.....
Cassandra woke up from the large quake and loud explosion that Ivery caused. She got out of bed in a hurry and rushed to the doors to see what had happened.
She opened the door and she couldn't believe the ghastly sight in front of her.
"What happened?!" Cassandra saw that Ivery and Luther were standing next to Julian who laid unconscious on the floor
Cassandra rushed over to Julian's aid and she quickly checked his physical condition.
"Eos, a fallen god, came for him." Ivery said
"The same fallen god that wants to kill you?" Cassandra worriedly asked Ivery
"Yes." Ivery nodded
"Why isn't he waking up?!" Cassandra asked as she touched Julians face
"Oh right." Ivery snapped her fingers
Julian's eyes opened and he looked up at Cassandra. Cassandra smiled with relief after seeing that he was fine.
He slowly sat up and looked around and saw the ruins of the hallway.
"What did you do?" Julian asked Ivery
"We chased her away but she'll be back." Luther answered for Ivery
"Who exactly will she be back for?" Cassandra asked
"I don't know..." Luther couldn't answer her question
Ivery sighed and knew what she had to do now...
Ivery pulled Luther to the side.
"Luther, it's time we end that venture to Ridgefall and come back to settle things..." Ivery told Luther
The importance of Julian and Cassandra's survival outweighed the temporary occupation of being adventurers and going to Ridgefall.
"If Eos and Xia came after my father in order to get to me, then they most likely were trying to kill your father as well, so we'll have to come back to ensure that they're no longer Eos's targets." Ivery said
"You're right, the safety of the Emperor's of both of our countries are the top priority." Luther fully agreed with Ivery's decision, that journey to Ridgefall was only because Ivery wanted to help Danya become stronger and staying in that old town wasn't benefiting them anymore
"But before we officially come back, I have to make sure Danya and Yannel get to Ridgefall." Ivery was still determined to get them both to Ridgefall, if she didn't then it would've been a waste of time and effort bringing them along in the first place and she couldn't just leave them both in the fairy realm
"How? When we still didn't get anywhere remotely close to Ridgefall and being taken to the fairy realm most definitely made the journey to Ridgefall even more difficult." Luther wondered how she was planning on getting those two to Ridgefall in such a short amount of time
"The fairies can open portals to the mortal realm anywhere right?" Ivery asked
"I'm sure they can why?" Luther asked
"What if being taken to the fairy realm actually made getting to Ridgefall easier." The map to Ridgefall materialized in Ivery's hands and she pointed to Ridgefall's location
Luther smirked and thought that it was a very high chance Ivery's assumption was right.
"Let's not waste any time then." Luther pulled Ivery close to him by her waist
"Wait." Ivery blushed
"Hm?" Luther raised an eyebrow
She waved her hand and the debris from the explosion gathered together and began sealing up the giant hole in the hallway. The cracks that spread across the floor and walls sealed up and the glass from the shattered windows came back together and the windows looked as if they were just freshly polished. The hallway was now in perfect condition, it was cleaner than it was before the explosion.
"I couldn't leave it like that." Ivery told Luther as she admired her handy work
"We'll be back." Ivery turned her head to tell Julian and Cassandra
Luther and Ivery soon disappeared into a cloud of black mist.
"...." Julian and Cassandra didn't know what to say and they both just sighed
...
Ivery and Luther appeared back at the pond they were at when they were pulled into the fairy realm.
Ivery reached down and just as she expected a glowing hand grabbed her arm and pulled her into the pond. Luther casually walked into the pond and the hands grabbed him and pulled him down into the water.
....
When Ivery and Luther opened their eyes they were successfully back in the fairy realm. They both entered the golden forest again and soon found a group of fairies nearby.
"Um, excuse me." Ivery waved to the fairies
They all attentively looked at her with what seemed like sparkles in their eyes.
"Is it possible for you to open a portal to this area?" Ivery showed the fairies the map and pointed to where Ridgefall was located
"Yes! Opening portals are our specialty!" The hand-sized fairies nodded and took the map from her and flew deeper into the forest
"Perfect." Ivery smiled
"Nice thinking." Luther rubbed Ivery's head
Ivery blushed and took Luther's hand off of her head. She held his large hand and pulled him as she followed right behind the fairies.
The fairies stopped in front of a medium-sized silver tree with golden leaves. They placed the map on the ground and circled around it. Their fairy dust fell down from their sparkling wings and onto the map.
The map glowed and then suddenly turned into a golden swirling portal.
"This should take you to the map's target destination." One of the male fairies told Ivery
"Good, thank you." Ivery smiled
"Do not thank us chosen one, it is an honor to be able to do this for you!" The male fairy said with a wide smile
"No, I must thank you, it's only proper that way." Ivery told the little fairy, she wouldn't feel right not thanking them after doing a favor for her
"Then, you're welcome!" The fairies smiled at her and waved her goodbye before they all gracefully flew off
....
"Now...to find where they are..." Ivery closed her eyes
She lifted her hands up and her palms glowed with a golden light. She then sensed their magic prowess cores and snapped both of her fingers.
Two swirling clouds of golden mist appeared in front of Ivery and as the mist faded away into the air, Danya and Yannel stood in front of her completely confused.
"What...just happened...?" Yannel asked, wondering how he got where he was
"I summoned you both." Ivery told Yannel with a smile
"Summoned us?" Danya didn't know that humans could be summoned
"Yes, now jump into that portal over there." Ivery nonchalantly said as she pointed at the portal a few feet away from them
"J-Jump into it?" Yannel looked at the random portal with confusion and worry
"Yes, go on." Ivery nodded
"How are you going to tell us to jump into a random portal without telling us where it goes???" Yannel completely trusted Ivery but he still wanted to know where this portal led to
"Ridgefall." Ivery answered Yannel
"R-R-Ridge-what?!" Yannel exclaimed with disbelief
"Enough of this." Luther walked over to Yannel and pushed him
Yannel was suddenly sent flying back into the portal.
Ivery looked at Luther and sighed, he then looked back at her and shrugged.
"Are you going to go in? If you don't want to go in, then you can just stay here for the rest of your life for all we care." Luther coldly looked at Danya
"I-I'm going!" Danya lightly shivered under his chilly gaze
Danya slowly walked to the portal.
She stopped walking and stood 3 feet away from the portal and took a deep breath, mentally preparing herself.
Ivery and Luther waited several minutes for Danya to enter the portal.
Ivery was growing irritated. She walked over to Danya and grabbed her arm.
"Wha-" Danya was taken by surprise
Ivery quickly threw Danya into the portal.
"About time." Luther scoffed
"Let's check it out before we go back." Ivery said as she walked into the portal
Luther shrugged again and casually walked into the portal as well.
....
A mild breeze blew Ivery's hair back, when she looked in front of her she saw an endless line of people in front of a giant silver gate. And beyond the silver gate, she clearly saw the enormous adventurer utopia. On both sides of this massive structure, was two sparkling, clear, big waterfalls.
They all stood on the gray polished bricked pavement walkway outside of the gate.
A large diamond R was on top of the giant silver gate, letting them know that this R stood for Ridgefall.
"Woah!" Yannel's eyes lit up at the sight of everything around him
"Ridgefall..." Danya couldn't believe she was really standing in front of the Ridgefall gate
"Well, this is where we part ways." Ivery said to them
"What?" Yannel and Danya turned around
"We have important business to handle elsewhere, so we, unfortunately, can't go with you two into Ridgefall anymore." Ivery said
"Will you come back?" Yannel asked with a frown
"Of course we'll be back, we're going to aim to become S-rank adventurer's when we do return, and I hope by that time you'll be an S-rank adventurer yourself." Ivery placed her hand on Yannel's shoulder
"I promise I won't disappoint you!" Yannel tearfully smiled and hugged Ivery tightly
Ivery smiled and rubbed his back.
Luther narrowed his eyes and disliked what was happening in front of him.
"That's enough." Luther pulled Ivery away from Yannel
"Sorry!" Yannel bowed to Luther, fully realizing that he just hugged crown prince Luther's fiance in front of him
Yannel knew that if Ivery didn't care for him, he would've lost his life right when he reached out for her.
"And you." Ivery looked at Danya
Danya looked down at the ground, not daring to look Ivery in the eyes.
Ivery reached out and lifted Danya's head up by her chin.
"Do well." Ivery gently smiled
"...." Danya smiled back and tears rolled down her face
"T-Thank you...I will....I promise I will!" Danya cried
"Good. Don't have my efforts go to waste." Ivery plucked Danya's forehead
Danya flinched and touched her forehead.
Ivery stepped back.
Luther pulled Ivery close to him.
Danya waved goodbye to Ivery. Yannel wiped his tears away and managed to wave farewell.
Ivery and Luther then disappeared into a black mist cloud.
"Hopefully we'll meet again, Ivery..." Danya smiled and looked up at the light blue sky
