Chapter 1

The glaring light entered his eyes waking him from a restless sleep. Hesitate at opening his eyes in fear of the glare he turned around first. Slightly opening his eyes now turn away from the glare and looking around at his surroundings, he was momentarily unsure of where he was but soon remembered where he was. He was sitting on his bedroll with his feet almost reaching the smouldering fire which he made last night to keep warm in such a desolate forest. A bag of supplies which was running out next to him filled with food and tools such as his lucky flint which always makes a fire when used because of a spark element that has been bonded to it, although it was a weak spark and needed renewing every three to four years. As he tried to figure out if the flint had one or two years left he heard a rustling in a nearby bush. Unnerved he packed up his camp and left as soon a possible, for who knows what manner of things were tracking him.

Walking into town he went straight to tavern looking building looking for a place to sleep and learn about where he was and how far was the capital city Khaumridge. Khaumridge was named after a hero named Khaum after he discovered a hidden valley rich in an abundance of magical resources behind a mountain full of perils for a great many beast live on the mountain, and not just normal animals but also monsters such as the trolls or goblins. After entering the tavern (which it was most certainly was with it's pungent sink of alcohol and half made food similar to other taverns on the mountain range of Khaumridge), he walked to who he believed was the keeper of the establishment and asked "I want a room and dinner, how much" the keeper than said looking at him with both anger and fear at once but quickly said 50 sliver for a night and dinner would be another ten a best". Now he was not stupid and new that the price was not fair because a night, dinner and breakfast was worth 20 sliver, but was to sleepy from his time on the road and all it's half sleeps so replied "I'm no simpleton so I going to ask tomorrow when I go to leave and will except a fair price". The keeper tried to say something but just sputtered an abundant amount of muttering of curses but was able to say "say lad what is your name"? And he froze in place.....
