"I'm sorry we had to sedate him. He kept trying to leave, he wouldn't allow us to stitch up any of his wounds but he will be fine with lots of rest." The doctor said looking at Quinn with pity in his eyes.
"Do you know when he will wake up?" I asked trying not to lash out at the old man with grey hair coming out of nose and ears.
"He will wake up in about an hour or so... He kept screaming about finding his sister... poor guy." The doctor mumbled to himself leaving the room.
I ran my hands through my blonde hair. Keep it together Dimitri, you have to stay calm for Anya's sake I told myself while Ace paced back and forth in the hospital room.
I sat down in a chair in front of Quinn's bed. "Come on Quinn we need you to wake up please." I said to Quinn with desperation. The same police officer at the gym came into the room and shut the door behind him.
Now that I got a better look him. He looked like your every day average guy, short brown hair and eyes, average height, weight, and looks just plain out average.
"Excuse me sorry to interrupt." He looked at me and Ace for few moments like he was studying a porn magazine. He must be wondering if we had anything to do with this. I know that's part of his job to suspect everyone but still it pisses me off.
"We followed a blood trail from your gym to a block away, we believe the significant amount of blood we found belongs to your brother only." I could tell Ace was intimidating the police officer as he spoke.
"Where is my sister?" Ace whispered with a very deadly voice that made the hairs on my arm stand.
I shook the fear away and got in between them both when I notice the police officer took a step back.
"Ace calm down! You can't help Anya if your behind bars for insulting an officer!" The murderous look in Ace's eyes disappear when I yelled at him back into reality. Ace looked away with his jaw clamped shut.
"Sorry.. I didn't mean to scare you. I'm just.. worried about Anya." Ace said to me with a apologetic tone but his eyes were still dark.
"We are doing everything we can to find your sister. I came to talk to Quinn to see if he could give me anymore details but I'll just come back later when he is awake just give me a call when he wakes up." He gave me a card with his number on it and I thank him as he left. I looked at Ace trying to word my words carefully.
"You need to control your temper. I know how you feel I want her back too." I gulped fighting the tears that were threatening to fall out.
"But beating up everyone we come across that's trying to help is not going to help Anya." I told Ace sternly.
"I couldn't hold on to her." We both turned our heads toward Quinn's bed as he looked at us with tears running down his face. We both ran to the bed and looked down at him.
"What do you me you couldn't hold on?" I asked Quinn kneeling down in front of him when Ace ask, "Who attacked you and Anya? Who took her?" Quinn shook his head with more tears falling down his face.
"W-we were trapped an-and the hole above us s-sucked her in I-I couldn't hold on." Quinn said shacking.
"Quinn your not making any sense." I said trying to wrap my head around what he was saying.
"The w-wind trapped us in." Quinn cover his eyes with is left hand.
"We w-were surrounded by a b-barrier of wind but it was calm in one place, with a hole above our heads I know it sounds crazy but. ." Quinn said with frustration his lip quivering. I replayed the words Quinn kept saying in my head. It sounds like. . no that's impossible.
I looked beside me and I could tell Ace wasn't comprehending to what Quinn was saying. "Quinn.. was the hole you saw a perfect round black circle?" I asked fearing the answer. Quinn dropped his hand away from his eyes and looked at me with shock.
"How did you know?" Quinn answered with a puzzled look.
I could feel the blood drain from my face. No.. god please no.
"Dimitri what's wrong, did you figure out something?" Ace asked studying my face.
"I think I know where Anya may be." I said hoping that I am wrong. If I am right we may never see Anya again.
