Stop struggling

She jumped from the branch and landed toward Long Cheng shoulder the moment his back hit the trunk of the tree she was sitting at earlier.

"Stop struggling!" Lu Meili exclaimed in annoyance. She then tightened her legs around his neck, almost choking, causing him to feel a slight discomfort. It did not take long for him to struggle in the grip of her legs. 'Wouldn't that be awesome? if she could just choke him to sleep.'

"Meili! What the hell are you doing? Get off me and stay away! The lightings will hit you as well!" Long Cheng could feel her weight on his shoulders and the tightness around his neck, but could not see anything. It confirmed that Lu Meili was using stealth magic, and now she was sitting on his shoulders, almost choking him.

Long Cheng was so glad that, she was so close to him, but it was the wrong time. The flashes of lightning were acting crazy, and it was already confirmed that they were aimed at him.

He tried to lift her off, from his shoulder, but Lu Meili held his head in a tight grip. "Stop struggling. Do you want to die?!" She yelled in anger.

'Do I want to die?' That statement from her was insulting. He did not know if he should be mad or hurt since it was Lu Meili who ran away from him and decided to break the seal by entering the Thunder Forest.

He could not even say if it was an accident or purely intentional. Long Cheng also could not ask her if it was her who killed the dragon shifter.

"Won't that make you happy?" Long Cheng could not help but ask sarcastically instead. "You are still hiding from me now." He accused, talking about the stealth spell that she still had on. If his shoulders were not heavy, he wouldn't have known she was there. He could not even smell her, as her scent was also hidden.

'Is she wounded just like what the other shifter had said?' He asked himself, but no way to confirm. How sad would it be to want something so wrong, but could not also have the simple things?

"Happy? Aren't you the one who wanted your soldiers to capture me?" Lu Meili replied in defence. Her tone just like Long Cheng, accusing and full of blame. To emphasize her point, Lu Meili squeezed his head with both hands. She wanted to pull his long hair, but she liked them so, was unable to do so.

"Stop that! Don't waste your energy" He replied, reaching up to touch the hands that were holding his head tightly. "Are you alright? Why did you even want to go to the Thunder Forest of all places?" He decided to ask instead. Long Cheng was in a dangerous position earlier, but when she arrived, he immediately noticed the thunders were not reaching him anymore. 'She probably has protection magic. That is why she had the guts to come here. Still, she should have chosen to run somewhere else.' He fumed inside.

Instead of answering, her focus was still on the bolts of thunder surrounding them. Just looking at the situation they were in, Lu Meili made a mistake for doing the thunder affinity spell. She had underestimated how the Thunder Forest would react to it.

Even though they were not being attacked directly, the electric discharge was making her uncomfortable. There was also no sign that the dangerous situation will stop soon, which only proved that it was an obvious mistake of calculation on her part.

'What is happening to me?' She was not used to making any mistakes, but now, Lu Meili was consistently doing it.

He grabbed the invisible thighs on his shoulder firmly with both hands to make sure that Lu Meili would not just vanish.

Then Long Cheng replied, "You know why I wanted to have you captured? As my mate, you are not supposed to run away! Now we have ended up in this situation!" He said through clenched teeth.

Lu Meili understood his intention to keep her in place. 'As if I could leave with these thunders around. I don't even have my scarlet pendant yet.' Without it, the stealth magic that she had, would be running out soon, and with the situation, there was no way Lu Meili could leave.

It was her last stealth talisman. The remaining amulet that she had, was for transportation.

"Sacred dragons! What happened to you?"
