Cultivating

Shen Wushuang positioned himself on the bed and closed his eyes. When he opened his eyes again he was now in the Shi Realm.

When he entered the Shi Realm, a gust of the world's essences flowed past him. In this world, he had control over everything. So if he wished to create a giant castle in front of him it would appear. But the limitations were that he couldn't bring anything from the realm to the outside world but anything he brought from the outside world into the realm he could bring back outside. The world could be used as a storage area to hide all his items.

Using his power to control the land, he practiced martial arts and swordsmanship. During the night he would enter the Shi Realm and practice until the next morning. Even his control over the essence reached another level even though he was never able to cultivate it. He created cultivation inside of him and practiced each layer of the Inner Essense Realm and even though he never truly cultivated in the real world his experience is on par with his parent's generation of the peak layers of the Inner Essense Stage.

The first step of cultivation, the Houtain Realm, is about cultivating the essence energy in the body and using it to temper each part of the human body from head to toe. After the Houtain Realm was the mysterious Xiantian Realm that no one in the Shen Clan has even gotten close too. The Xiantian realm is about cultivating the external World Qi that is everywhere but a person who hasn't reached the Xiantian realm cannot feel it.

In the library where different floors, the first floor contained information about the Houtain Realm, the 2nd floor contained information about the Xiantian Realm, and the floors above he has no idea. There is some sort of forcefield that says that he can only enter the 2nd floor once he reaches the Xiantian realm, so he only has superficial knowledge about the next step of cultivation.

The Houtain Realm has 5 stages: Inner Essense Stage, Blood Condensation Stage, Tendon Transformation Stage, Bone Forging Stage, and Meridian Opening Stage. Each stage has 10 layers and each stage has its own complexities.

Shen Wushuang looked through the Myriad Ten Divine Arts and then sat down on the floor in a meditation position, he then started awakening the essence of all 10 elements within his body. He created a pocket of all the 10 elements around him so that he could comprehend the mysteries of the essences much easier.

Without a second thought, the essence within his body seemed to awaken from its dormant state and like a dragon waking up to sore through the skies, his cultivation started rising quickly.

1st layer…2nd layer… 3rd layer… 4th layer…

One by one he completed each of the layer of the Inner Essense stage in quick succession until it finally ended when he reached the 7th Layer of the Inner Essense Stage. If anyone else saw that they wouldn't believe their eyes, it has only been 1 day since he recovered from his bloodline awakening and he went from a mortal to an inner essence cultivator of the 7th layer.

Satisfied with his progress, he left the Shi Realm and decided he would practice the spells and martial arts that he has learned through these many years. Although he technically practiced these martial arts and spells using them in the real world is a much different experience than his miniature realm inside his body.

When he got up and saw his parents in the dining room set up for breakfast they looked at him as if they couldn't believe he wasn't sick anymore. When everyone sat down Shen Guo's face became serious "Shuang'er, now that you aren't sick you have to start cultivation as if your life depends on it…" Shen Guo kept talking about the cultivation limit that if one didn't reach the 3rd Layer of the Inner Essense Stage by the age of 14 then they wouldn't have the chance to go past the Inner Essense Stage within their lifetime.

His parents are both at the 8th stage of the Inner Essence stage and they are both born at the end of the previous generation so their talent is valued in the clan. But if they knew that in one night their son reached the cultivation level right below their they would wonder if all their years of cultivation were worth it.

Shen Wushuang nodded his head and ran out of the house and into the forest. Their house rests on a hill next to the lower area of the Shen Clan and next to a giant forest. The giant forest had little to no animals or beasts due to the Shen Clan hunting them the extinction and so the forest is used as a playground and training ground or the children of the Shen Clan.

Essence Energy is something that usually cannot be used outside the body, but with spells and martial arts, it can stimulate the essence of energy outside the body. A spell is used by casting through either hand signs or words and martial arts are used by performing certain movements with the body. The spells he cultivated in the Shi Realm were the Black Flame Star and the Streaming Wood Spell. The martial art he cultivated was the Four Phased Martial Arts.

The Black Flame Star was a destructive spell that could cause massive damage to groups of people through the explosion and firey after effect, the Streaming Wood Spell was a self-healing spell that healed all wounds and recovered the person's essence energy, and the Four Phased Martial Arts was a mysterious martial art that employed the elements of fire, water, earth, and wind through a combination of punches, palms, and kicks. Even though Four Phased Martial Arts were widespread and most influential clans and sects have access to it, no one was able to successfully use it since no one cultivated all 4 elements… other than Shen Wushuang.

All 3 battle techniques were the best the Shen Clan had and so he was limited in his options.

Shen Wushuang wasn't planning on burning down the forest and so he found a small pond and started casting the spell for the Black Flame Star. If other cultivators saw how he cast the spell they would claim him to be the devil. That is because he didn't use any conventional casting methods and simply used his Shi Eye to create the spell in his hands. When the spell was completed he threw it into the water and a giant wave of water covered a chunk of the forest. He then started the Streaming Wood Spell and nourished his Essense Energy back to his peak condition.

He then started using the Four-Phase Martial Arts and every time he punched, different essence energy would come out of his fist. His feet were covered with Wind Essense and his palms were covered with the other 3 essences. He could technically use this martial art for as long as he wants since he can use the Shi Eye to cast the Streaming Wood Spell and nourish his Essense Energy continuously, but eventually his vitality would run out so the Streaming Wood Spell would only allow him to prolong his ability to fight.

The final thing he wanted to test was the Ji Eyes which is connected to the Ji Realm. The Shi Realm and Shi Eyes are very familiar to Shen Wushuang since he has spent 7 years exploring it. But the Ji Realm was inhospitable due to the continual strikes of Chaos Lightning on the land, making it impossible for him to search its secrets.

His left eye started glowing red, he looked towards a tree and once the red light stopped growing he activated his eye. A streak of red lightning flashed through the air and when it reached the tree it caused it to disintegrate. Shen Wusuang stumbled backward as he felt an immense pain spawn from his eye and streaks of thick blood appeared, once the pain was suppressed he decided that unless he was in a dire situation he wouldn't use the eye due to its immense backlash. He predicted that once he enters the Xiantian Realm he would have full control over the chaos lightning.

Shen Wushuang saw that it was almost the evening and so he rushed back home satisfied with his training. If others knew he was just satisfied with his training they would puke more than just blood. In just one day he achieved perfection for 3 battle techniques, the levels of understanding for battle techniques are Beginner, Middle, Completion, and Perfection. Perfection is achieved when one understands the essence of the battle technique. Many people spend their entire lives trying to understand the essence of their battle technique but this kid is simply satisfied spending one day… there were only 2 words to describe this situation, truly terrifying.
