Prologue: Countdown to the End (5:00)

The Cloud Garden was now fully destroyed. Xuan Yi had pushed off all the chairs to make space for the expanded, altered formation.

Though now it looked more like a pond. A pond of pure Qi. Xuan Yi stood near the edges of it. His expression still one of cold indifference. Even as the tower below shivered as it was stormed.

He made no movement instead he simply waited completely still. His gaze transfixed to the pool of Qi. The wind blew against him restlessly. The white robes embroidered with clouds flickered and swayed fiercely, and so did his black hair.

However, Xuan Yi ignored it. His eyes simply fixed to the light aquamarine pool. The flickering lights that resembled the stars of the night sky were reflected in his eye. The soft shimmered it did, clued one into the fact it was alive. And the gentle peace and familiarity one felt as they saw it. Clued them into the fact this was a part of them.

Xuan Yi, of course, was not transfixed by its beauty. He was merely waiting for-

A horrible, grinding sound rang out through the world. And a scream that resounded in one's bones, broke out. Every living being born of that world could feel their being tremble.

With simple ones dying outright. While complex ones like Xuan Yi shivered, trembling along with their world.

The grinding increased, and the shadow became more and more visible. Pieces of the world began to break off from the pressure. The world's gravity distorting as these pieces began to float away. As creatures once bound to the planet started to fall off it.

Xuan Yi ignored all this. A flicker of power broke out from him and the broken remnant of the Cloud Garden remained in place. The nail of his thumb grew sharp and he slashed his wrist.

Fresh red blood began to leak into the pool. The two did not mix but Xuan Yi began to move. And soon the pool turned chaotic. His hands a blur and his chanting slow. Xuan Yi ignored the breaking of his world.

Soon, the blood had absorbed the Qi. The blood began to glow and turn a brighter, lighter red. Star like twinkles flickering throughout it.

A cracking sound rang out through the world. Visible cracks began to show in the sky as the air trembled. The grinding increasingly loud. And the shadow grew so big it darkened the sky.

Xuan Yi stepped in the pool and it began to stir. Slowly at first, then faster and faster.

"****."

"Too slow."
