Ivypool fell into deep slumber, paws itching to have battle training again, she slept early these days, even went on more patrols in the morning so that she could sleep early, the usual darkness engulfed her. To other people, this place is gloomy and gives anyone chills, but for Ivypool, it seems like home. Its the only place where people won't compare her, where people treat her as equals.
Ivypool searched for her mentor, although she had received her warrior name, Hawkfrost still thinks that she is not ready.
"Early again?" A voice behind her sounded, Ivypool whipped around, but it's too late, Hawkfrost had her pinned to the ground with his forepaw. He growled,
"Next time, be alert of your surroundings, I still don't get why you have your warrior name."
Ivypool flung him off and went into a defensive stance, swishing her tail, she will not lose this time!Baring her teeth, she pounced on Hawkfrost and fought...
"You fought well" Hawkfrost admitted grudgingly after a tiring session, "Off you go!"
Ivypool bounded off, not noticing Hawkfrost's wistful look...
___________(time skip to The Final Battle or whatever it's called)
Hawkfrost pinned Ivypool to the ground, claws gleaming with blood, he raised his paw, preparing for the final strike. Ivypool closed her eyes in fear.
The strike never came.
Hawkfrost's brain is telling him to slaughter her, but his heart says otherwise. He growled and stepped down, hating the feeling in his gut. Ivypool shakily stood up, and stared at Hawkfrost with wide eyes.
"I hate this." Hawkfrost snarled, lashing his tail. Ivypool didn't know what to do, she wanted to flee but her paws are stuck on the ground, her paws seemed to be taking charge instead, dragging her to face Hawkfrost, who looked a bit shocked, but masked it easily. Ivypool gathered up her courage and whispered softly,
"When you see me, what do you feel? I want to know if you feel the same way as me."
"..."
Ivypool sighed and walked away, she should've known better, that tom will never love someone, especially her, his apprentice. She felt like a mouse-brain for confessing, she hated her mouth but she felt that she need to say something, before chances run out.
"Everything."Hawkfrost's voice sounded behind her. Ivypool stood frozen.
"Every what?"
"Emotion." He trailed off and clawed the ground, furious. Ivypool understood, he is a powerful cat, he shouldn't admit defeat, just this simple confession felt worse than losing a battle. She rested her tail on his flank, pressing against him trying to be comforting, but it made Ivypool's pelt heat up in embarrassment, she tried scooting away, but Hawkfrost's tail held her close, Ivypool opened her jaws, but nothing came out. The fuzzy feeling in her stomach drowned Ivypool. Hawkfrost smirked and drew her in closer.
" You're very handsome," is all Ivypool can muster. Hawkfrost smirked again and meowed,
"Then I've supposed you've found me handsome for a long time."(help me with the tensesssss)
Hawkfrost rested his head on Ivypool's , brushing their flanks, twining their tails. Taking in their texture of their pelts and their scent, they brushed muzzle, knowing that this may be their last night together.
Ivypool heard a yowl from her sister and raced off, leaving Hawkfrost (smiling)ruefully, not noticing a dark tom stalking him...
"No!" Ivypool's anguished wail can be heard anywhere, Hawkfrost laid in a pool of blood. He whispered,"I don't regret it at all." Before he collapsed. Ivypool stared down , disbelief clearly shown in her eyes, she looked at those icy blue eyes that seemed to be drowning and sinking her, she curled up beside him, determined to be with him until the warmth of his pelt has left.
Um.. you can make up the rest!
