36.5 Auction

"The mighty red pheonix in the past has been reborn and it's memories have been wiped. You are lucky, for now you have two pheonixes under your control." Sighing at Xuanmei's extreme luck, the blue pheonix shook his head side to side.

"It now considers you it's mother and I, it's brother, in which I rightfully am."

Blue Pheonix continued talking about his brother continuously, while Xuanmei, though, didn't seem interested.

"What should we have for lunch today as celebration?" Blue Pheonix's eyes shone as he hinted at food.

Ming's eyes sparkled. "What about hotpot?" (A: At this point of time someone tried to snatch my phone away from me, because hotpot. I was also pitifully beaten. Please give your author some support and a break from writing! T^T)

Xuanmei glared at the gluttons. "I have no money for your eating interests! Besides, there isn't even hotpot in this era. How you know of it was only through my memories."

Ming immediately brought out a piece of jade from the Pagoda.

"Is it enough to rent a shop, buy some ingredients and make broth over the fire?"

Looking at the jade as green as the finest, healthiest grass, Xuanmei grumbled, "I suppose... Especially if it's a stable source of income." looking begrudgingly while she chuckled evilly in her heart.

Before heading to the nearest town, the town of Jade, she put on her mask and immediately found a luxurious shop right in the middle of the alley.

Looking slightly ragged, the men that tended to the shop immediately disregarded her.

"I want to auction something tomorrow, please."

Totally ignored, she faked a loud sigh, before staring, 'disappointed,' at the high quality piece of jade cupped in both her hands. Successfully catching the attention of the auctioneers, they gasped as their eyes landed on the piece of jade in her hands.

"I'll pay ten taels of silver for that piece of jade! Don't put it on auction, just give it to me!"

Hearing that, Xuanmei sneered.

"Don't think you can fool me so easily. The mere colour of the jade fetches a high price. The quality? Even higher. Such a big piece, in fact, pushes the price over the roof. You still dare to lie?"

The auctioneer looked disappointed that his plan didn't work.

"Ten thousand taels of silver as starting price."

Agreeing immediately, the auctioneers got to work, putting up banners for the upcoming auction.

After leaving the jade in the auctioneer's hands, she left in search of an area to build her hotpot store.

Putting on her mask in a dark alleyway and going to a relatively small guild, she asked for twenty men to build a big sized store with a second storey.

"That'll be fifty thousand, please."

"I'll pay you tomorrow before it's even done."

The guild master looked skeptical but nodded, agreeing to the offer anyway.

Going into the Pagoda and drawing a floor plan out, she returned to the guild hours later to hand in the planning.

"So, we're really doing a shop?" Ming asked when she was drawing in the Pagoda.
