Moving Away

After the exam ended Liu Shi Meng went to find Feng Mo and Kong Ling while a senior disciple led everyone else to their living quarter.

The living quarters for normal disciples are located near the front gate next to the courtyard. Disciples would typically share a large room with their peers that got in on the same year. As for Feng Mo and Kong Ling, they live in the living quarters located further inside the sect. Disciples that proves to be a future pillar of the sect live there with the privilege of a private room. Up until now Liu Shi Meng also lives there using Feng Mo and Kong Ling's room.

Crossing the bridge of the lake located in the middle of the sect Liu Shi Meng reaches the living quarter. "Brother Kong Ling, it's me, Shi Meng." Liu Shi Meng knocks on Kong Ling's door. Opening the door Kong Ling grins at Liu Shi Meng. "Since you're here, I assume you passed?"

Liu Shi Meng's call also brought out Feng Mo who's the room was right next door. Joining the two inside Kong Ling's room Feng Mo made himself comfortable on a chair. "How was it?"

"Hmm... what if I told you I failed?" Receiving dark glares from Feng Mo, Liu Shi Meng quickly fixes his words. "A joke a joke, I passed, of course, thanks to the teaching of my dear brothers."

"That's right how can you fail." Feng Mo nods his head. Kong Ling looks at Feng Mo's cool composure 'Hello? Who was the one all worried in a stupid daze today?'

Noticing Kong Ling's expression, Feng Mo stares back resolutely 'You.'

Ignoring Feng Mo, Kong Ling notices that Liu Shi Meng was packing a bag. "Shi Meng, what are you doing?"

"I'm moving to the outer living quarters with the other disciples." Liu Shi Meng saw the parcels of mung bean cakes from this morning and decides to pack those too.

Feng Mo scrunches his eyebrows. "There's no need. You can just continue living here."

"It's better if I'm with the other disciples. That way I'll be more prepared when I have to work with them or compete against them. Oh, but I'm not completely moving away. I'm only bringing some snacks and books."

After packing, Liu Shi Meng went directly to the outer quarters. 'If I remember correctly, the senior disciple said it was this room?'

"Ah, Liu Shi Meng right?" A cheery youth with bright eyes and hair tied sideway greets Liu Shi Meng when he opened the door. He appears to be around the same age as Liu Shi Meng. This person is Dong He Shui, the fifth person to pass the exam. "The atmosphere in here is sooo tense. I was dying of boredom, none of these wooden logs would talk to me!"

Liu Shi Meng observes the room. Chun Yang Huang and Chun Hong Yue took a bed next to each other while Tian Han Ran took the bed farthest away from them. 'It seems that there's bad blood between them?'

The only remaining bed was next to Chun Hong Yue. Liu Shi Meng didn't want to get too close to the siblings but seeing there was no other bed, he resigns himself to his fate. He plops down onto the bed and took out a book to read.

"Hey, hey, hey! Meng Ge, where were you before?" Chun Hong Yue climbs over to Liu Shi Meng's bed while looking over his shoulder. "What are you reading?"

Liu Shi Meng turns to face Chun Hong Yue. "Although we are fellow disciples of the same sect, we've only just met. We are not familiar enough for you to call me brother."

Chun Hong Yue puffs up his cheeks indignantly. "Says who we're not close, says who! Meng Geee I've missed you so much!"

On the other side of the room, Tian Han Ran snorts in disgust.

"Chun Hong Yue! All the times I tried to talk to you-you acted like you were fucking deaf! Why are you so talkative now?" Annoyed Dong He Shui threw the apple he began eating at him.

Dodging Chun Hong Yue remarked "Huh? But we're not close? Why would I want to talk to you? You're annoying!"

"Y-you..!"

Liu Shi Meng rubs his forehead as he threw off the apple that landed on his bed. '...But I'm not close with you either!'
