'Urgh…' Zizz slowly roused from bed and placed both hands over his face. After a little silence from him, he inspected his surrounding. He could remember a few things that happened but his memories were blurry making him unable to draw out much scene from last night.
Before him laid numerous sacks of cloths coupled with several piles of books mounted atop a reading table. On the opposite walls, countless papers with astronomical drawings were plastered and by the window beside his bed, was a teenage boy gazing outside the room through a semi-opened window.
'Good your awake now.' Vester said with a short glimpse at Zizz.
'How long?' Zizz muttered.
'Twenty hours.' replied Vester.
Zizz smoothened his greenish-black hair as he asked, 'That long?'
Vester kept staring at the outside and answering Zizz's questions, but this, he gave a casual node and narrowed his eyes at something strange outside.
'Here's my chance, he's looking elsewhere.' Vester suddenly spoke hurriedly.
'Who? Where?'
Vester had already slid the window open and was about jumping through it when he was stopped by Zizz, 'Wait, we should go together.'
Vester paused briefly before turning and narrowing his sight to meet Zizz. 'Yeah about that, you can't.'
Zizz took back his head in confusion as he asked, 'Why?'
Vester sighed and took a quick look outside after which, he shot the window entirely and spoke, 'We, actually you have a visitor. And he's not ready to leave our sight. So if you don't get rid of him there is no togetherness in this mission.' Vester articulated while gesticulating.
'Well isn't this a regular everyday problem we face… uh?' Zizz spoke casually as he dismounted his bed and approached Vester.
Vester took a look outside once more than stared back at Zizz before saying, 'That's a bit stretch of everyday problem.' he watched outside his sight once again and pointed to the shadow of a person who stood somewhere amidst the market place below their building, 'That man over there, he's been watching this block for the past ten hours. I think you really hurt his feelings.'
'Who's that?' Zizz exposed a confused look as he asked.
'Name's Dion.' Vester replied.
'Dion?' Zizz unruffled the back of his hair as he murmured the name. 'Nope, I've nothing.'
'Well, why don't you take a look.' Vester gave space for Zizz to look out the window.
Zizz stepped closer to the window and took a closer look at the man on a dark-green cloak looking up to their window.
'We can't go through the front door cus his blocking the building entrance.' Vester complained.
'You said he's been out there for ten hours.' Zizz asked in surprise again.
'Yep.'
'You think he knows about our plan tonight?' Zizz slightly became worried.
'No, he doesn't.' Vester stated firmly.
Zizz took a glanced at Vester, 'Then, what does he want?'
'You, go find out while I, go get it.' Vester insisted with an abnormal smile over his face.
'No…no, you wait for me here. When am done with him we'll go. Got that?' said Zizz as he shook his head and opened the window.
'Wait… where are you going?' Vester asked out of curiosity.
'To go find out.' Zizz ended his speech with a swift takeoff from the window.
Vester stared at the moving image of Zizz as he flipped over building roofs and shops before landing smoothly on a narrow street. Vester slowly walked towards his bed opposite Zizz and angrily sunk himself inside as he sat on it. After a while, he gazed at the papers with foreign writings and shapes written on it.
As for Zizz, he already found the man after he landed a few yards behind him.
'Ok, so let's get this straight. First with introductions. I am Zizzl–'
'–Zizzle the deflowerer.' The man spoke with disdain as he put his hood over his shoulders and casually took a turn to reveal his face.
Zizzle unexpectedly became short of words when he saw the man behind the hood. He stuttered on his speech and pointed at the man, 'D–D–Dion?'
'Yes. It is I. You thought you could run away?'
'First of all, I wasn't running and how'd you even find me?' Zizzle quickly dispelled his initial feelings and blurted out.
The man began to circle Zizz in short steps as he explained,
'You see it was difficult trying to find you but then I realised you are very… unique. There are only a few people who bear the name Zizzle and when I tried locating them I also realised I was wasting precious time. So I decided to search them through their culture. It wasn't long before I found the exact figure that matched my descriptions. Abyssal, Despicable, Contemptible, Diabolic. This, my friend, are your so-called intrinsic values!'
'Coming from you that's… very inspirational.' said Zizz with a dull face.
The man stopped his track when he got to Zizz's back and spoke, 'I am here to pass judgement for all those years passed. Now, would you follow me back to the Sixth District in piece or in shreds?'
Zizz expression became pinched after the man spoke. He began remembering memories from the past.
Sixth District.
His home town.
An illegitimate son stigmatised by everyone.
'You really have the guts showing your face here.' Zizz looked back at him and said scornfully.
'I'll take that answer as in shreds.' as the man spoke, circles made up of pure light shone just behind his cloak and disoriented the moonlight. Inside these circles were similar shapes and angles intertwining across themselves. 'Mantra of the Lapis Wall!' He suddenly exclaimed and clasped his hands.
Immediately, at the four corners of where they stood, translucent walls made of lapis light appeared from thin air and connected with themselves to gradually trap them inside a box.
Zizz saw this and snorted at Dion's display of mantra as he too moulded his fist and jammed it together to create a marigold ring that appeared three inches around his wrists.
'Let's make this clear from last time: don't mess with me!' Zizz dashed at Dion as he exclaimed his last word.
In few seconds Zizz covered the distance to Dion and made his way to Dion's abdomen with his shoulders.
Dion restrained Zizz's push as him too wrapped both hands over Zizz's waist and took Zizz up into the air.
'You have become weak Zizzle! I'll enjoy this spar before you face your retribution… Argh!'
Dion held Zizz up high while he twirled him like a wheel and then forcefully threw him towards the lapis wall.
Bam!
The wall vibrated and momentarily became unstable.
'You see Zizz, you had a better life back in Sixth District. Staying in the first only brings out your full potential… uselessness.' Dion disparagingly said as he walked to Zizz.
The moment Zizz stood up, a very strong flare of anger burnt from within him. This guy used to be way behind him in every aspect but now, he could hardly bring him to the ground. How bad did he let himself become?
'I think I should clear things up a bit for you. You see, I am now a fully pledged Sentinel of the Sixth District. Hoping to vanquish me at any cost is futile.' Dion boastfully spoke with a smirk.
'You talk too much. WHY DON'T YOU SHUT UP AND FIGHT!' Zizzle's marigold ring shone with more brilliance and he lunged a blow at Dion like a ferocious cat.
Dion calmly shut his eyes and got hold of Zizzle's fist which was few centimetres from connecting with his chin.
Bom!
There was a severe crosswind that was met with Dion's hair, blowing it in all direction even his cloak almost got torn and blown away from the impact. After which, Zizzle was astonished Dion could easily fend off the blow like it posed no threat at all.
'Impressive! Such mana… wasted on a mantra so insignificant. Let me show you how to make good use of mana when releasing it.'
Immediately, transparent mercury coloured balls circled Dion's wrist before joining together and forming a silver ring.
Dion gripped the fist Zizzle sent at him to the extent muffled sounds of countless bones could be heard breaking from within. Zizzle's eyes became widen as he suddenly guessed the next action of Dion.
Initially, the position the fist pose in was the left of Dion's chin, which he used his right hand to guard, leaving his left hand unoccupied and more than able to throw Zizzle away via midair.
This he did.
The silver ring over Dion's wrist continued to glow, making him over overconfident. After remoulding his fist, Dion sent an unforeseen blow to Zizzle's right cheek.
Bam!
It didn't end there, he continued to hit Zizzle, damaging his well calved but elongated face, not once, not twice…
Bam! Bam! Bam!
For every hit, there was blood retched out from Zizzle which could even amount to a cup of tea.
And as of now, Zizzle's left cheek was covered in weal and bumps, he had even lost some of his molars.
Crruzz!
A sudden vibration from the lapis wall disrupted Dion from finishing Zizzle.
Crruuzz!
This time, the vibration was much intense than the first one, making every object inside the box tremble.
'What the…' Dion was forced to look around after the second vibration. After surveying his prison, he noticed a very slim crack on the wall. A crack that soon travelled longer than expected until it was so visible the box was being tampered with from the outside.
Crruuzz!–Swoosh!
This third impact didn't just shake the box, it ripped it apart and a mighty chain the size of a modern train slithered through the broken wall and unto them. Dion tossed Zizz to the side and immediately expedited a quick forward flip over the oncoming chain. The chain pierced through Dion afterimage and burst open the wall behind them while Dion ran atop the moving chain before skillfully landing on the ground.
After the explosion and dissipating dust, shadows of two individuals coalesced behind the pummelling smoke. Slowly the figures stepped out and their visages became clearer.
These figures were women dressed in an armoured jade scale-mail and behind them respectively twirled two large marigold circles with stars and triangles spinning inside as it hung itself in midair.
'By the power bestowed upon us by the District Master, we command the cessation of all unauthorised actions immediately.' one of the armoured women with a running scare across her brows articulated.'
'You my friend, have violated the kingdom code 473-227 of the Ka'al Tumal Jurisdiction. Thereby you are arrested.' the other one spoke bluntly.
