Nina was in love with Ron. He asked her out and she agreed. After spending a few nights with her he dumped her saying that all along time with her was a bet and that no man in his right senses would be with her.

When Ron is about to marry his pretty girlfriend Tanya, Nina shows up claiming that he can't marry her since Ron promised marriage to Nina.

Ron when trying to get out of her grip pushed Nina causing her to lose her child.

Now with Nina out of the picture, at the altar when exchanging rings bullets are sprayed from all directions. Tanya takes the bullet and dies on the spot.

Ron chased by the Mob lands up with Angela who looks like Nina but her personality and character is 180 degree different from Nina.

Ron sneered while explaining what happened. He was into betting and his latest job was to win a female employee heart and dump her after sleeping with her. The target was Nina. She was selected for 2 reasons. Reason 1: She once got a fellow employee who was trying to molest her fired. They wanted her to know her place. Reason 2: She wasn't a looker. Should she lay a claim that she was sexually abused by Ron no one would believe her and she would appear like a desperate woman trying to bag herself a man.


After hearing this Nina stood up and slapped Ron right in front of everyone. Ron was about to say something but stopped when he saw Nina's tears. She got up and left.


When she reached home she cried and cried till her eyes were sore. No matter how much she was in love with Ron it was just a little wager and nothing more to him.


Nina was a quiet girl. Never interacted with anyone who wasn't going to be working with her. She avoided pretentious people. She knew she wasn't that pretty to begin with so never harboured the thought of getting married let alone having a lover. When Ron started paying her attention, she was initially vary about his intentions. However, he pursued her continuously. So she began trusting him. She felt that maybe life wasn't that bad. She fell in love with Ron and this is how he treated her. She was a fool. No wonder no one likes her.


Her tears stopped only when she fell asleep. Even in her sleep, she was whimpering. The guy she trusted, the guy she loved was now a painful existence. She wished that she had no heart so any pain any lingering feelings couldn't hurt her.


The next day she was back at work. Expressionlessly, she got to work and when it was time to leave, she went home without greeting anyone. Ron and his friends were very happy teaching Nina a lesson for getting their friend fired.


Throughout the day she avoided even looking at Ron. He was like a thorn that was stuck and won't come out.


A week after the incident Ron was dating the prettiest girl in the office Tanya Bai. Whenever Nina laid eyes on them she felt her bile rising. Each time she was vomiting at the sight of those two.


Nina now set her mind to never repeat her mistakes and to move forward. Maybe she won't find love after this but she was determined not to let this bring her down. She went to work as normal. Spoke only when spoken to. She consciously avoided Ron and never looked at him in the eyes.


To make things worse, Tanya moved to same building as Nina. So on weekends Ron would ensure to bump into her before going on a date with Tanya. To make things worse, even Tanya started badmouthing Nina whenever she got a chance. Once during an office party, Tanya grabbed a mike to sing a song for Ron and after that said "Ron I love you. You are the best thing that ever happened to me. I wish I could protect you from all the evil eyes. There are some people who eye you all day long wishing you broke up with me. All I want to say is 'Will you marry me?'"


While saying this Tanya was looking at Nina's face for a reaction. But the minute the speech ended Nina could no longer hold it in and ran to the bathroom to vomit. Lately it's getting to be a habit.


Nina took out her phone and made an appointment with the doctor. Next day she reached the hospital well ahead of time. She ensured that the appointment was the very first one to avoid bumping into anyone she knew. By evening the reports were in her hands. 4 weeks of pregnancy and she was down with morning sickness.


Nina couldn't wrap her head around her pregnancy. At one moment she felt like she would keep her baby. The next she wanted that lump of child out of her system. How could she love the child of the person who just used and threw her like an old registry? What started as a bet was now growing in her womb. It appears that the result of the bet now grew in her.
