince, he was not informed as he was still a child in their father's eyes.

"Well now I'm curious, and I know just how to satisfy my curiosities." Ysmir turned towards one of Valaskjalf's towers.

Odin huffed helplessly.

••••••••

"It was here, Lady Eidis."

The figure of a sorceress appeared, along with her was a man quiet but observant, with all sorts of blade weaponries and a bow.

The sorceress, Lady Eidis, walked with a wooden staff with an orb at the top of it, on her shoulders residing a white owl curiously looking around.

"Yet I see nothing, though there are signs of struggle on the ground. Is this your doing?" Lady Eidis asked.

"Yes, as I scouted here, a witch ambushed me, her magic was strong but her might weak. And though her magic was strong it was not able to penetrate my armor, to which I became the victor." The scout reported once again.

"Until you were surrounded by the enemies, what did they look like?" Roknos asked.

"Many were witches, talented in dark magic while a few had dark armors who fight just as mighty as our warriors, if not stronger." The scout relayed, shamefully.

"Anything worthy of note?" Eidis asked the scout.

"There was a beast, it was quite savage than any beast I've witnessed, and abominable. The moment it appeared I felt its unbearable power, I could not stand it and I knew I had to run." The scout said as he looked away, afraid he would be called a coward in front of Eidis and Roknos who are considered the best warriors in Asgard.

"You have made the right choice, Lonkarr." Eidis spoke with certainty.

To which the scout turned their way, surprised.

As the children of Bor Burison, the All-Father of Asgard, they followed his example down to their soul and bones.

Bor Burison was an honorable and glorious æsir, who never backed down no matter the situation. From the way the old æsirs spoke of his battles, he would rather die than run like a coward.

Bor would fight side-by-side with any companion be it soldier or lord as if they were brothers or sisters.

He honored his warriors, protected his people and crushed his enemies with his insurmountable divine powers and might.

Buri is THE God of the æsirs, the one who created the people with his unquestionable powers.

But Bor is their current God who built their homes, gave them power, honor and glory.

He is Asgard's pride.

They would do anything for him, and would rather die in his honor than for him to hear that they ran in fear in the face of danger.

So it was reasonable for Lonkarr to react that way.

"If you had not decided to run, and face them instead, we would not know about this threat." Roknos spoke. "It is too close to Asgard to leave them be, had you passed on to the afterlife without informing the All-Father, then we would not have enough time to prepare and see when they dare attack Asgard."

The scout, Lonkarr nodded, but had a frown on his face.

What they said made sense, but in his heart it felt wrong. Wouldn't battling to the death give him a better and glorious death?

"Agreed." Eidis turned towards Lonkarr. "Honor and glory is a great thing to achieve, but the safety of our people must come first."

"Agreed!" Roknos walked up towards Lonkarr and patted his shoulder. "Fret not, warrior. Though you did not gain honor and glory, but you have gained them in other ways."

"I have?"

"Yes, as Lady Eidis said, the safety of our people should come first. If not, then our people would be slaughtered, the greatest creations of Buri himself would cease to exist." Roknos explained as simply as he could.

"Enough." Eidis interrupted just as Lonkarr comprehended what Roknos said. "The beast appeared due to you putting an end to that witch?" She asked to which the scout nodded.

Lady Eidis raised her staff before softly tapping the bottom of it on the ground.

*Whoosh*

A small transparent energy spread from the bottom of the staff, it expanded far on the ground before their eyes could not see it anymore.

When it spread everything was normal except for the few things they discovered, remnants of energy in the area, sorcery and extradimensional energy.

"Dimensional beings…" Lady Eidis frowned.

"Dimensional?!" Lord Roknos blurted out. "How advanced are they?"

With that question, they turned towards the scout.

"I'm not entirely sure, the one I battled fought with witchcraft. I noticed they had witches and warriors in their ranks when they surrounded me, the beast might be tamed as it seemed to only focus on me."

"Military formations and response, they are organized." Lord Roknos concluded.

"Then we can also assume they have their own civilization." Lady Eidis hummed. "They seem to also have proficiency in dark magic and commendable strength…"

"Should we scout more ahead?" Lord Roknos turned towards her.

She stayed silent for a moment, her thoughts churning. "It might be wise to return…but if they are potential enemies then we should do so to understand what we will be up against."

Lord Roknos became focused.

Finally, he thought. His boredom would have slain him had he remained in Asgard any longer without a chance to sharpen his blades.

"Return to Asgard, and relay what has happened here." Lady Eidis turned towards the scout. "We will return when we have more for the All-Father."

"At your command, Lady Eidis." He then turned to the other warrior bidding his goodbye. "Lord Roknos."

The scout made his way onto the edge of the mountain before hopping onto the sailboat, flying sailboat, and made his way to Asgard off the dead planet.

"Where shall we start?" Lord Roknos asked.

"Here." Lady Eidis walked towards a certain area before staring at the highlighted energy remnants she found. "It seems they made a path, a dimensional pathway where they travel back and forth from their home."

"Not as fancy as the bifrost." He stated biasedly.

"Of course, you would say such. Not many beings can make something as close as the bifrost, but they have their own methods."

"Hoot." The owl on her shoulders called out.

"I know, Ugla. But we must." She tapped her staff on the ground again before waving her free hand in certain ways before she tapped her staff on the point of interest, where the air and debris suddenly got sucked in.

*Whooooorrrr*

The dark but bluish hole in space expanded until Lord Eidis and Lord Roknos walked through it without hesitation.

•••••••

On a certain tower in the golden palace, Valaskjalf, Mimir's observatory.

Ysmir, Odin and the others made themselves comfortable as Mimir informed them of Lord Roknos' whereabouts as well as the current tasks they have.

Unlike Bor, who keeps most things from Odin let alone his friends because he is not ready nor have any obligations to Asgards affairs, Mimir would gladly and often tell them of such affairs.

As he considered Odin and his friends to be the next Lords and Ladies of the palace, the next generations mightiest warriors and sorcerers.

It would do good to keep them informed as it would prepare them for what they could be dealing with when they finally take their positions in the palace's court.

Plus, if some "things" don't work out, Mimir thought, Odin would be a great candidate for the throne of Asgard. The second prince has the strength and wisdom for it.

The All-Father, Bor Burison, knew of this. The only thing that stops him though is the tradition that started with him.

Bor defeated his father Buri in pure strength alone, where he then took his position as king and All-Father of Asgard.

But the only one currently capable of defeating him anytime soon, would be his firstborn, Cul Borson, who also happens to be the rightful ruler of Asgard.

Odin has neither advantage no matter how wise and dutifully he carries himself.

"Lord Mimir, can you give us your consent to also follow and assist them?" Ysmir asked in anticipation, this might be a chance to finally get out of Asgard and travel the cosmos. "I give you my word that we will not be troublesome."

Odin and the others hearing Ysmir's request turned to Mimir as well, it would be great if they could travel out and experience the world outside as well.

"What nonsense, when have you never caused trouble?" Lord Mimir asked, though it was more of a statement.

"I swear upon m—"

"No, Ysmir. You fools are not ready to travel until you have proven yourself in your coming-of-age ceremony, once that happens you are more than ready by the All-Father's say."
