"Good, that's good. I didn't want to meet him as well," Jia Li told herself.

By the time she reached home, she was in a snit. She didn't want to analyse the reason for it too closely, maybe she was too tired.

"Oh you are here, dear. What a hard working girl you are, keeping such long hours! But you should give equal importance to your personal life also. It is a shame that a handsome man has to wait for so long for his girl to come home," June, her 56 years old neighbour chided her when she climbed up the stairs towards her studio apartment.

Jia Li looked at her with a blank expression on her face.

"Oh, don't say that please. Had she come home on time, I would have missed out on the pleasure of your company and your wonderful tea," Tang's mischievous voice rang from behind June.

"Oh balderdash!! You are welcome here anytime you wish. I promise to bake you some walnut cookies next time," she said, part flirting, part blushing.
