30 minutes later.

Bai Lu Chen appeared in the living room and gasped. He was shocked to find that his mistress had fainted on the floor.

He quickly ran to her and knelt anxiously.

With a hoarse voice, he called out: "Mistress, Mistress!"

But there was no response. he placed his hand near her nose to see if she had any breath and thankfully she still had breath. She only fainted so he carried her quickly into her room.

He covered her with an orange-coloured blanket and then sat beside the bed on a chair. He quickly took out some pill bottles from his storage ring. He examined them before picking up a red bottle. He took out two green pills with red dots before keeping them all back in his spatial ring. Then he put them into Theresa's mouth. After waiting for a minute, he sighed and left the room.

Some minutes later, she slowly opened her eyes, registering her surrounding as she rose from the bed. She saw she was in her room. She clutched her chest as she sat up and gritted her teeth.

The pain she felt in her heart did not deter her from leaving the room.

She headed to the living room. Bai Lu Chen was seated and reading a book. She didn't know what it was about as she can't read Chinese yet.

"Mistress, you're awake," he stated, quickly rising and rushing to stand before her.

"Mistress... How are you feeling?" he asked in concern.

"I'm doing well," she replied.

"Mistress, come sit." he urged her and she let him help her sit.

"Where's Ju Wei? I didn't find him anywhere. Did he escape? I'm gonna find him for you. How dare he commit such an abomination?" Bai Lu Chen raged.

"He didn't escape. He was under his cursed wolf's control. When he became sober, he recalled everything and couldn't take it." Theresa explained.

"So he killed himself?"

"He aborted his cultivation and... he.... made himself a eunuch."

"What? He..."

"Why is this happening to me?" she cried. "I thought the happiness was just starting now that we'd reconciled, why did all these bad things happen today?"

"Mistress, pull yourself together. It's not the end of the world."

"I'm not weak, Bai Lu Chen. I'm crushed. It hurts a lot to see your relatives suffer so much." she placed her head on his shoulder and cried even more.

"None of us expected this to happen. What we can do now is to pray that both of them can heal and that when we all meet again, there can be forgiveness though that seems impossible." Bai Lu Chen said with a sad sigh. If he were the one violated, of course, he wouldn't forgive the person responsible no matter if it was unintentional. It's not just the pain in the a*s. The heartache, disbelief, fear, shame and humiliation along with the stigma that comes with it is something able to crush someone.

"Long Ren is straight, and Ju Wei is a cut sleeve because of a curse. But deep down he wants to have a wife and kids but just can't because he is helpless. He is as pitiful as his master. "So, if you meet her again someday, are you going to punish her?" Bai Lu Chen asked.

"I am going to tell her what happened as a result of what she did. And I'm also going to tell her that she isn't to blame as she knows nothing. Letting her know is my punishment to her but I will also comfort her. And if it's possible, I'll take her to see the both of them." Theresa replied. She wiped a tear that slid down her eye.

"Long Ren was supposed to teach me to be stronger. Now that he's no longer here. I have to entrust this task to you." she rose from her seat and suddenly dropped to her knees.

The stunned Taipan king quickly rose from the chair in panic.

"Mistress, what are you doing?"

"Theresa greetsMaster Bai Lu Chen. I pay all my due respect. Please teach me and let me be your disciple from now on." she kowtowed three times.

"This..."

"You're already my master now. I will listen to your orders from now on. I want to become stronger. I don't wish to rely on someone for life. It's not good. He sighed. "Fine, mistress. I'll teach you."

" I will call you by your name in private." Bai Lu Chen said after thinking for a while. "But out there, I'll call you Zhu Yanmei."

"Ok. I like the name you bestowed on me, master. This will be my name out there." she nodded.

"Alright. Training will begin in 3 days' time. I'm going to buy something. I may not come back today. Maybe tomorrow or the next."

"Master, what is it that you want to buy? Can't I follow you?"

"No, Theresa. It's for your own good. Take this pouch." he hands her a blue pouch from his storage ring.

"There's money in it. If you're that afraid of being alone. You can just lodge in an inn. Be careful not to cause trouble. However, if trouble can't be avoided..." he takes out a bracelet. "Smash it on the ground when you're in danger and you'll appear in this house. No one can come in here."

Theresa took the bracelet and thanked him.

"Alright, stay safe. I'll be back soon." he waved before vanishing.

Theresa sighed as she wore the bracelet.

She can't cook and she's craving food so she has to go out but not now. She had to first take a bath before going out.

"Long Ren, Ju Wei. I wish you both a quick recovery and Long Ren, if possible, I wish you can forgive Ju Wei. I pray to meet you two soon enough." she muttered as she headed towards the pool room.
