The Alchemists

During the first three months after Aleksis gave birth, they never had sex because Alaric wanted to give his wife as much time as possible to recover and feel comfortable with her body.

Aleksis was able to quickly regain her body after the puerperium period, and the traces of pregnancy, such as the stretch marks on her skin and her excess body weight, quickly disappeared, but apparently, she needed more time to restore her self-confidence.

Aleksis felt uncomfortable because Alaric saw her giving birth to two babies from her vagina, and it caused her to see her own body differently.
