The Church

Dante instinctively unleashes some of his demonic blue flames known as devil flames and stands over Mirajane's shivering and convulsing body to protect her from the suspicious priestess.

"You don't want to fight me. Trust me, boy. Because I will whoop that ass." The priestess clenches her fist and shows off her overly toned muscles. She had pretty well-built muscles for a priestess!

Dante silver eyes widened at such a strange sight. Right now he was beyond hungry to even care about this crazy woman. All he was thinking about was getting his family to safety.

"Let me heal all four of your wounds," The young priestess walks closer to Dante with her hands extended out in a kind and caring manner.

"Stand back!" Dante lifts his hands and shots out a blue demonic fireball up into the cave to show his magic powers. He wanted the priestess to know that he wasn't trusting her so easily.

"Your a little firey bastard aren't you? I won't harm you. Just trust me. Plus I got this," The priestess takes a golden vial from under her long white tunic and shakes the vial around.

"What's that?!" Dante takes a defensive knight position with one leg back and the other in the front in a charging stance.

"This is a Phoenix Rising potion. It should heal all of your wounds and it will seal away your sisters spreading demon curse. By the way, the name is Selah, I come in peace." She has a bright smile painted over her face. She had long bright snow-white hair kind of like Dante's and Mirajane's if one didn't know any better she could pass as Dante's and Mirajane's mother.

"I don't trust you. Hand me over the vial so I can use it on my sister." Demanded Dante as reached out his hands.

"You really are a sly one huh." Selah slaps away Dante's hands, "Just trust me." She goes over Mirajane and picks her up.

"Hey what are you doing!?" Dante yells out.

"I can't give her the potion unless I take her back to my church to see the source of the demon curse," Selah informs Dante as lifts Mira onto her shoulders and walks outside the cave.

"How do you know she even has a demon curse!?" Dante asked in a pissed off manner, he was being too overprotective of his older sister.

"Because you have it too. And if you are not strong enough then the cursed demon blood inside your body will consume you. From the looks of it, you don't look like a pureblood Dragon Slayer so you must have an ancient demon bloodline. The blue fireball magic you just used right now must be Take Over magic? Am I right?" Selah grins, it was like she had known Dante her whole life.

"H-how do you know this?" Dante's silver eyes start shaking with shock and confusion.

"Let's just say I have a good eye when I see someone who can become a great mage." She winked at him. "Would you like to have a pork belly roast and some buttered bread? You look like you are about to die any second. Hahaha!" Her laughs were ghastly for a woman of her young age.

"Tch. Whatever." Dante follows Selah through the heavy rainstorm and thick forest trees ahead.

"Holy Barrier!" Selah lifts up her white staff made up of ancient oak trees and dragon bones.

A large golden barrier made entirely of mana surrounded Elfman, Dante, Mirajane, and Lisanna.

"Woah!" Shouts Lisanna with sparkling eyes. She was amazed at Selah's magic powers.

"There is way more magic I can teach you, youngsters. Even though I think you have the perfect teacher." She looks over to the unconscious Mira on her slender shoulders.

"Yeah, we do. Now let's go save her life!" Dante insisted as they all ran towards Selah's church which was about a mile away. It was covered by thick forest trees. That's why Dante wasn't able to spot it. The church was a grand sight. Its bricks were all colored in white and gold paint. On top of the church was a magical golden symbol of a Hryda Beast.

The four Strauss children had finally found a new home.
