Chapter 9

ADRAIN'S POV

Yes, I am in love with Melissa. I have been in love with her for 6 years. I have dated other girls. For 2 reasons,

1. To make it look like I like another girl

2. To hopefully move on from her

But it never seemed to work. I am madly in love with Melissa. Of course, I will never tell her. I don't want to ruin our friendship or anything, and this friend with benefit thing is  the closest I can get to her. I'm not the person to trash any relationship she has with another guy,  I just want her to be happy. And if having fwb with her is making her happy, then so be it. 

I know doing this will make my feelings strong toward her. And I don't care. My hope is that in the end, she will have gained feelings for me and we will be happy together.

"We will probably make more rules along the way, but those are the main ones." she said and I nodded.

"But how are we supposed to know when the other one is horny and want s to have sex? I mean it's not like during lunch or something g when we are surrounded by friends that we are just gonna go out and say it." I said. 

"How about a word? Like we say a word and then we know that is the signal for let's go hook up." She said and I nodded.

"But we need a word that isn't gonna seem obvious that we are gonna hook up or something  that is easily said," she said.

"What about Chocolate?" I said. 

"Yeah during the conversation if say one of us want s to have sex all we have to say is "I'm gonna go get some chocolate" or something in that category." she said and i nodded.

"So now that we got that down, how about we talk about what I could do with Callie?" she said,

MELISSA'S POV

I really needed an idea. I promised mymom andd Callie that I would have an amazing idea.

"How about a day at the beach? I mean it's July and it would be the perfect time to take her swimming, and I will even go with you. You could actually invite the whole family so you don't have to focus just on here." Adrian said. It was a good idea. "I like that idea, I'll text my mom tomorrow morning and see what she thinks of it. Do you got a bathing suit?" I asked him

I think Adrian coming is definitely gonna help me. He calms me down at most points and helps me think better.

"Yeah, come on. Let's go to bed. It's really late." He said and he took off his shirt and pants and got into the bed.

I took off my dress and laid next to him.

"Night Adrian," I said before falling asleep.

THE NEXT MORNING

"Wake up sunshine." Adrian said as he got out of bed.

"What time is it?" I asked him do the same.

"9. You better get dressed so we can go over to your moms." He said putting on his clothes and grabbing a pair of swim trunks.

I put on the dress that I had worn from the night before and we got into the car and drove to my house.

Once we got in everybody was gathered into the living  room where I told them to be earlier this morning.

"So Adrian and I had a great idea of a way to have fun with Callie. He thought that all of us could go to the beach!"I said and Callie jumped up and down.

"I love the beach!" she said.

"That's a great idea honey." my mom said.

"Everybody's got an hour to get ready," I said and everybody got up and ran upstairs.

"Elizabeth, can I talk to you for a second?" I asked her and she nodded. Adrian took the hint and went upstairs.

"I wanted to know why you hate me so much," I said

"I don't hate you, Melissa. I'm just upset." She said looking at the ground.

"Beth, I would never want to make you upset. What have I done?" I asked her. All this time I thought she hated me. I guess she didn't.

"It's the whole Blake situation. I just hate seeing him. He hurt me, Melissa. I wanted to wait. And you didn't even get mad at him, you didn't kick him out of the group or anything. " She said.

"I'm so sorry Beth. You should have told me, I would have done something. But look, BOTH of you made a mistake. It wasn't just him. You can't blam me for that. I also can't kick him out of the group for that. It isn't fair. And especially since it's been 3 months. I'll try to make sure he isn't around you and all, but you have to at least try to get along with him." I said.

"I'm fine with that. And I'm sorry for the way I treated you. You didn't deserve that. And I ever truly liked Adrian. I just wanted to piss you off." she said before hugging me.

"I love you, Beth, I would never do anything to hurt you," I said hugging her back.

"Now go get ready, we have to be ready in 50 minutes," I said and she nodded.

I'm so happy she told me.
