Chapter 13 Skysoar College

Lu Snow looked back at the house she grew up in, and softly sighed. She was on a path that she absolutely had to take, she wanted to become the strongest. Something like a Clan would just end up holding her back. In her place she decided to have her mother and father lead the Lu Clan. though Lu Snow was the true leader.

As she walked past the gates leading into the outside world, one of the members stopped her. "Hey kid where ya going now?"

Of course it was none-other than Lu Bi, Lu Snow looked back at her, "I plan on joining one of the schools, if I do that then I may be able to grow even stronger!"

Lu Bi eyes glew "ah a place to get stronger, I'm in!"

Lu Snow nodded her head then she began to walk away, Lu Bi followed behind her. Lu Snow waved her hand and a book appeared. She handed it to Lu Bi, "could you help me out."

Lu Bi looked at her with a puzzled look, "uh… yeah with what kid?"

"I am trying to decide what school to join, however, I wish to join the best school. Problem is I don't know which one that is!"

Lu Bi took the book and scanned the pages, she called Lu Snow over and pointed at a name in the book. "Here this one, the Skysoar College is infamous for training geniuses! Do ya actually plan on joining?"

Lu Snow looked at Lu Bi, "of course I do, and so long as you're with me you're joining too!"

Lu Bi chuckled softly "yeah in your dreams, no way I'm getting in!"

Lu Snow was turning red "what do you mean!! You definitely have enough talent to get in!"

She drew her sword and Lu Bi was slightly caught off guard, "er what do you plan on doing with that?"

"Face me, so you know just how strong you are!"

Lu Bi put her hand on Lu Snow's sword, "I- Don't think I'd pose a challenge!"

Lu Snow shot a cold gaze "That's an order from your Matriarch you are in no place to refuse!"

Lu Snow hated flaunting around her title. However, she did so because she wouldn't allow Lu Bi to talk so poorly of herself.

Lu Bi grit her teeth, if anything she was loyal. She had to follow Lu Snow's order! Lu Bi got into her fighting stance, in the blink of an eye they turned into streaks of light. Lu Bi's fist struck against Lu Snow's sword, the ground shuddered. The snow beneath them was cleared in an instant, Lu Bi struck out with her other fist. Lu Snow became a bit frantic, she instantly drew another sword out of nowhere and used that one to block. "She actually pushed me, just how strong has she gotten in the past couple of months!"

Once Lu Bi saw that she was actually putting up a fight she grew even more mad. She pulled back her fists and sent a flurry of blows. Each blow sent Lu Snow deeper into the ground, Lu Snow was actually feeling pressure, she started to cough up blood. "ARGGG ENOUGH!!"

"[Eighteenth dance, Sword flutter]"

Her twin swords crashed against Lu Bi's side, Lu Bi didn't mind in the slightest instead she sent a fist covered in the Dao of Ice. Snow trailed behind her fist like a comet once she collided with Lu Snow's sword both the blades instantly split and the shards were sent in every direction. Each of the shards hit Lu Snow's sides and arms and her skin was split apart, blood dripped from her wounds but Lu Snow didn't mind!

Her ten fingers each swirled around and shot out ice rockets that slammed against Lu Bi's body! Lu Bi desperately tried to hold onto the rockets made of ice. Her hands were splitting apart as blood soaked the icicles. The icicles started to turn a blood red, Lu Bi's eyes become bloodshot. Then she threw her hands up and each of those icicles shot off in the air. They continue to fly, cracking the wind until it finally explodes in air.

Lu Bi wiped her nose and softly laughed "heh would you look at that I made swift work of your ace move!"

Lu Snow softly sighed "see you are very much qualified to join the Skysoar College!"

Lu Bi nodded, she finally understood why Lu Snow forced her to fight her. If Lu Bi hadn't then she never would have seen how powerful she really was! "Come now Lu Bi let's find Skysoar College."

They both headed out and it took a total of three months to reach Skysoar College. There wasn't much that actually challenged the power duo that was Lu Bi and Lu Snow! They even had to pass through Beast's Union Hill, which was the most terrifying danger zone in the Frozen Seas of the Transcendent Heavens. They made short work of it and even gathered an impressive amount of ice-ki.

They arrived at the front doors and one of the lower class soldiers came out. "Ey what ya want, applications aren't for a year!"

Lu Snow walks up to him "what do you mean, are you saying we'll have to wait an entire year?!"

He couldn't be bothered to talk anymore and he just waves his hand shoeing them away. Lu Snow ground her teeth and stepped forward, she moved to draw her sword. Lu Bi just nearly catches her shoulder. "Na it's not worth it let's get in some training before the year!"

Lu Snow calms down and releases her hand off of her sword. She turns away, she looks at Lu Bi "when we join the college remind me to kill him!"

Lu Snow hated most of all being disrespected! She was out for blood. Lu Bi laughs a bit awkwardly "let's not kill him, he's only doing his job kid."

Lu Snow lets hot air out of her nose "fine!"

They head over to the nearby inn. They greet the owner and Lu Snow asks for a room. "Eh you want just one room? Alright, that'll be a pound of gold then!"

Lu Snow laughs and pulls it out and hands it to the man and they claim a room together, Lu Snow pulls out gord from nowhere. She sits down in lotus position and pulls the stopper from the gord, cold frigid energy was pooled into one place! The ice-ki swirled around Lu Snow's body. Then Lu Snow quickly began to gobble up all of the energy into her dantian. She frowned slightly "hmm this is disappointing all of that ice-ki and I barely made a dent."

She softly sighed then stood up. Lu Snow turns to Lu Bi, "what should we do for an entire year?"

Lu Bi scratches her head, "we're no longer in the Lu Clan, we are nothing but small fish now! Our best bet is to introduce ourselves to the major powers here. If we are lucky we might court some favor!"

Lu Snow nods "that might be one of our best options, come lets go!"

Lu Snow and Lu Bi both head outside of their rooms and continue to greet the leader. Right now they were in the Calm Seas commandery, this was one of the biggest powers in the Frozen Seas of the Transcendent Heavens! This was led primarily by the Feng Clan, and the leader was none other than Feng Xia. She was the strongest person in the Frozen Seas of the Transcendent Heavens.

Lu Snow had a deep admiration for Feng Xia but the thing about Feng Xia was she was very stubborn. Both of them were very similar. When they reached her estate they waited for someone to greet them. "Who disturbs the Matriarch of the Feng Clan!"

Lu Snow looks up at the guard and she looks as though she couldn't be bothered anymore than she already was! Lu Snow slowly grit her teeth. "I am the Matriarch of the Lu Clan, and I wish to meet this Feng Xia!"

The female guard looks at Lu Snow then shoos her off with one hand, "bah shut up girl Matriarch or not the luminous Feng Xia is busy come back later!"

Lu Snow feels herself growing impatient, however she can't afford to be brash. After all, she didn't want Lu Bi to get her out of hot water all the time! She turns around and grabs Lu Bi's hand "lets go, we're just wasting time here!"

Lu Snow let out a huff of hot air from her nose. Before they could leave a voice prevented them from leaving. "Wait, don't leave!"

Lu Snow turned around and her jaw fell to the ground. It was Feng Xia who had stopped them. Why did she stop them? Lu Snow had already figured Feng Xia couldn't be bothered to even greet them. "What?!"

Lu Snow was already thoroughly annoyed, so she didn't have much patience with Feng Xia. Feng Xia scratches her chin with one finger, she awkwardly laughs "ah ha yeah I guess I did deserve that. Please ignore my guards' patient attitude, let's have that talk."

Lu Snow looked at Lu Bi, "what do you think?"

Lu Bi grabbed her chin, "I think you should take it after all we are trying to gain the favor of the surrounding sects, the stronger the better!"

Lu Snow sighed then looked up at Feng Xia, "fine if Lu Bi agrees then I shall go."

They continue to walk toward Feng Xia, her guard shoots them a cold look. Lu Bi flashes her teeth at the guard followed by a low growl. The guard backed off a bit. They enter the banquet hall and Feng Xia leads them to a small table. The banquet hall was beautifully decorated with potted plants and gold lined walls. The stone pillars had intricate carvings in the folds of the stone. Before Lu Snow could be lost in the beauty of the room Feng Xia says something, "now let's get to the matter at hand"

Lu Snow looks puzzled "matter at hand? We just came to talk; we didn't bring business to discuss."

"Even so, I would like to indoctrinate you into the Fengtooth Sect!"

Lu Snow shot a wide eye at Feng Xia "you want me in the Fengtooth Sect? Why?"

Feng Xia laughed a little bit "well I have information regarding almost all the Clans in the frozen seas, and one of them happens to be the Lu Clan. I also heard that you won the gold concordat, I also learned that you are a genius in the Dao of Ice!"

Lu Bi looked back at Lu Snow, "this is a great opportunity, we can't be rash!"

Feng Xia waved her hands "no, no take all the time you need!"

Feng Xia was known for scooping up all the promising youths. If they were able to reach the World level at the age of eight then they would naturally be someone to watch! Netherjade was also a part of the Fengtooth Sect. This was really the reason she wanted to meet Feng Xia.

After discussing for a few moments Lu Snow stands up "if I join would that mean Lu Bi can follow!"

Lu Bi slaps her wrist "SNOW, we didn't agree on that!"

Feng Xia laughs "oh my you wish for her to join… I don't know if that's possible, she's just…"

Lu Snow shoots her a look "she's just what!"

Feng Xia stands up "look Lu Snow I like you, but you have a very big mouth. Do you really think you can pull my chain?"

Lu Snow grits her teeth and forces herself to speak "oh yeah~ Then why don't you test Lu Bi then. If she loses then you can kill me on the spot!"

Feng Xia stands up and slams her hands on the table "FINE!!! If that's how you want this Snow then let's do it!"

Lu Bi felt her heart clench, "look Feng Xia please reconsider Lu Snow is very emotional but she means well!"

Feng Xia shoots a cold gaze "Lu Bi come let's start your test~"

Feng Xia and Lu Snow were very similar; they did not want to lose. This was a very big reason Feng Xia liked her so much! Lu Bi stepped up and lifted up her hands waving them frantically "wait, wait hold on just a moment!"

"Oh and why is that?!"

Lu Bi slams her hand in the stone pillar causing the room to shudder. "Because I have not agreed!"

Feng Xia's right eye began to twitch "then maybe I should just kill Lu Snow now!"

Her hand seemed slowly moved over to Lu Snow's throat. It may have looked slow but her hand was moving lightning fast. Lu Bi shot her hand at Feng Xia's and caught it between her hands. Lu Bi began to crush Feng Xia's hand. Lu Bi's eyes were very cold as she gazed into Feng Xia's eyes "don't you dare touch my Matriarch!!"

Feng Xia's eyes became bloodshot, she threw back her hand and threw Lu Bi away. She put one hand behind her back and called Lu Bi over to challenge her. "If you can force me to use two hands then you'll win, however if you don't participate I will kill Lu Snow!"

Lu Bi grimace then charged forward. She sent a flurry of blows and each one was blocked by Feng Xia's palm. Lu Bi grits her teeth, she sends down her foot and smashes apart the banquet hall. They fall from the top floor and stumble a bit, Lu Bi and Feng Xia continue to fight. They hopped from one piece of debris to another. The entire place began to crumble around them, several guards rushed in to stop Lu Bi. Feng Xia wouldn't allow any disruptions and shot a cold look at the guards.

Feng Xia twisted her fist and back handed Lu Bi. She turned into a streak of light as she shot back into the ground. Once Lu Bi crashed into the earth like a meteor, a loud concussive boom rang throughout the area. Lu Bi picks herself out of the crater and quickly rushes Feng Xia.

Lu Bi ran a palm to the side of Feng Xia's chest however she effortlessly blocked the blow. Lu Bi lifts her fingers up and several icicles shoot towards Feng Xia. Lu Bi swings her palm and a blanket of snow rushes towards Feng Xia's body. Then Lu Bi reaches for Feng Xia's hand and grips down on it tightly. "If you don't block then you'll die!

Feng Xia chewed on the top of her lip as ice and snow was slowly closing in on her. She never expected Lu Bi to be so vicious. "GRRR!!! THAT'S ENOUGH!!"

Feng Xia released her other hand and used that one to block and easily shot away everything. Yet after she let out a soft sigh of defeat. They slowly fell to the ground, she shot a quick glance at Lu Snow then turned away and left. Lu Bi was dumbfounded and could hardly speak. Feng Xia walked over to one of her guards and threw them to the ground "get this mess cleaned up!!" she barked orders at her like a madman.

It took a full month before the headquarters could be repaired, afterwards Lu Snow went to meet Feng Xia. "Greetings Matriarch." She bowed respectfully to Feng Xia. Feng Xia lifted up her hand and told her to stand up. Lu Snow stood up then the two began to delightfully chat with each other. Two hand-maidens walked into the room with a plate of buns, meats and cheeses. The buns were filled with a bean paste that can only be enjoyed within the Feng Clan. Not only did the bean only grow in the Feng Clan, but any reports of it being grown outside Feng Xia would immediately move to kill the offender. Usually only Feng Clan members would be allowed to eat it, but Feng Xia did enjoy Lu Snow very much.

Lu Snow and Feng Xia began to enjoy the delicacies of the Feng Clan. even the meats were of a high caliber. The Feng Clan would train up dire monsters; almost all of them were godbeasts. They didn't train them for the intent of putting them in their armies, no they had the intent of tempering their soldiers. What were they doing with the corpses… well they feed the royal family! The cheese came from godbeasts as well! Feng Xia very much wanted to impress Lu Snow so she went all out.

When Lu Snow ate she felt her eyes grow "wow this tastes wonderful!" she gushed.

Lu Snow was delightfully chewing on her food humming merrily. Feng Xia grew happier just by looking at Lu Snow. "In the Lu Clan we don't have anything like this!"

Feng Xia lightly sighed "well if that's the case why don't I have a few envoys go to the Lu Clan and they can donate some of our beans. It really is the littest we could do."

Lu Snow began to cough up some of the food she was eating. She wildly pounded on her chest as she tried to drink some of the wine at the table. "YOU'D WHAT!!" she wildly yelled.

Feng Xia lifted up her hands "it's really nothing!"

"But you have such a heavy lock on it. Why would you give it away so easily?"

Feng Xia shrugged "and? I decided to give it to a friend, it really isn't a big deal!"

Lu Snow sat back down "fine, it would be rude of me to refuse a gift given to me by the Matriarch herself."

White flashes across the view of the memory. The area tears and static fills the void. The memory jumps to another segment.

Lu Snow and Lu Bi walk up to the gates of the Skysoar College. Lu Snow turns to look at Lu Bi "a year ago they shooed us away. Now we are going to get in, then we rule the place!"

Lu Bi nodded then they pushed open the heavy doors to college. Once they entered the college they were greeted by a proctor. He grumbled under his breath "ugghh why do they put me in charge of this every year!"

He lifts his hand up and leads the new recruits to the testing area. The entire test area was enclosed in a separate subspace all on its own! This was within the Skysoar spirit treasure. The Skysoar Major world! "Enough gawking! The test is simple, just reach our headquarters within a month!"

The proctor instantly disappears, and once he does the entire area fills with bone shattering pressure. Lu Snow struggles to stand up. She covers her entire body in ice and uses a husk of ice to move her. She notices that Lu Bi hasn't stood up yet. Lu Snow puts her hand on Lu Bi, she slowly looks up and notices Lu Snow. "Come now, now's not the time to give up!"

Lu Bi begins to stand up on her own, then they start to run to the capitol. No matter how fast they ran to the giant headquarters, they never got closer. As soon as they reached the Skysoar Major world they could see the headquarters and it covered the sky and the sun was totally eclipsed.

Both Lu Bi and Lu Snow continued to rush forward with little to no resistance. The closer they got the heavier the pressure they felt. Reaching the World level was merely a prerequisite. If one had that they still had a ten percent chance of victory. So they were able to actually make it. It took about an hour before the first hurdle arrived.

A beast that was around a hundred meters in length appeared in front of them, Lu Bi stopped in her tracks "go along Snow!"

Lu Snow stopped too "not without you friend."

Lu Snow drew a sword out of nowhere and coated it in a thin film of ice.

"[First dance, Hidden snow]"

A stream of snow shot out from the tip of her blade and smashed apart the beast's body. Lu Snow had reached the World level in the Dao of the Sword and the Dao of Ice, so killing this beast was nothing. "Come lets go!"

They continued forward slowly making progress, every hour they were attacked by stronger and stronger beasts. At one point only Lu Bi and Lu Snow survived. When they started over three hundred challengers were there. After about three weeks they were a kilometer away from reaching the headquarters. When they arrived there were three hundred guards. One for each competitor. Teamwork wasn't implied but for two people to fight them all!

This was the final hurdle. The pressure made it hard for them to even move, let alone fight. Lu Bi was looking at the crowd and slowly laughed "heh they really think that much can stop us, tell me kid how far in the Dao of Ice are ya~"

Lu Snow chuckled a little "far enough that these schmucks don't scare me!"

She walked forward slowly and took off her fur coat revealing the clothes she had underneath. It was exactly like Lu Bi's they had trained for so long it's only natural. Lu Bi began to walk forward as well. "You take the left, I'll take the right!"

Lu Snow smiled "fine let's just get this done!"

A dark figure jumped out from a perch "ahah I knew you'd make it this far" a sinister voice filled the area.

"YOU!!"

Netherjade cracks an ugly smile "did ya miss me Snowflake!"

Lu Snow turns into a blip as he meets him face to face. She swings her leg and smashes it against his face. Netherjade lifts up his arm just in time and blocks the blow.

BOOOOOOOM!!!!!

A blast of pressure blows everyone back; several guards are sent flying. Lu Snow cracks a smile and instantly grows six arms and three heads. While she was at the Fangtooth Sect they gave her several manuals. She received a few divine abilities including this technique. Instead of arms made of ice these were real arms formed from divine energy. She drew six swords and a set of Raijin drums appeared behind her. Lu Snow smiled "I have a little surprise for you!"

The swords she drew appeared normal except they had intricate runes carved into them. Each of her six arms slammed a sword into a drum. Each time she beats into the drum a blast of lightning charges down to Netherjade.

A cold bolt of lightning comes crashing down Netherjade was barely able to dodge the bolt of lightning. However when the bolt clears a pillar of ice was left behind. Netherjade got a closer look at the swords in her hands. "Huh what's this? You never seem to disappoint Snowflake!"

The swords in her hands started to shrink and change shape. The six blades started to shrink and the blade turned into a claw then there was no blade to speak of. They had intricate carvings. They started to turn into gold and the hilt became a gold color. The pommel also turned into hawk -like claws. They slowly became dorje thunderbolts. When Lu Snow flicked her wrists again they turned into a stream of lightning that poured from the mouth of the blade.

She charged forward to meet Netherjade. His face became ugly to behold "she's reached the World level in three different Daos just what kind of monster is this? Is she even human."

She turned mad the more she looked at Netherjade. She used each of the dorje thunderbolts to smack against the drums on her back.

BANG!!! BANG!!

SMACK!!! BANG!!

BANG!!

SMACK!!

The drums rang loudly as she beat on the surface of the drums. Six bolts of lightning came crashing down as they smashed across the battlefield. Those six bolts turned into thirty-six streams of lightning. Those streams of lightning turned into 1,296 dragons made of lightning. Each of the frosty dragons soared through the skies and instantly crashed down on the soldiers. The rest of the bolts hungrily chased after Netherjade.

BOOOOOM!!!!!

BOOOOOM!!!!

The dragons smashed apart the ground turning it into a harsh icy wasteland. In an instant each of the guards died before they knew what hit them.

"Dammit they're just too fast I have to block!!!"

Netherjade stopped in his tracks and covered himself in several layers of ice. He released his Dao frantically trying to stop the dragons made of lightning. Once the dragons entered the frosty dome their speed dropped dramatically. Instead of traveling at light speeds they were 'merely' moving as fast as sound!

The dragons wouldn't stop until they hit Netherjade! Soon hundreds of dragons made of lightning crash upon the shields that Netherjade produced.

CRACK!!!

SNAP!!!

"ARGHHHHH DAMNIT ENOUGH OF THIS!!!"

Netherjade had a portion of his body missing. His eyes were bloodshot and he had become mad. Slowly his body started to regenerate bones sprouting from his missing limbs. Nerves covered the bone then intertwined with veins. Muscle was waved over the rest of it which skin was neatly knitted over. He looked like a mad man "Lu Snow, Lu Snow…. I should have killed you when I had the chance!"

"Stop this rivalry!"

Netherjade turned his head and saw a towering figure peering over him. "P-Patriarch!"

The leader of the Skysoar College had come in person! He kindly looked at Lu Snow then waved for her to come. Lu Bi and Lu Snow started to make their way over to the Patriarch. Lu Snow lifted her hand up and looked at the sunrise overhead. When the sun shined on the ice it made a delicate light show that made Lu Snow feel a sense of longing. She had felt as though there was a greater beyond then what she was seeing now.

"Lu Snow, Lu Bi you both showed yourselves very well today congratulations!"

The Patriarch motioned his hand over to Lu Snow "I noticed something during your fight, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. I don't intend to reveal all of your secrets, and so I shall let you choose a Taoist title now!"

Lu Bi slapped Lu Snow's back "good job kid!"

She smiled at Lu Bi then looked at the Patriarch "I think I know what my name shall be!"

The Patriarch shot a side eye "then what shall you pick?"

Lu Snow sighed "my name shall be Icedawn, let it be known that I am the Frozen Immortal"

He smiled, "That is a fine name, come you two let's start your training!"

The memory begins to cut and skip, parts of the memory start to tear and break apart. A cascade of memories pass by in less then a second.

… .…."Usurp the th---e? Ha, hwy n'odt oyu rty ti?!".................... ...........

... ....."F--G -IA, LU -I!!!! ---HER, F---ER!!!!"...............

The memory starts to turn hazy as it begins to jump around piece to piece. It kept jumping till it reached a stable memory. This was her last one!

"Queen Mother, they have arrived!"
