Chapter 11 The Frozen Immortal Icedawn Part 2

Lu Snow started to run through each of the steps that her father showed her, although she was skilled in the Dao of Ice she wasn't able to merge the two as well as her father. This was because her understanding in the Dao of the Sword was a bit less than the Dao of Ice.

"Good, good! You're getting better!"

Lu Xinyue moved her arm and fixed her stance a little bit, "here try this."

Lu Snow then ran through each of the movements again, this time she was able to generate a bit of snow around her blade! "Father, father look, I did it!" She jumped up and down and hugged her father's leg. She had a wide smile on her face and couldn't stand still! Lu Xinyue lifted up his daughter and tossed her into the air. When she fell back down her father caught her and tightly hugged her. "Look at that, my Snowflake!"

Lu Jia referred to Lu Snow, as well Lu Snow. Her father referred to her as his Snowflake because that's all he could see her as! He still saw her as that little baby that was in his arms when the Snowflake fell on her head.

Lu Xinyue would tease her by saying she was chosen by the snow. But now that he saw how skilled she was in the Dao of Ice, he really meant it! "My Snowflake is chosen by the snow, no one can stand up to her now AHAH! Now my Snowflake is walking the path of the sword. She really is a tiger with wings!"

Lu Snow grabbed the edge of her fur clothing! She was looking down at her feet with puffy cheeks "father!"

Lu Xinyue lifted his daughter up and planted her on his shoulder "off we go to slay the beast, hurrah, hurrah~!"

He was skipping while singing some songs as they rushed over to the diremonsters. Lu Xinyue was endlessly proud of his daughter. He couldn't begin to fathom how much talent his daughter had!

After all, why wouldn't a parent wish for their child's success? Even though Lu Xinyue doted on his daughter more than his wife, they both wanted the best for her! Lu Jia was very tough on Lu Snow. Lu Jia was quite strict with her, but that's only because she wanted her to flourish in her studies! Lu Jia would occasionally 'fight' with Lu Xinyue about how childish he was around Lu Snow.

"My Snowflake quick, quick read [Frigid Star] technique!

If Lu Snow could start to apply the Dao of Ice with the Dao of the Sword that quickly he wondered how fast she could cultivate it! Lu Snow slapped her head as she just remembered the [Frigid Star] technique. She waved her hand and a manual quickly appeared. She read through the first chapter. She was slightly surprised as to how simple it was! There were two prerequisites to brakethrough the next level. One she had to have enough Ice-ki stored in her body. Two she had to have at least One With Ice level of enlightenment.

She had already reached One With Ice, all she needed to do was bring in Ice-ki! She started to breathe in slowly and a pile of snow started to coalesce and coax her body. The snow seeped into her skin and the cool feeling made her feel a slight pain in her body. The snow has started to form a runic seal over her dantian.

Right after the runic seals were made the icy chill left her body. The cold stopped feeling so harsh against her skin. She let out a deep sigh. Then she sat down in lotus position and a stream of snow started to come into her mouth and distill into her dantian. This was a very long and inefficient process! She had to turn things that came from the Dao of Ice so she could turn it into Ice-ki. If she had Ice-ki then he would be able to do this much, much quicker. About two hours passed by and she only had a fraction of a percent stored in her dantian!

"If I had to guess, I'd say a week is what I'd need to reach the next level!"

Lu Snow was quietly pondering to herself. Lu Xinyue suddenly stopped "alright we're here!"

Lu Xinyue put Lu Snow down. "Here my Snowflake you take on this beast."

Lu Snow waved her hand and a sword appeared in her hands! She felt the weight of it and noticed it was much heavier than her practice sword. She quickly ran through a couple of steps. "So that's the trick!"

Lu Snow started to walk forward with each step she took an icicle shot up from the ground! She then charged forth at the beast. It noticed Lu Snow draw in closer to him. The beast had the head of a horned demon but its body was skeltal like. The 'bones' were in fact ice! As Lu Snow saw this she licked her lips "ah a delightful snack!"

This was a Wraith Demon; its entire body was made out of ice. This was exactly why Lu Snow needed an easier way of cultivating Ice-ki. She charged forward and slashed the blade against its flank. The Demon was slightly alamerd, it didn't expect this human to be so strong! Once it felt its blood poured from its body, it took a few seconds to realize before screaming out in pain. Lu Snow bathed in its blood, before taking the rib that she just cut off and storing it in her spirit treasure.

The beast slammed its palm down, Lu Snow simply lifted her blade, under her breath she quietly mumbled. "[Fifth dance, Ice shatter]."

She swirled her blade and cut off each of its fingers in one fluid motion. [Fifth dance, Ice shatter] was the strongest defensive stance of [Avalanche]. This Wraith Demon was a lesser Demon. It was simply trash compared to Lu Snow.

This time the Wraith Demon stood up and let out a blood curdling scream and charged at Lu Snow. She carefully danced around each of his blows and counterattacked where she could. The Wraith Demon lifted his hand up and Lu Snow already prepared her block. However the Wraith Demon didn't attack, it just gathered up as much snow as it could into one palm.

Lu Snow stopped for a moment "what is it doing?"

The snow kept building up until he let all of it absorb into its body. "Do you know how long I've loved you stupid child! How dare you think your a threat to me!"

The Wraith Demon started to repair each of its wounds. Lu Snow nodded softly "so that's what it was doing!"

The demon struck out with two palms at once. Lu Snow just barely dodged however her leg was completely shattered! She hissed a bit but looked back at the Wraith Demon. She charged forward

"[Eighteenth dance, Sword flutter]"

Lu Snow yelled loudly. Her blade carried a hint of a glacier as it came crashing down upon the demon. Mountains of snow trailed behind her blade as she slammed it against the Wraith Demon. Before it could hit the demon, it moved its arm in front of the attack.

BOOOOM!!

A loud concussive bang rang throughout the entire Frozen Seas of the Transcendent Heavens! Lu Snow became mad as she kept forcing her blade further and further down into it. Seconds later she was sent back. Her entire body vibrated from the blast. Her blade was sent flying away, her hands were cracked and blood spilled from them. As she was falling she delicately danced back to the ground. Once she landed she coughed up blood. Her stomach was ruptured along with some other internal organs. Lu Xinyue insatly drew his great sword going to charge at the beast.

A hand fell down and gripped his shoulder and stopped him from moving. Lu Xinyue turned around and was wide mouthed.

Lu Xinyue had a stupid look on his face"L-Lu Jia!?"

She crossed her arms "Let her struggle a little more. If you save her from everything do you expect her to grow?"

"B-but my Snowflake. Look at her, that bastard really intends to beat my daughter bloody!"

Lu Xinyue had looked back at his wife and noticed her eyes were bloodshot, of course she's worried. Why wouldn't she be? Lu Xinyue had a deep urge to protect his daughter, but do you think Lu Jia didn't feel the same? Of course she did, that was her one and only child too! "No matter what happens do not step in, do you hear me!"

Lu Jia was forcing back tears. She kept swallowing as she was trying to force that lump back into her throat. Lu Xinyue looked to the side "I understand!"

Lu Xinyue had the appearance of a big scary bear, that if given the chance would kill you in a split second and not lose sleep over it! But in reality he was a big softie and was quite simple. He liked what he liked, and disliked what he disliked. When his wife told him something he naturally had to listen. Lu Xinyue thought with his heart and didn't always make the best decisions. Lu Jia thought with her head and always made the best decisions even in a split second time! Lu Jia gave off a cold vibe but she cared deeply for the people she loved. These two the more time they spent together the more they changed one another.

Over time Lu Xinyue started to think before leaping, and Lu Jia felt first. This was why this decision was eating her alive. Every other time she made a cold decision she never felt anything. Lu Xinyue truly was her better half!

Lu Snow screamed out loudly as she charged back at the Wraith Demon "Power, more power!"

She waved her hand and all of the beast body parts appeared. She took each one and ate them like a madman. As she consumed each part her dantian exploded with power! "What the hell!?"

Even after she ate each of the pieces she was only a third of the way finished. She was still at the relative same level of power as before! "Damn it, I need power!"

The beast came charging at her. She was still much more agile than the creature and was only sometimes hit. She saw a silver light flash in her eyes. "My blade!"

She rushed over and grabbed it. She quickly thought of everything she could do. "That might just work!"

She began to generate ice around her body. From her back a single hand began to form then two more formed, until she had six arms! With more arms she could wield more power, although they were a bit less powerful than her 'true' arms it was still enough! She tested each of her new arms out and started to run through a couple of movements! "That should do it!"

Lu Xinyue tightly held Lu Jia in his arms "look at our daughter she came up with that on the spot, who taught her how to do that Definitely didn't!"

Out of nowhere she pulled out five more swords. The Wraith Demon charged at her once more. Each of the eighteen stances were equal in power they each had their own application and uses! Now she could execute six at a time! It was as though six Lu Snow's were fighting at once! With her two true hands she executed the [Eighteenth dance, Sword flutter]! With her other two hands she executed the [Fifth dance, Ice shatter]. With the last two she executed her most penetrative stance the [First dance, Hidden snow].

The ones that executed the first dance, two streams fled from them like constrictive snakes. Each of those two blasts shattered apart its hands. The two that used the eighteenth dance slashed across its skull and shattered it to pieces. The ones using the fifth dance were merely insurance in case the other four attacks didn't work out. Lu Snow was very cautious and wouldn't allow herself to lose to anything or anyone! If she focused on attack then some of the Demons attacks could have come through. As her father had taught her "the best defense is also the best offense."

She collected the demon's body and she slowly limped back to her parents. Lu Xinyue held her tightly "you did great out there I'm so proud!"

Lu Jia angrily looked at her "you fool why did you wait for it to regenerate! You also could have destroyed your dantian when you ate all those parts, then what!"

Lu Snow turned to the side, her cheeks turning a blusterous red. A small tear appears in her eye as well.

"JIA!!"

Lu Xinyue angrily snapped at his wife. After all, what Lu Snow just pulled off was impressive to say the least. The people in the Three Realms who could pull that off would only be counted on a single hand! He didn't like how she treated Lu Snow.

Lu Jia grumbled under her breath "but~ I guess what you did was very impressive!"

Although Lu Jia had gone off on Lu Snow she did this because she put her safety above everything else. She gave Lu Snow every ounce of love she could! She simply had very different ways of showing it then her father!

Although it was very low and was hardly audible, Lu Snow heard it. Her eyes glowed, she quickly smiled then went over to Lu Jia and held her tightly too! Lu Jia's face turned red and her ears became hot and cold. "Erm well you still could have done better"

Hearing this just made Lu Snow hold her even tighter. Even though she tried to diminish her accomplishments, Lu Snow knew it was only because Lu Jia wasn't used to this much affection from her daughter. Lu Snow knew that her mother would always love her no matter what she said.

Lu Jia was still just as red as, "Here give me your hand, let's go home and rest."

Lu Snow nodded and grabbed her mother's hand. The two quickly went back home. Lu Snow's body was heavily beaten and Lu Jia knew this which is why she wanted her home. Halfway through walking home she fell down on her face and passed out from the pain. Lu Jia softly smiled at her daughter. A couple of hours go by before Lu Snow wakes up. "Ack!"

She tightly gripped her side as she hissed from the sensation. Lu Snow shook her head. Lu Snow was a klutz but Lu Jia definitely liked that about her. "You have to stay in bed for a couple of days. You are not permitted to do any strenuous activities."

Lu Snow frowned a bit, "fine as you wish."

Lu Snow was wrapped in several fur blankets. She felt very comfortable and honestly didn't feel like moving too much. Lu Jia waved her hand and a bowl of soup appeared. "Here eat to regain your strength."

Lu Snow softly gripped the spoon. She took a small sip of the soup, she felt tears fall from her eyes. Lu Jia stood up "what's wrong!"

Lu Snow wipes the tears off of her eyes. "No, no it's nothing. It's just that I struggled so hard. I should have won that easily."

Lu Jia began to laugh uncontrollably "oh my battles are not won easily, no matter how strong you may be!"

Lu Snow began to pout a bit. Lu Jia glances back over to her "don't worry darling, the more you train the stronger you will naturally become! Work hard."

Lu Jia stood up and left Lu Snow laying in bed. Lu Snow had a very deep concern, she was quite worried about her father. Although she knew he was strong, he could still be killed. Lu Snow knew that her mother was safe, but her father…

"Wait mother!"

Lu Jia turns around and softly looks at her daughter "what is it my child."

"Errm… uh well father hasn't arrived and I fear something terrible might have happened!"

Lu Jia nodded and she seemed to understand "ah yes your father. He is fine, don't worry too much. Get some rest my child!"

Lu Snow felt more relaxed and he was able to rest some.

The door leading to Lu Snow smashes open, Lu Xinyue stumbles in he was hurt a little bit "ahh good morning my Snowflake it's time to start training."

About a month had passed since Lu Snow had fought the Wraith Demon. She was now fully recovered and Lu Jia had allowed her to start training again. Lu Snow hopped out of bed and got ready "yes, father!"

Lu Xinyue was born into a poor family, the same goes for Lu Jia. They were able to live comfortably because Lu Xinyue was the local beast hunter. And because they protected the city they were given special accommodations! However, he saw an opportunity to rule the entire Lu Clan! If Lu Snow were to win the gold concordat then she would be named matriarch. The Lu Clan didn't care about status, you could be a dirt farmer and still be named ruler. All the Lu Clan cared about was power! Even if Lu Snow didn't wish to be matriarch she could name her father or mother to take her place.

The gold concordat was to decide a successor. The youth were the only ones able to participate, thus once she made a breakthrough to the next level she would be eligible! The only thing Lu Snow wanted was to live comfortably and see the world beyond the frozen seas!

Even though her parents wanted her to do the gold concert, if she didn't wish to take part then her parents naturally wouldn't force her. Her parents really did love and want the best for her, but the best wouldn't have to be what they wanted.

Lu Snow waved her hand and the corpse parts appeared in her hands. For her to increase to the next step should be fairly easy due to the fact the Wraith Demon was made out of Ice-ki! Even then progressing in the [Frigid Star] technique would be simple, due to the fact it required Ice-ki which was everywhere in the Frozen Seas!

Her body turned blue, fingers and arms started to rise up and turn into a liquid. The liquefied Ice-ki flew into Lu Snow's mouth. The pit of her stomach started to release an icy chill. One third… two quarters. Her daintian began to well up with Ice-ki. After two hours she was at fifty percent full. She could if she wanted to use that energy to transform her daintian. As of this moment her dantian could be described as a puddle. When she transformed it, then it would be a pond. Pond to lake so on and so forth!

Lu Snow felt a bit disappointed, "hmmm all of those parts seemed to fill it to half. I don't wish to go through with it, if I make my breakthrough now, my Xiantian dantian would simply be ordinary. No good, no good at all!"

Lu Snow wanted to be the strongest, the stronger one was the more carefree of a life they could have! This is what she wanted! Which is why once she wins to gold concordat she is going to pass the leadership roles to her parents. Lu Snow was strong but even then she wouldn't be the slightest bit over confident. She only knows her family! Lu Snow was fairly shy and wouldn't converse with the villagers even though they tried! And thus she didn't know the power level of the other immortal cultivators her age.

Lu snow felt herself bottleneck, she had two choices in front of her. She could either go out and hunt for more Wraith Demons, or she could slowly cultivate. "Hmmm maybe I should ask father and mother!"

She got up and began to head out. "Father, mother, I have a dilemma."

Lu Xinyue rubbed his beard "I see this is quite troubling. Lu Jia, what do you think?"

Lu Jia was slowly chewing the top of her lip, "on one hand you could run into great fortunes on your adventure, on top of the Ice-ki you need. But on the other hand you will safely progress and success is nearly one hundred percent."

Lu Snow stood up "if no one has any objections I will go hunt!"

Lu Xinyue stood up quickly, but Lu Jia pulled him down and covered his mouth, "if that is your choice then go."

Lu Snow nodded then quickly departed. "Why'd you let her go!"

Lu Jia smiles softly "because she must learn on her own, tempering might be good for her!"

Lu Xinyue sat back down and began to pout. "Fine then if you think that's the best option."

Lu Snow was not well versed in the world, so how was she supposed to know where Wraith Demon's were. So she had to go and buy reports and ask the locals. She stepped into the local treasury, she went up to the man running the store. "I would like to purchase some reports regarding Wraith Demons."

The man lowered his book and looked at the girl "ah what do you want with Wraith Demon's, ya sure a girl like you could handle them?"

Lu Snow doesn't take too kindly to this and she draws her blade "I ask for information, not your lip!"

The man slams his hands on his desk "AH YEAH AND WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO WITH THAT TOOTHPICK!"

A man comes out behind him "LU TENYI I hOPE TO GOD THAT YOU AREN'T PATRONIZING OUR GUEST AGAIN!!!"

Lu Tenyi turns around "na boss I'm not doing nothing this girl just started waving her sword around at me!"

The boss looks at Lu Snow "hey Lu Tenyi tell me isn't that Lu Xinyue's kid. Ahh Lu Ice… Lu something?"

She looks a bit embarrassed and quietly says "it's Lu Snow."

The boss looks at her and grabs her hands "Ahhh yes Lu Snow, I remember you when you were a little baby, I apologize for Lu Tennis behavior."

The boss slaps the back of Lu Tenyi's head "ay have more respect for her, she could very well be our next matriarch."

Lu Tenyi rubs the back of his head "you plan on taking place in the gold concordat? Good luck kid, I've heard of what ya can do but compared to some of our other youths you're really just ordinary!"

This is what she really feared. She knew that she might not necessarily be as strong as the composition. She felt like she liked the store owner and so she asked "who has the best chances of winning?"

The owner softly rubbed his chin "ah if I had to guess it would most likely be Netherjade."

Lu Snow rolled his name around her mouth "Netherjade." she silently cursed his name.

Lu Tenyi slaps his fist into his hand "ah yeah doesn't he have one of those extraordinary talents. yeah , yeah wasn't he accepted by that Heavenly shroud school."

The store owner smiles "of course he does, why do you think he already has his daoist title?"

Lu Tenyi looks back at the store owner "true but I wouldn't only worry about Netherjade, you've also got Goldchild he's also a shoe-in!"

The store owner softly nodded "look kid cause your father is one of my good friends and how poorly my employee treated ya, I'll give you the reports you asked for. I'll also give you Goldchild's and Netherjade's reports!"

"Fine I'll accept these and we shall count our score settled!"

The store owner waved his hands and three thick manuals appeared in hands, he tossed each one over to her. Lu Snow stored them in her ring and then left the store. She began reading each of the manuals starting the Netherjade. She grit her teeth and a few almost shattered "this Netherjade…"
