CH 6 : Artificer

The moment he entered his sea of conciousness, the whole place looked unfamiliar to him and not how he hoped it would look like since in the books its described as an empty sea or ocean. Yes he could see the sea but where did this island come from?

Yes, there was an island in his sea of conciousness as he looked around finding on how to reach it, he magically found himself on the island.

"What?" He was surprised on how it happened,' I only thought about reaching it and I was already on it' So maybe this place works on what I think, 'mmm well i'll think about it later, first lets check the inheritance the senior left me'

He started walking toward the center of the island where he found a nine storied pagoda quietly floating a little above the ground.

As he slowly approached the pagoda, he could faintly see a bunch of words floating above the entrance.

" This contains all the information I've accumulated my entire, from arts to skills to common life knowledge. I've made it to correspond to a certain cultivation making it impossible for you to open all the layers unless you have the necessary level needed and also watch out for the other side of the island since I don't know whats there but the aura I'm feeling is enough to pressure even me. Cultivate well my apprentice until I'm back."

As he read the latest word, the information magically disappeared and the front door to the pagoda was opened.

He slowly jumped up to reach inside and was nearly frightened to death by what he saw. Unlike the common nature of the inside of a pagoda he was expecting, he came face to face with a magnificent interior divided into 4 segments, each looking like a symbol. One was an image of a scroll, another an image of a hammer, the third an image of what looked like a cultivation mat so he guessed that was where he should cultivate and lastly. he saw an image a serpent revolving a plant stalk.

He slowly moved closer to the hammer column and placed his hand upon it in a bid to get a reaction from it. The moment his hand touched the column, it burst into a bright light before new words came to view.

" As expected of an apprentice I choose myself to think you were attracted to this profession. Well its not surprising considering our race has a hard time keeping energy locked and focused, which is why we never had accomplished alchemists or array masters of our own in history."

"What do you mean by that, master?" Questioned Qin Tianxan perplexed by his masters choice of words clearly not understanding their meaning.

" Well, our race the heaven devouring wolves have an innate affinity for takin in energy and spreading it across our body, so the process of concealing pills without wasting the pills' energy or the making of an arrays' energy contained inside an area without absorbing the energy instinctively was a problem to begin with in the first place." explained Wu Weiping.

" So I opted for another option aside from those two, a way to harness and contain energy without us absorbing it by mistake or accidentally."

" And did you find it master?"

" Yes, the only way out for our race to make things was through weapon making or also known as an artificer. The way of creating powerful weapons by imbuing qi inside them and giving spirituality is an art as old as its cousins - alchemy and array making. " described Wu Weiping.

" Since ancient times, weapons have been classified in different grades or levels of power by measuring their spirituality. They were divided into three segments; offensive, defensive or support weapons or artifacts. They were further subdivided into normal grade weapons, spirit grade weapons, earth grade weapons and finally heaven grade weapons, this is all you need to know for now as the rest won't help you currently."

" So I sought out teachers or masters to teach me this art and when I was finally accomplished enough I left out on an inheritance search. On all the final sightings and resting places of the ancient artificers in a quest to learn something more than simple weapon making, I nearly succeeded in a certain event but thats all for later. This column here gives you all the knowledge you may need to create weapons until the earth grade including the methods on how to make them or how to perfect them or even repair them."

" The other columns give different things than this one; the scroll column contains my personal cultivation techniques and all martial skills and techniques until a martial grandmaster, the cultivation mat image contains a room I created to make it easier for you to understand and comprehend techniques better and finally the wildlife image contains all the life skills you may need, from what kind of ores you use for maki g weapons to magical herbs to look for to dangerous demon beasts to watch out for and since that's the most comprehensive of them all, I'll suggest you leave it for later when absorbing them and with that farewell, you won't see me unless you reach the second level."

After finishing what he said, he slowly dispersed into the air as if he never there. Qin Tianxan once again closed in on the columns, starting with the artificer one and slowly placed his hands on.
