Chapter 17 - Anya

I could feel Blaze's eyes on me from a cross the room as I dropped off two cups of hot tea at a table. I smiled and bowed my head like Blaze showed me two weeks ago. Both men at the table blushed and said their thanks and I walked back behind the counter where Blaze rushed up to me.

"Your doing an amazing job Anya. A lot better then I expected." Blaze said smiling ear to ear.

"Thanks I'm just happy I could help and it keeps my mind occupied." I said grinning back at her. It's been two weeks since I been here and I still haven't found any clues to how to get home. I have already realized this is not my world. Which I should have gone bat shit crazy but oddly I feel fine which makes me a little on edge.

When Blaze took me to the spot where they found me. I saw a fucking snake with eight legs! I mean it was huge and it moved so much faster then a snake on its belly! Blaze told me all the snakes look like that. It didn't take long for me to want to return to the shop. The creatures of this world are terrifying.

Blaze told me to watch out for the man eating wolves that are supposably 8 feet tall. Apparently they keep to themselves as long as you leave them alone but just thinking about the creatures out there makes the hair on the back of my neck stand.

Just as I shook off those thoughts. Three drunk men came stumbling into the tea shop giggling like a bunch of school girls. I could see Blaze tense up in the corner of my eye.

"What's wrong?" I tilted my head to the side watching Blaze narrow her eyes at them.

"Those men are guards of the palace. I'll handle them. I just hope they eat and leave without any trouble." I couldn't help but notice the fear in her voice that she tried to hide.

"Hey it's okay I'll go take care of it." I smiled patting her back to reassure her that everything was going to be okay and I walked around the counter before Blaze could stop me.

"Wait Anya!" Blaze said in panic trying to grab me but failed miserably. I ignored her and worked my way over to the three drunk men. I gave them the best lovely fake smile I could conjure up.

"Hello would you men like some tea?" I asked sweetly hating the sound of my voice when I tried to talk different. They all stopped talking and looked up at me. I could tell they were taking me in and I could see their eyes starting to fill with lust, I couldn't help but flinch back a little. 'Yuck how gross', it took all my strength not to make a dirty face at them. Finally the biggest guy smiled back at me.

"Yes my dear we would love some tea." He said slurring his words looking at me from head to toe which gave me the shivers. I did my best to hide the disgust from my face and bowed my head.

I turned away about to head back behind the counter when he grabbed my wrist, "but first why don't you stay and keep us company." He smiled again but this time I couldn't help but notice how yellow his teeth were and he smelled of rotten meat. I yanked my wrist away from him still trying to keep the fake smile plastered on my face.

"I'm sorry but I am working I'll bring you your tea." I said sharply not waiting for any of them to respond as I rushed away from them.

How disgusting, I thought Blaze said they were guards not butchers and has he never heard of a damn toothbrush. I was so deep in thought that I didn't even notice two more customers come in as I was pouring three cups of hot tea.

Blaze came beside me in a hurry, "let me bring it to them. I can handle them way better then you can. The last thing we need is you making the guards go on a murder spree." Blaze said annoyed looking around the room and her eyes stopped on two men in the corner. "I didn't see them come in and I don't recognize them either. I was to busy worrying about you." Blaze sighed rolling her eyes handing me the tea pot pushing me away from the counter.

"Why don't you go see if they want any tea or food." Blaze said as she slowly walked toward those disgusting men. I'll hurry and pour their tea and go help her.

I smiled, "hello would you like some tea." I asked sweetly looking at them both. Now that I got a better look at both of them they are very handsome and I can't help but notice how clean they both are compared to the other men. One man had long brown hair with blue eyes and the other had long black silky hair with golden eyes. They were both breath taking but I don't have time to admire their looks Blaze may need me. The brown hair man nodded his head and I pour them their tea but behind me I heard Blaze cry.

"Please let me go I-I have to get back to work." Blaze shouted but the men just chuckled ignoring her words as he forced her into his lap. I couldn't help but see red at that moment. I slammed the tea pot on their table and was about to go give those dirt bags a piece of my mind. When the man with brown hair spoke.

"Little miss I would stay out of that if I was you. They will get bored of her and let her go but if you go over their you will provoke them even more. You may even get hurt." He said with boredom sipping on his tea not even caring that Blaze was being harassed by those guards who are suppose to be protecting their people not harming them.

I narrowed my eyes, "With all do respect mister. It none of your damn business if I want to help my friend or not. I am not going to stand here like a coward as they do as they please with her." I said spitting out those words like they are fire on my tongue not caring what I sound like or who heard me. He choked on his tea as I stormed away from him and I made the comment 'don't let the door hit you on the way out' as I stomped my way over to Blaze.
