Chapter 76: Accept Me As Your Student?

Bang! Bang!

Two more gunshots ripped the sky as the two earrings of Heath blew off without resistance.

He's a professional killer! Heath cursed with fright as sirens blared in his eardrums. So what if he's an Aura Master? An armed marksmen with excellent marksmanship could penetrate their Aura in no time. Talk about the boy's gun though. It's clearly a limited edition of high penetration bullets. No way that an ordinary rich person could obtain such destructive weapon through the common weaponry sources.

Maybe Reb was right. He is not someone I can provoke.

While Heath is in such a crisis, the orange haired hooligan and the hooligan who contacted Heath were already shivering in fear.

The ambience shattered after sirens of police cars enclosed the area almost simultaneously, barricading the entrance and exits of the night market.

The switching blue and red colors tangled with the neon lights, dazzling fascinatingly.

"Drop your weapons!"

"Hands up in the air!"

Multiple police officers wielding pistols and handguns exited the vehicle, forming their formation behind obstacles as one of them stepped out in the open.

"Do not resist arrest and place down your weapon!" A comforting yet powerful voice attracted Nova's attention as he laid his vision on the source of the voice.

A breathtakingly beautiful lady in police uniform and formal black high heels entered his sight. Her hair was tied back into a clean ponytail, secured by a classical officer cap. Her slightly tan skin gave out a wild and untamable presence, honing her palpable dominance and magnificent looks.

"Sister! You are here! Save me, these dangerous criminals are going to kill me for no reason at all."

The orange haired hooligan raced towards the center of attraction regardless of the nerve wrecking tension, crying like he's an innocent kid who has never dared to try and injure an innocent middle-aged man.

The breathtaking police woman kicked him away in her high heels, ignoring her brother's cry of mercy. "Shut up Aiden, you've caused enough trouble already! I'm taking away your monthly pocket money. You're the exact reason why our family cannot flourish in the Warrior path!"

With that said, she continued aiming her gun at Nova cautiously, delicate finger on the trigger and not even letting her sight off of even the tiniest fly escaping from him.

"Sister Ava, it's unnecessary to point your gun at them. I can prove their innocence as witness!"

"Leilani? I thought you went home right after training work?" Ava noticed a mildly familiar person involved in the middle of the stalemate.

Leilani is a likable and hardworking trainee who has been visiting their police department for the past few weeks for preparation to work under her after graduation as she is the head of the police department and in dire of new recruits.

But why is she helping a dangerous armed criminal?

Looking at Nova's calm and unfazed expression, Ava felt nervousness creeping up her spine. What kind of background does he have to confidently back himself up from arrest and charges?

Suddenly, Ava realized that the gun in Nova's hand as already vanished, replaced by a tiny booklet.

When did he hide his weapon? How? Where did he put it? Questions popped like mayhems of bubbles in Ava's head, realizing the situation she is in. The boy with the hair of two polars could have finished all of them off without even them realizing.

He's extremely dangerous.

As if answering to her thoughts to eliminate a dangerous target, a gunshot went off abruptly.

It could be due to the immense pressure, because one of the police officers wailed as his grip on the trigger curved in a bit too much.

The pistol bullet raced towards Nova, heading to the direction of his arm. But observing and analyzing the projectile arc of the bullet, Nova realized it wasn't going after him. It was purposefully meant to miss him by an inch before piercing through Reb who is facing Atlas, unaware of the fatal attack waving its death flag.

[Undercover men of a rivalry gang?]

Without hesitation, a wild parazonium appeared in his grasp. With a mighty jerk, he flicked the parazonium towards Atlas, who of course, knew the reason for that action.

Traveling faster than the speed of bullet, it surpassed the normal pistol bullet in no time.

[Unleash Spiritual Projection.] Atlas murmured in his head as his fingers connected Nova's parazonium by the hilt, using its momentum to rotate 360 degrees before hammering the parazonium down, redirecting and smashing the bullet into a pile of scrap metal and planting it into the ground.

[Axonn! Axonn!] The same word exploded entirely in her head as Ava lost her words at both coordinated cooperation and swift maneuver of the parazonium. Only Axonns could achieve such a feat!

As a warrior herself, she is already blessed enough to become a Tier 6 Expert Aura Master by the age of 27 years old as the descendant of a faded Warrior and now political family.

The images pictured in the other's brains were completely different from Ava's for as they lack the perspective and processing ability a Warrior has. They didn't have the appropriate reaction speed to effectively process the initial appearance of the sharp knife-like object. Images only began illustrating in their minds until it has reached the hands of Atlas, whereas he completed an unbelievable feat.

Not knowing how to appropriately react, a clap sounded from the crowd. Of course, it came from Atlas himself, his smile as bright as the sun in the dark night. Like a lit match igniting a trail of gunpowder, the audience began clapping thunderously despite Nova being a 'criminal' and all the armed police officers at the scene.

"Catch." Nova tossed the booklet over to Ava under the cacophony of warm claps, acting as chill and chic as possible.

Ava caught it easily with her other hand, checking the cover page and the content in awe.

The Coiling Dragon Arena has provided these identity booklets beforehand, indicating their position as government officials and legalized to carry weapons. It's also why the Coiling Dragon Arena does security checks first to ensure the receivers won't misuse it for harmful personal means to the country.

Nova held a finger before his mouth, winking at her to keep this a secret.

Ava sighed, tossing the booklet back to Nova and declared to the tensed cops behind. "False alarm. Call off the others. I repeat. Get back to your posts." She lowered her gun, tucking it into its sheathe on her waist.

She intentionally glowered at the police man who fired 'accidentally' while the man quickly got into his police vehicle.

To be frank, she had no suspicion regarding that colleague, until she saw Nova grinning intently at that specific man. There's definitely going to be further investigation.

But first...

"Nice to meet you. I'm Ava. Hope we didn't cause you any trouble tonight." Ava offered a handshake and Nova accepted it with a firm one. He greeted back, however, not sharing his name in return.

"My name's Atlas. I think you better take some people in tonight for some detailed interrogations. For example, your brother Aiden, whose name I overheard, just tried to bash this sweet lady's father." Atlas walked up from behind Nova, chewing a snicker bar this time to fill his still empty belly while Reb carefully followed his footsteps respectfully. After witnessing what happened, Reb acknowledges what he has to do— ride Atlas's coattail.

"Did I refer to you?" Ava didn't even bother to look at Atlas, turning to Leilani who was nearing her while supporting her father.

Atlas shrugged with unjust, gulping down the chucks of chocolate in his mouth. "Geez, Nova sure is a more successful chick magnet than me."

Atlas ran away miserably to Percy, asking whether he has hacked and deleted the videos or photos that people might have recorded to not only conceal their identities, but also to change the topic and hide the awkwardness shrouding him. Undoubtably, Atlas butted in a while ago for many other reason; to help introduce Nova to Ava; to tarnish his own impression to emphasize Nova's; and to allow Nova to be center of attraction.

Journey on forcing Nova to willingly complete his secret dream!

"I doubt that any ordinary teen like you can be promoted as a high positioned government official at such a young age. Where's your department? What do you do specifically?" After chatting with Leilani, Ava turned her attention back to Nova, her face full of curiosity.

"Secret." Nova smirked mysteriously and blinked his eye, deciding to keep the Coiling Dragon Arena a secret from Ava.

"Stingy." Ava chuckled openly, her uncomfortable looking police uniform unable to keep two massive force stationary.

Even as a man with high dignity and strong will power, Nova cannot suppress the urge to ogle. He immediately glanced at another direction, coincidentally at Petal, who is also bursting out to giggle, creating similar magnitudes of woman made earthquake.

"God damn." Nova murmured, stretching his neck and massaging the muscles around his shoulder to search for a less blood pumping perspective.

Finding a safer location to land his vision, his eyes captured Leilani listening to her father's whispers. She took few quick glimpses of Nova as her cheeks gradually turned more and more rosy, her eyes growing determined and dreamy.

Leilani released her hands from her father and did something that no one would ever expect.

She half knelt before Nova, her midnight black hair water-falling down. Bowing sincerely, she spoke in a very soft and humble yet nervous and trembling tone.

"Sir! Would you please be kind enough to accept me as your student?"
