6:00 AM
Kier sets his alarm clock in his phone to wake up earlier than his usual time because his laundry has been piling up. His pad is just 15 minutes away from the hotel, so he has no worries about rushing for work every day.
He reached for his eyeglasses and walked towards his bathroom. It also serves as a toilet room and a laundry area.
The moment he opened the door, an unpleasant view greeted him. A scream to be heard in every corner of his studio-type bachelor's pad.
He marched upstairs to his open space bedroom just above his library and his study area. The living room in this pad is also used as a dining area connected into a small kitchen space.
"Wake up!" he screamed.
"What!? Still early morning," replied the person under his warm blanket.
Kier crossed his arms and stood at the foot of the bed. Not too long had passed, and the person underneath the blanket took a peep.
"Woah! You are here!?"
"Of course I am here! This is my house!" he shouted.
The person who was now fully awake stayed silent.
Kier pointed out the bathroom. The person realized the crime and quickly flew the stairs and entered the bathroom. Immediately, the clothes that scattered in the sink were gathered and hid inside the cabinet under the washbasin.
Now Kier is standing outside the bathroom door and pointing to the bed. "Tidy up quickly!"
"O-okay!"
Kier shook his head. He was known as the clean freak of the group. Having six siblings and the second eldest, he developed a habit of cleaning everything. His parents have always been busy, and his older brother is preparing for college taking up Law, which often leaves him at home with his five siblings.
To settle his younger brothers and sister, he came up with giving each one a chore. He was like a devil in white clothing, afraid of being dirty since then.
Now he is 29 years old and has become the Senior Legal Affairs Team of Crow Corporation. He decided to live alone, closer to his work.
Unfortunately, he met his cursed last week. Now a woman is hiding inside his house. Worse, her undergarments are just lying around.
"Don't get it wrong."
"What?"
"I was planning to do the laundry this morning when I will wake up. I did not expect for you to come home last night," the woman explained.
He can't buy it. "So what? Who are you for me to announce if I will come home last night or tonight or whenever?" he sarcastically asked her.
He continued when the woman did not answer. "This is my home. If you can't follow the simple rules I have, then you are free to leave!" Kier pointed to the door.
To his surprise, the woman bites his finger. "Ahh!! You! What are you!?"
***
Damn it! What ungracious woman! Kier murmurs inside his head. He keeps staring at his finger where it was bitten.
He right away hid his hand when the elevator opened.
"Good morning, Director Lawrence."
The three employees from Accounting bows. They quickly get inside and stand behind him.
"Good morning." He answered plainly.
Even so, the two women cannot hide their giggling at the back. Kier's left brow twitched upward.
Hurry up. He was cheering the lift to climb faster. It took time before the lift arrived on the 72nd floor. He stepped out immediately and walked past the cubicles on that floor.
His secretary has already been waiting for him. "Good morning, Director Lawrence."
"Good morning." He enters his office, and the secretary follows him and does her ritual once he arrives in the office.
She opens the blinds and adjusts the temperature of the office room. She will place the bottled water near him because he is not only a clean freak but also a health-conscious person. He always watches the food he's eating.
When his secretary left his office, he opened a drawer and looked for a band-aid.
After two hours of reviewing some documents and contracts, his secretary entered the office and informed him that the president wanted to see him.
When he arrived in the President's office, Daichi was already inside. He listens to their conversation. After Daichi leaves the office, Shun fixes his gaze on him.
He can't tell what the boss has been thinking, and he won't guess anything either.
"About Senator Lou's incident?" Shun asked him.
He kept silent for a moment before he answered. "I will fix it."
"Do I need to ask you first before you will tell me something I should know?"
This is as a measure of his capability, Kier knew very well. "Not yet. I will handle this quietly."
Shun stares at him with intense gazes. "Alright. I will fully entrust to you the case of Senator Lou."
Shun leans his back on his chair and looks down at Kier's finger. "What happened to you?"
He was startled and realized Shun asking him about his finger wrapped with a band-aid.
"Ah, I just cut my finger." he lied. Shun is not easy to make-believe. He won't buy it.
"I was fixing my breakfast quickly after I did my laundry. I wasn't paying attention when I cut myself."
What a lie. After the woman bites him, she just turns around and walks to the kitchen, never apologizing. But she then said that she would do his laundry and other chores to be not a freeloader during her stay.
He was home late at night just to find the woman who was taking shelter in his house was cozily occupying his bed, ended him up to sleep on the couch.
It was crazy how he met that woman. How unlucky for his part.
