I could tell Lucy needed a good crying to let all her emotions out that she has been holding back for a while. She finally pulled herself together wiping away the last bit of tears.
"Sorry about that, you really remind of Poppy and I just couldn't hold back. Please, forgive me my Lady." Lucy said bowing her head.
"No please don't apologize, you did nothing wrong. By the way could you please call me Anya." I said patting her head smiling down at her. She was contemplating looking around the room.
I giggled rustling up her hair, "please it would make me feel so much more comfortable." I said giving her a real smile for the first time since we met. Her eyes widen and she blushed nodding her head.
"As you wish my La. . I mean Anya." Her blush deepened and I couldn't help but laugh. She is so cute. Lucy shook my hand of her head sulking, "I'm not a little girl you know, I'll be fourteen in a year. I'm practically a woman already." She pouted pointing her finger at me taking a defensive stance. I couldn't help but laugh even harder holding my stomach.
My laugh was cut short when a wave of dizziness hit me. I had to lean my hand against the bed pillar to support myself up. Lucy rushed to my side, "Anya! Are you okay?" She asked peering into my face with a worried expression. I tired not to worry her and gave her the best smile I could conjure up.
"I'm fine I just need some food." I said weakly closing my eyes trying to calm the dizziness. Me laughing like that must have burned the last bit of energy I had.
"I'll go get you some food right away." Lucy said in a panic but I grabbed her arm before she could leave the room. If she leaves the room now it will ruin my plan to escape.
"No please stay." I said a little to fast and eagerly. She gave me a suspicious look and I let go of her arm immediately, "I mean I need help. . Umm. . putting on that dress. Can you please help me?" I asked her sweetly batting my eyes, "I'm really cold just being wrapped in this wet towel you know." I said awkwardly rubbing the back of my neck smiling.
I'm not the best liar but their was a little truth behind my words, I am cold and I do need help putting on that dress. Lucy studied my face a little longer and then broke into a smile.
"I can't wait to do your hair and makeup. The young Master will be very happy to see you so I'll do my best to bring out all your beauty." Lucy said jumping up and down with joy.
"Yay. . awesome. . can't wait to met him." I said trying to sound enthused. "Well. . you wont be able to met him until later tonight. Right now he is in a very important meeting but I'll make sure to inform him as soon as possible." Lucy said taking my hand leading me to what looked like a dressing table.
I don't know why I didn't notice this in the room earlier but I was little preoccupied with you know, waking up in a strange place and stuff, I said to myself sarcastically.
"Come sit, let's start on your hair." Lucy said pulling the chair out for me to sit in. I sat down looking at my reflection in the mirror. I still had dark circles under my eyes but at least I didn't look as atrocious as I did before.
My lips weren't dry and cracked anymore if anything they looked more plump than they usually are.
"Oh my gosh, that ointment you used on my lips did wonders! My lips look amazing!" I shouted happily touching my soft lips.
"What's in that medicine?" I asked Lucy who was laughing at me. "What? What's so funny?" I asked trying to figure out what I said to make her laugh.
"You are funny, you get excited over the smallest things it's really funny." Lucy said teasingly. "Your one to talk." I whispered under my breath. "What was that?" Lucy asked brushing the knots out of my hair.
"Oh nothing, anyways what's in that ointment again?" I asked trying to change the subject but also cause I was still curious.
"It's called Molovici, it's a plant that was blended into a paste. It can heal small scrapes and bruises within a few hours." Lucy said nonchalantly.
"Oh wow, I wish we had plants like that were I'm from. I could use that stuff for all the times I manage to hurt myself." I said jokingly not realizing I just admitted that I'm not from around here.
"Oh I never heard of Molovici not being able to grow in certain areas. Where are you from?" Lucy asked curiosity pulling my hair into a loose bun. "What?" I asked surprised, I could feel my eyes widen with shock. 'Shit I just fucked up.'
"You said you wasn't from around here, so where are you from?" Lucy asked again finishing the last bit of touches to my hair.
"Oh, umm. . Some where far, you probably never heard of it. Hey, you know I love the way you are doing my hair its simple yet elegant and beautiful." I said in a rush trying to dodge her question with a compliment. At first I didn't think she was going to drop the subject but she crack a smile.
"I'm happy to hear that my L. . I mean Anya," she giggled. "Okay lets start on your makeup." She said turning my head towards her. I wanted to sigh with relief but instead I just gave her a small smile. She picked up a small circle container that had some white chunky powder in it. It kinda reminded me of cottage cheese.
"What is that stuff?" I couldn't help but wrinkle my nose in disgust. Lucy gave me a soft chuckle, "it's makeup to hid your dark circles under your eyes." Lucy said dipping a small brush into it.
I closed my eyes waiting for the nasty stench to hit my nose but it never came. Apparently it was odorless but it was cold like ice as she smeared it on my face.
I kept my eyes closed as she did the rest of my makeup, not really wanting to see or know what she was putting on my face. I mean I haven't worn makeup since I found out that lip stick was made out of whale blubber. For all I know the makeup she's putting in my face could be way worse then whale blubber and I'm not in the mood for anymore nightmares but I have to admit it actually feels really nice to be pampered for once.
As I was thinking this Lucy let out a gasp. "What? What's wrong?" I asked worried looking around the room for danger but she was just staring at me.
"What? Do I look terrible in makeup or something? I don't normally wear makeup so I wouldn't be surpr..." I stopped talking when I looked at myself in the mirror. I let out a gasp as well, I was beautiful.
She didn't put a lot of makeup on me but the little bit she did enhanced every feature on my face including my gray eyes. I couldn't tell I was wearing makeup it looked so natural but I never seen my face glow like this.
"You have an amazing talent Lucy, I look gorgeous! Thank you I haven't looked this good ever." I said admiring every detail she did.
Lucy blushed, "thank you Anya but I don't deserve such praise this is all I know how to do. I still need a lot of practice." Lucy said shyly looking down at her feet.
"Hey give yourself some more credit will ya. I love it and that's all that matters right?" I said giving her a sweet smile.
She let out a sigh of relief, "yeah your right. . Thank you." She said grinning and clapped her hands together.
"Okay come on let's put on that dress so I can get you some food." Lucy said in her cheerful singing voice.
I nodded my head and got up droping the towel at my feet. My naked body was exposed to Lucy who just stared at my breast.
"Hey stop staring!" I yelled covering my breast with my arms feeling the blood rush to my face. Lucy's face also became beet red and she turned her head to the side.
"Sorry I-I was just curious. I don't have breast like you. . So I just wanted to know what they looked like that's all." Lucy said in a hurry fidgetting with her fingers.
I couldn't help but burst out laugh, "your still a growing girl just give your body some time." I said teasingly but yet in a serious manner.
"Yeah I know I'm just tired of looking like a little girl." Lucy said annoyed puffing out her cheeks which made her look even more like a little girl.
I tried to hold in my laughter when my stomach started growling again and a wave of dizziness hit me even harder then the first time. This time I hit my knees holding my stomach tight.
"I really need food." I whispered closing my eyes tight trying to control my breathing. I could hear Lucy yelling my name but she sound so far away. Breathe Anya breathe, I kept repeating those words inside my head when the pain and dizziness finally subsided.
I slowly looked up to see Lucy crying and shacking, "I need to get you a doctor." Lucy said in a panic but I grabbed her arm tight holding her in place. I still needed some time to recover before I can trust myself to speak. I took a big gulp of fresh air and another and another until I felt a little better.
"I'm okay I promise, please. . don't leave me here naked." I said trying to smile but I knew my smile looked strained. I just need to keep her here a little bit longer.
"Fine only cause arguing with you will only waste more time to get you something to eat." She said sounding displeased. I slowly got back up on my feet while Lucy brought the dress to me.
After a few minutes of touches here and there the dress was finally on my body. The dress match my hair and it was sexy but not to sexy as it hugged the curves on my body perfectly. The whole front of my body was covered but when I turned around there was nothing but bare back and when I started walking the dress split open revealing my long legs.
To me I think I look like an average girl not to pretty not to ugly but for the first time ever I thought I looked stunning like an ice princess or something. I thought to myself smiling at my reflection.
"You know this dress really suits you. I didn't like it at first cause I thought it was to simple but you changed my mind. I actually really like it on you." Lucy said shocked looking me up and down.
"You ever heard the saying 'less is more'?" I asked Lucy teasingly and my stomach started growling again but this time their was no pain or dizziness, thank goodness. Lucy heard my stomach growling and she gave me a concerned look.
"Okay I'll be right back. What ever you do don't leave this room. Their are only a handful of people who know you are here and I don't want you getting hurt." Lucy said practically running to the doors but stopped looking back at me. I think she was waiting for me to answer.
If I don't give her an answer that she likes she might not leave and I can't allow that to happen.
"Okay I'll be right here when you get back, I promise." I said and this time I gave everything I had to pull off this smile.
Lucy studied every inch of my face for what felt like forever and she must have been satisfied with what she saw on my face cause the next think I knew she was out the door in a blink of an eye.
The moment she left I felt a sharp pain in my chest. I'm Sorry Lucy but I can't stay here. I hope you can forgive me for deceiving you. I thought to myself sadly as I waited a whole minute before I grabbed a pair of shoes and opened the door to escape the palace.
