The pain after Death

Judith returned to the floor and pulled him in for a hug. He rested his head on her chest. She bent down and brushed her chin against his short dark hair. His body shook. That moment, she wanted to reciprocate the feeling of comfort he gave her the previous night. To take away the pain in his heart. She would never allow him to feel the crushing weight of loneliness she experienced not long ago.

"She just wanted me to soil my hands with her blood and I fell for it" he wept pityingly.

"It is alright" she consoled him. "We will tell the police it was self-defence"

"No no no" he escaped from her solace. "Nigerian Police don't know self-defence. If they come here, both of us are going to prison for the charge of murder"

"Both of us?"

"Yes! What are you going to tell them happened before? That you were sleeping when I shot a lady twice in the chest?"

"Ok. So, what do we do?"
