New Morning

Next day, early in the morning Li Wei got up and stared at the ceiling.

"The ceiling is unfamiliar," as Li Wei was saying a cliché line, Li Yang spoke up.

[Good morning, host.]

"Good morning," Li Wei hurriedly said becoming embarrassed that she heard him say such a cliché line, "Yang'er".

[Eh?]

"Oops, sorry was being overfamiliar with you?" Li Wei apologetically said.

[No, no, no. That's not it, actually, I would love for you to call me by my name since you're the one who named me. It was just that it was a little too sudden.]

"Okay," and with that Li Wei had gotten up from his bed.

Li Wei then looked at his body feeling some changes. He was really impressed that his wounds were healing fast. He estimates with this speed that he will fully recover in two weeks which should have taken at least half a year.

"Oh, so you weren't lying," Li Wei said to Yang'er apologetically, "sorry I didn't fully trust you yesterday".

[Don't worry about it, actually, I would rather say that if you didn't doubt me then that will not be normal.]

"True that," said Li Wei laughingly getting comfortable talking to the system or rather Yang'er.

Li Wei then asked the doctor when he will be discharged and how much will he be charged. The doctor seemed shocked as to how fast his wounds were recovering and it took him a whole minute to recover. He said by this speed that he will recover after 2-3 weeks and will be discharged after a year. As for the cost, because of the company, Li Wei works at he only needs to pay a portion of the initial amount. But the price is still too much costing up to 100k dollars. He can only sigh and the good thing is that there will be no interest for a year.

Li Wei told the doctor to leave so he could calm down and relax. He thought that it will take him a long time to gather the amount of cash. Li Wei can only sigh at his bad luck.

A week has gone by and Li Wei got more information from Yang'er.

There seems to be a lot of planets filled with life in the universe but each life planet is typically far away from another life planet. The planet that Yang'er is from successfully developed a prototype space scale teleportation device. She didn't know what happened next and if it was successful or not. Yang'er's planet is a peaceful world that focuses on advancement like Earth but with magic. She doesn't know what the other planets have so this and a few other pieces of information is what I can get from her. In her planet, there were humans and beast-man races in the majority while the elf race in the minority and is more secluded. The spirits' race is a mysterious race which is said to be in another dimension. All in all what Li Wei knows now that magic exists.

"Well, another day has gone by and tomorrow's the day I will get discharged," Li Wei said after recalling how stupefied the doctor looked when he noticed my recovery speed.

[You don't want to be discharged?]

"Well I think so because life is pretty tiring and boring," said Li Wei.

[You don't have to think that way, well you got me so you can change your life for the better. Sometimes people need someone else to give you a push. That was a little embarrassing thinking about it.]

"No, your right I think I should take this incident and meeting you as a turning point for my life," Li Wei said determined, "one goal is to improve my parents and sisters life more and also to make sure my little sister goes into a nice college".

[Well, host, no matter what you do I will always be beside you.]

Li Wei looks around the hospital room, it truly looks like a piece of art as the room is fully white in colour and there is a pure white curtain half closed. The window was open which made the wind come in and blow the curtains away. It truly looks like a piece of art and is so peaceful as he could hear the birds chirping outside. He is a little reluctant to leave this place but he needs to get out there and start a new life.

Li Wei then calls his family to tell them that he was alright and was going to be discharged soon. His family was so happy that he was okay and got better as they couldn't see him hurt like that anymore. He also told them that he will be coming back to live with them again. His parents also encouraged him to come back and relax. His parents have always been kind to him since he was born and took deep care of him and this made him feel so grateful to them and want to repay the kindness and care he received back to them. His little sister, which is in the second year of high school, also wanted him to come back and to be with her again.

The next day, Li Wei officially got discharged from the hospital. It was scorching hot outside making the sun the public enemy #1. He first thought to go to work to hand in the resignation form but seeing how hot it is, he decided to go home as he was near it. Li Wei talked to the system as he was getting bored and a little lonely.

"So, do I have any tasks I can do right now, asked Li Wei curiously as he couldn't hold in the excitement. This is normal once you think about it, anyone who suddenly gets a system, from who knows where, will and would want the try the system out.

[Sorry, host. It will take a little bit of time for the task system to familiarize with the world and the universe to give suitable tasks.]

"Oh," said Li Wei a little depressed, "well the good news is that the system will give me tasks which I can do and not impossible ones like finding something that doesn't exist in this planet".

[Host, rest assured as the task system has conciseness like an AI, but is a lot wiser. When it familiarizes with the setting the task system will have the same common sense of your society.]

"Well that is reassuring," Li Wei said. He thought that with the same common sense, he wouldn't have to worry about getting some weird tasks which he can't do.

After resting for a bit at his house, Li Wei got up from his bed and started heading towards his workplace as the sun has gotten a little friendlier. He gave his resignation form to his manager and explained that he will be relaxing for a bit. The manager seemed to know his circumstances so approved Li Wei's resignation faster than expected.

Now that task was done, Li Wei has gotten himself some free time so he started to pack up his stuff to move back to the village. He couldn't wait to go back to his family and he really wanted to go right away but he still has some things to take care of. Tomorrow he has to quit college officially and to get his deposits back. Well, it doesn't have a big impact on him as he was almost done college and learnt everything from there. It's a little pity that he couldn't graduate and get the certificate but Li Wei decided to start a fresh new life and live it with his family.

Tomorrow morning, Li Wei quickly got up and got changed as he knew that when it is sunrise, the sun is not that deadly as compared to midday. He arrived in front of the college in about 15-20 minutes and when he was about to walk in, a beauty has stopped.

"I heard what has happened just now so I couldn't visit you but tell that you are fine," said the beauty walking over to him anxiously searching his body for any hidden injuries that might have not been healed, "you know how worried I was when I heard that you have gotten a serious injury"?

"I am sorry to have made you worried but I'm fine," said Li Wei, "and I fully recovered with no injuries left behind".

"Fine, I trust you," the beauty could only sigh in relief after she heard him say that.

This beauty's name is Liu Min and is the campus beauty of this school. As to why Li Wei got to know her and become close friends on top of that was that a series of coincidences happened as she hated him for peeking at her while changing. Then later got to know that it wasn't actually him that peeked but has been at the wrong place at the wrong time. She had wanted to apologize to him but she had got caught by a delinquent gang. Li Wei was passing by but saw what happened and rescued her from the clutches of those beasts. Her impression of Li Wei afterwards deepened even though he was not handsome, it didn't matter to her.

"Get away from my woman," suddenly a voice rang out in front of Li Wei and Liu Min. Both of them suddenly got surrounded by a group of delinquents and lackeys.
