I was pacing back and forth in the living room. Quinn was sitting on the couch watching the front door. "What's taking him so long?" I growled gritting my teeth. I stopped pacing and plotted onto the couch next to Quinn who had his arms crossed bouncing his foot up and down.
I kept glancing at my watch on my wrist, getting more impatient by the minute when I caught a glimpse of Quinn's scars on his forarm. I tried to look elsewhere but my eyes kept wandering back to the scars, normally he wears long sleeves to cover them.
Just looking at the scars reminded me of the blood curdling cries coming from his room in the middle of the night from the terrible nightmares he had. For the longest time he wouldn't sleep for days on end until me and Dimitri told him we would be leaving him behind if he didn't straighten himself out. He didn't take that to lightly but the screams stopped and he started sleeping again but now he doesn't even speak to us anymore unless it's necessary.
I sighed, "how is your arm doing?" I asked him trying to create conversation. At first I thought he was ignoring me. He didn't even look in my direction when he spoke. "Its fine," Quinn said flatly.
He has been distant but I can't say much, we all have been distant from each other. I wanted to say more to him but all of a sudden the front door opened and slammed shut.
Both me and Quinn jumped up at the same time. Dimitri came in undoing his black silky tie. "Sorry I'm late, I got stuck in traffic." Dimitri said unbuttoning his white button up shirt.
"Dude, do you really need to get undress in front of us?" I asked Dimitri in disgust looking away from him before he started undoing his pants.
"Yes deal with it, anyways did you get everything packed in the car?" Dimitri asked putting on a black T-shirt and a pair of blue jean's that was laying on the recliner.
"Yeah everything is done, we were just waiting for your slow ass." I said annoyed, I wasn't trying to pick a fight but damn he pisses me off some times.
"Fuck off Ace, I got here as fast as I could." Dimitri snapped glaring at me. "Both of you stop bickering and let's go," Quinn said harshly as he walked to the front door. "Fine," we both said at the same time glaring at each other. I grabbed my keys and jacket walking to the front door. I waited until Dimitri came out and locked the door behind me.
We may never see this place again but I don't think any of us care as long as we get Anya back. Just a few more days and we will be able to see her beautiful face again.
All I want is for things to go back to normal. To see Dimitri flirting with anything that wore a skirt, to see Quinn blushing when someone looked at him for to long, and to see Anya laughing and smiling. I'll do anything to get all that back but for now we are stuck at being at each other's throats, I guess that is to be expected. We are struggling to keep it together but we can't afford to stop, we have to keep moving forward.
All three of us got into the car taking one last glance at our parents old house. "Once we take off there is no turning back." I said firmly looking at Quinn in the rear view mirror and Dimitri in the seat beside me. Neither one of their eyes wavered. "Good," I said nodding my head putting the car in drive.
