The entirety of the Three Realms was calm and unopposed. The Thousand Year Blood War came to a close almost eons ago. If there was a squabble between immortal cultivators it was petty and between some of the smallest of powers. One immortal was peacefully chewing on a piece of grass. "Ahhh l really can relax, so much has happened but we are in a time of peace. Hmmm if it continues like this l may never practice the Dao or cultivate. What's the point!"
Another immortal came behind him "Daoist Cloudjade l know that you're not neglecting your studies, peace or not, what if the Outsiders come back?"
Daoist Cloudjade chuckles a bit "Great Master, Sagacious Sun Li l do believe you are way too cautious if the Outsiders arrive again the Highbringer and Mother Nuwa will make swift work of them"
Sagacious Sun Li smiles "you are right, those two are the true guardians of the Three Realms. However, I do not like lazy students so at least practice the Dao for an hour each day."
Daoist Cloudjade sighed "as you wish Great Master."
Sagacious Sun Li walks away and the one named Cloudjade starts to calmly and lazily sleep. A single thought strand exited Cloudjade's ear and became a translucent clone of Cloudjade. One napped and lived carefree, while the other practiced the Dao.
This continued for about three years he would sleep then every hour on the dot would train. In truth these several billions of years were extremely peaceful. Even though they had lost Star god they still had two undeniably powerful figures. Those two definitely stood at the peak of power that any one person in the Three Realms could attain.
BOOOOM!!
Cloudjade jumped to his feet "Great Master what's going on".
Sagacious Sun Li frowned "impossible".
A gigantic golden spatial tear hung over the heavens. A bolt of God Fire Lightning struck upon a backwater minor world. God Fire Lightning is lightning that came directly from primordial chaos and was terrifyingly powerful. The hole quickly closed up after. However, right before it closed an ancient, primeval force came through.
Sagacious Sun Li was trembling "it's even worse than I could ever imagine."
Cloudjade prepared himself for the impending doom. In an instant one figure in black robes appeared "l hope l wasn't too late." He smiled then took a grim look at the rampaging force.
Cloudajde fell to his knees "saved l'm really saved. The Highbringer is here".
The Highbringer brandished his massive world scythe. "This won't take long, but the fact that the Golden Sunstreak held a force like this in it is terrifying." He sighs lightly.
He casually swipes his scythe across the body of the massive demonic figure. In an instant it was cut in half and dissipated into smoke. He put his free hand on his chin "hmmm why did the Golden Sunstreak open now".
He turns over to Cloudjade "fellow Daoist what did you see before this portal opened".
Cloudjade sits up quickly "u-uh yes Hedgemon, it was calm and then suddenly the sky ripped open then from the portal shot a bolt of God Fire Lightning."
The Highbringer nodded his head then quickly departed "troubling, quite troubling indeed."
The Highbringer quickly made it back to the Celestial Court. Once he made it he found Mother Nuwa then bowed respectfully "Mother Nuwa I'm sure you know by now, but The Golden Sunstreak appeared again."
Mother Nuwa was clearly distraught "I fear we might have to venture into the endless void"
The Highbringer was slightly surprised "b-but Grand Mother what about the Three Realms? With no guardians the Outsiders might come back!"
Mother Nuwa sighs deeply "my child listen, we have reached a level so high that the Three Realms are more of a burden. The cultivators here have grown complacent with themselves. If we leave we might make new figures on our level. I'll give you two thousand years to say your goodbyes."
The Highbringer understood everyone was living joyful lives and not worrying to cultivate themselves. He was slightly disgusted with the power of the cultivators. When he partook in the Thousand Year Blood War he didn't expect this. He was fighting for his wife, and now he was fighting for his unborn child.
On the distant minor world
The bolt crashed down smashing apart the ground. It made a crater around the size of three thousand kilometers in diameter. In the center of the crater held a small egg formed from Primordial Chaos and True Creation. That egg sat still and silent for about five hundred years. Then all of a sudden.
Crack crack! Pop!
The egg hatched into a small male youth that had a small horn growing from his forehead. His body emanated starlight. It was like a small star personified. He was born in golden robes. Once it hatched several mortals ran away in horror. While others bowed and raised their hands to the sky. "Great Sky King!"
"Great Sky King!"
"FOOLS RUN THAT THING WILL KILL YOU"!!
They all chanted for the birth of their new god while others screamed out for their safety. The newborn rubbed its eye then yawned then fell to sleep. After all, it was still a child. One of the woodcutters came up "well I do reckon this lil' feller needs a home".
He slung his hatchet over his back then he carried the small child. "This here ain't no sky whatever or cold blooded killer. Tis' a little boy. I'm sick just thinkin of how you would treat a child".
He spat on the ground and carried off the youth to his thatched cottage. "There ya go little one you take all the rest you need".
He laid him down in a hay bale and sighed softly. "What am I to do? I just took the kid. I don't even know how ta raise one".
He put his hand on his head laughing a little bit. Outside his house people were shouting curses and mocks. He stands up "what now?!"
He walks over to his window and looks out. Outside was a pitchfork mob "GIVE US BACK THE GREAT SKY KING"!!!
"AHH BUGER OFF THE KIDS TRYIN TA SLEEP!! IF YOU BLOKES WAKE HIM UP I'LL PERSONALLY KILL YA"!!
The child got out of bed then flung the door open with his mind. He floated above all the mortals. Each and everyone of them bowed "Great Sky King, we give ourselves to you"!
He looks down at them disdainfully "leave my father alone or I'll kill all of you".
The golden youth spoke out calmly and simply, as if taking their lives was the same as saying his own name. The woodcutter opened his mouth and was speechless. He didn't know the boy could speak let alone fly or everything else. "AH HA HA LOOK AT MA BOY, HE'S A LITTLE ASS KICKER ALREADY"!!
He slowly floated back down to the earth. The Woodcutter jumped out of the window "woah I got ya kid".
The youth gently floated into his arms he put his thumb in his mouth gently sucking on his thumb "papa I'm tired"
"Err yeah yeah here".
The Woodcutter lays the youth down gently. From then on life continued like normal. None of the people hated the Woodcutter anymore, in fact he lived very comfortably. The townsfolk gave him many gifts and food so he never had to work again. 15 years goes by.
"Well l'm off father I'm gonna see the world a little bit".
The Woodcutter chuckled a little "off ya go don't wait around lest you wanna see yer old man cry".
The youth laughed a little bit and hugged his father. Suddenly a gigantic boom sounds through the town.
"GREAT SKY KING, GREAT SKY KING!! IT'S A BEAST WAVE SAVE US"!!!
He sighed "well duty calls".
The Woodcutter grabs his son "don't die. Be safe Xùrì Lièrì".
He gripped his son tightly and Xùrì Lièrì held him just as tight. In a backwater minor world like this Xùrì Lièrì was the only immortal cultivator thus he protected his kinsman from beast waves. He was only a cultivator because his soul had been implanted with a supreme cultivation technique at birth. Xùrì Lièrì didn't even know he was cultivating; it was something he did subconsciously.
He turned into a blob of smoke traveling at great speeds to the beast wave. Many of the waves he encountered all he had to do was kill the alpha of the pact. He quickly leapt over the wall. Xùrì Lièrì casually slashed the lesser diremonsters with his hatchet. Xùrì Lièrì filleted each of the ones he encountered as easily as killing chickens. He tore through each of the monsters killing enough so he could feed the entire village. After all, why did he ever hunt? When Xùrì Lièrì was this strong, several beasts came to him for slaughter. "Alright, that should do it".
He dashed past each of them at incredible speed. He wiped his arm across the landscape causing a gust of wind to blast the small monsters away. He could feel a massive aura at the center of the horde. "That's it, it must be the alpha".
Once he bore through the center like a giant awl he saw it. "Wow she's…"
Xùrì Lièrì lived his life peacefully and unshaken but once he saw the Celestial Dragon he was stunned. He had never seen anything so pretty before. To him it was as if he looked at the gates of heaven. "What am I feeling?"
He was always super confident in himself but when he saw her he felt shy and scared. He immediately turned tail and ran away. The diremonsters all looked confused; they were going to destroy the village and eat the denizens. So why did he run?
"Father, father help I need you!"
His father looked surprised. "you… need me?"
Ever since he was 13 he didn't rely on his father anymore. He could take care of himself. He understood pretty much anything this world has to offer. His father did a very good job of teaching him. When he was young he taught him how to use a hatchet and since then he was able to create his own Dao Realm in the Dao of the Axe. When studying the Dao it can be explained like this if you gain a slight enlightenment you can be considered having One With the Axe. when one draws upon the power of the world when executing that Dao they have One With the World level of enlightenment. When one can draw power from the universe then One With Everything. Once they are able to draw on power from themselves and use their Dao to change space then they can make their own Dao Realm.
The Dao Realm is the most important step in the Dao; it is the foundation for the future, and the Dao Realm which Xùrì Lièrì made was perfect in every aspect. This was why no one in this world could threaten him.
His father stood up straight "u-uh so what ya need."
Xùrì Lièrì looked to the side he was slightly embarrassed "uh um when I… when l was fighting I met uh a Celestial Dragon. She was really pretty and l felt shy all of a sudden."
His father was holding back laughter "HAHA MA BOY MA SON WHAT YOU GOT IS LOVE!!"
Xùrì Lièrì looked embarrassed "father…"
He slapped his back hard and made a loud boom with it "TIS' NOTHIN TO WORRY BOUT, GO GET 'ER!!"
"B-but won't it be awkward seeing as I went there to kill her?"
"AH HAHA HOW DO YA THINK I MET YER MOTHER!!"
Although they technically aren't related he had no intentions of telling him that. Xùrì Lièrì got really excited "yeah, yeah you're right!"
He jumped up and hugged his father. "I'm going thank you!"
He feld at high speeds. He once more reached the center with ease. The Celestial Dragon looked at him "oh look boys the cowards back."
Xùrì Lièrì got flustered "l-l didn't run cause I was scared."
The Dragon smiled and raised an eyebrow "oh then why did you leave."
Xùrì Lièrì crossed his arms and spoke matter of factly "l left cause you were beautiful and I didn't know how to react to that"
She blushes a little bit "I-. KILL HIM!!"
The monsters all looked at each other; they were very confused by this interaction. Without anymore hesitation the horde jumped on him. Xùrì Lièrì shook his head "OUTTA MY WAY LOSERS!!"
He wouldn't allow any force to keep him away from his love; he would kill anyone and anything that tried. He swept his axe across the horde and instantly turned them all into a fountain of blood. The Celestial Dragon was surprised she didn't expect her men to be so weak. "Pitiful bastards, why do I even keep them around? I guess if you want something done you do it yourself."
She turned into a blob of smoke and in an instant appeared right in front of Xùrì Lièrì. She struck out her bestial claws across his chest. He casually smiles and glides his hatchet along her claw. They go blow for blow, however the defenses of Xùrì Lièrì were simply too high and he was able to effortlessly block each of her attacks. This continued for months.
Whenever a beast wave would attempt to move on their territory, they would send murderous intent towards them. This intent was so powerful that they instantly ran away from fear. It must be understood that beast waves rangened in the millions so for them to scare away millions of diremonsters was incredible.
After the Celestial Dragon grew tired she fell on her stomach. "Ha ha so this is all the effort the immaculate Celestial Dragon could muster". Xùrì Lièrì said smugly.
She grew embarrassed "you already beat me into submission, must you tease me as well".
He smiles then lets out his hand for her to lift herself up. She tenderly takes it. Although the battle lasted for months if he wanted to, he could have killed her with a single chop of his hatchet. From then on a tender marriage blossomed. Five hundred years passed.
In the blink of an eye the small backwater world he was in was full of cultivators, and immortals. In fact this world was known as the strongest minor world of the Three Realms. It could even compare to some extremely weak major worlds. This was utterly unbelievable. Most minor worlds could never compare to the massive major worlds. The major world had little to no mortals, while minor worlds were the opposite.
Xùrì Lièrì came up to his father who was lazily fishing. "Father I have quite quickly gained favor with the celestial court, and they are asking me to venture with Nuwa and The Highbringer into the endless primordial void. But…"
His father sighed deeply "what is botherin ya boy".
Xùrì Lièrì sighed a little bit "my wife is due to give birth to our second born but I am unable to take care of him. If only I had just a little bit more time".
The Woodcutter looked at his son with delight "I understand, I'll do what I can by the time your wife gives birth. I shall lead the boy to a distant major world".
Xùrì Lièrì was shocked "b-but father why can't he stay here on our home planet".
"Because this tiny minor world will be no good for him".
"But father, I was born here and look at me, I stand at the apex of power and I've been here most of my life"!
His father sighed "boy let me tell you a story of your birth".
Xùrì Lièrì gasped wide mouthed "father what do you mean"!
"Ma boy ya aren't me real son, you came from the primordial chaos. You were an egg carried by the God Fire Lightning. When ya were brought into the Three Realms a golden portal ripped apart the Heavens, this was the Golden Sunstreak. The reason Nuwa wants to bring ya along is cause yer the reincarnation of Star god. Nuwa believes the reason the Golden Sunstreak opened up has somethin ta do with The Ancestral Plane of Existence. When the portal opened up two things came out, you and an ancient power. Nuwa thinks the God Fire Lightning was sent from you and the ancient power was from yer lifelong enemy".
Xùrì Lièrì stood there wide eyed "no, no impossible! I refuse to believe that! If that is true then why don't I have any of my old memories"!
He looked to the side "tis' a very good reason for that too. Yer mind was trapped in the Ancestral Realm but yer body and soul was outside. With no way to replenish yourself you perished then were sent back to be reincarnated".
Xùrì Lièrì thought deeply for a moment then departed. He couldn't bear to be around any longer. Time flowed on in the blink of an eye, Xùrì Lièrì's wife was giving birth. The Woodcutter held his grandson tightly. Even though the truth was out he didn't stop loving his son. However Xùrì Lièrì was so upset he had already traveled into the endless void.
"I shall take him to the Oldjade Major World. I think he can blossom there. Do you have anythin ya wanna say 'fore l take him".
She shook her head. She was too grief stricken, she had never expected him to leave so soon. The Woodcutter was also quite torn, he quickly turned into a blob of smoke and arrived at Oldjade in seconds. He arrived at a giant school hidden behind the mountains. This mountain side held a bamboo forest as far as the eye could see, each bamboo was a few meters in length. The school itself held a courtyard that was about a kilometer in length and a few wading ponds in the back which were riddled in lilly pads. "Ol' friend Sagacious come eer".
An old man in daoist robes comes out yawning "old man Wen Shui, what do you need for me".
The humble woodcutter smiled "ma son he traveled into the endless void along with Nuwa. he can't take care of his children no more. Can I leave 'em with ya ol friend a mine".
Sagacious Sun Li started to laugh humbly "of course I can, anything for an old pal of mine".
Wen Shui started to laugh "good, good thank ya Sun Li".
The old man gripped Wen Shui's shoulder "Please, please call me Su Lei. I'm trying to remain low key after my retirement".
He slapped his shoulder "AH HA YER A FUNNY FELLER YA KNOW THAT"!!
Old man Sun Li smiled then took the two children. "I shall take very good care of both of these children, oh and might I ask their names".
"The older feller is Jiangsu and the lil' one doesn't have a name".
Sun Li held the small child in his arms and silently mumbled a name. He took the child and fled back into the school. Wen Shui departed and fled back to his home planet.
Sun Li held the child then lightly tapped his nose, "I think I'll name you Qin Ming".
The small youth held Sun Li's finger which he could hardly grip with both hands. Sun Li's heart welled with happiness "oh my"!
He never had children of his own and so he felt as though this was his own child. After all, he named him! This was obviously very, very important to him. "I shall make sure you grow to prominence. I'll make sure that no good student of mine learns his lesson that someone stronger than you will always take your place."
Daoist Cloudjade fled to this world then quickly subjugated it under his thumb. After which he continued to live his carefree life. Sagacious Sun Li was very disappointed and thus wanted to train a diligent successor. To him Cloudjade was a stupid child and inexperienced. What he really needed was to suffer an extreme loss.
