~A few moments later~Bear Corp, Weapons Testing Room of Weapons Department~
"Tom... please remove anything as dangerous as the scythe. I don't think we need everyone worrying about their safety. *Looks to Amy* Amy, please tell the other department about this and safety comes first." Amy quickly left the room.
Nick was still maintaining his clam appearance and Ruby still standing on her spot with a worried expression. Everyone behind the glass was shocked at the turn of events. Tom quickly had some people remove any weapon above a certain danger grade. Nick seeing Ruby's worried look spoke up.
"No one here will be blamed for this mishap and I won't be blaming anyone for my own decision to stand here. Let's continue as we have removed any weapon B grade and above."
Tom walked over to Nick with Amy by his side to check him.
"Are you alright, sir?"
"I'm fine. Only surprised by the sight of the scythe flying at me. Amy, has the other department been informed?" Amy took a step closer.
"Yes sir, the other chiefs have started to double-check for safety hazards."
"Good, I don't want something like this happening again. Tom go ahead and continue the demonstrates if any of the guests are willing to. I'm gonna sit down for a bit."
Nick walked over to the protective glass and sat on a chair set behind it. The other kids were already testing the weapons that were left after the previous incident. Ruby walked over to Nick, although quite slow and shyly.
"...I.I'm..sorry about the scythe being thrown at you."
"It's fine. I wasn't hurt as you can see. Here you can have this. It was something my father made but never got to use. He made it from an old movie series he loved. Be careful with it as he made it able to cut through anything, even aura. It is a dangerous weapon, so never put it near yourself. You can try using this in a bit after everyone is done."
Ruby was immediately excited about the weapon Nick had given her. The weapon Nick had just given Ruby was one of two spares he kept on his person. It was a hilt that looked very advance in appearance, but seemed to be missing the blade and had a switch near the side of it. Nick's father love his movies and recreated some of the weapons for the fun of it.
After a while of every teen trying out a weapon. Nick walked up to the front before they were finished with this department. He had everyone's attention as he turned around to face the group.
"Before we continue on this tour, I've decided to let miss Ruby here try out a different weapon as the last one was... to out of the works for this event. Now, I have given miss Ruby here,*points to Ruby nearby* a weapon made by my father. It's one of a kind as he didn't make many of these before his passing. It was a favorite of the many things he made... It was called the 'Light Saber' and he made these based off old movies that were very unique among any other. As long as one's careful, it's mostly safe and can be used for more than just attacking. It's the ability to cut through anything that makes it very useful but doubled edge. The one Ruby has is slightly different as my father made many different kinds of sabers. This one was made for a duel between humans. It can't cut through a person but anything else is still possible of being sliced. This Dueling Saber only has 3 others like it and the technology can't be recreated. I gave this one as a gift to Ruby for the mishap earlier. I was gonna save this until the end of the tour, but I've decided that throughout the time that any of your children are here, each of you gets a gift of some kind. Now I've talked for way too long as is, so I'll move aside for miss Ruby here to test her new 'Light Saber'..."
As Nick had said that, he started walking behind the protective glass as he wasn't making a mistake like last time, in case something does happen. Ruby had walked up with her Saber hilt and activated it as she was told how by Nick. The plasma blade made a sound as it was turned on and started to make a humming sound as the plasma came in contact with the air.
A testing dummy was set up a few feet from Ruby. She looked at the blade with a smile before charging the test dummy and slashing at it. Everyone could see the top half fell off and the area where Ruby had sliced it was burnt to a crisp. Nothing that was hit by the blade survived that strike.
Everyone could see why Nick had said its technology was advance as no one has ever succeeded in making quite like it. To gift such a device to a child shows that Nick had confidence in the girl to take care of it. Where he got that confidence no one knew.
"Now that we have seen shown you the usefulness of the saber in combat.*Looks to Ruby* Would you help us with a few more demonstrations?"
"Yeah! This lightsaber is awesome!"
"Thanks miss Ruby, the next two tests are to see what it can cut through and what it can't." A few workers came into the room through a pair of doors and set down some dust, and a flat sheet of metal.
"These are two of three of the test material. The last one will be a surprise. Miss Ruby if you will." Nick gestured over to the two new testing materials placed.
Ruby walked over to the dust and slowly cut it in half with the plasma blade and repeated with the metal as well.
"I said earlier that the plasma of this Saber would go through almost anything. We can now show that it won't harm a human or faunus. Miss Ruby, can I borrow this for a second?
Ruby nodded but seemed worried about what she thought Nick might do with it.
"I don't want anyone here to feel responsible if this has gone wrong, so for everyone's sake. I'll be the one to test it on."
Everyone stood up in a hurry as they were surprised by his boldness and what looked like a chance to lose his arm.
Before anyone could stop Nick as his confidence in his father's device show no hesitation. He swung the ignited blade down at his left arm and the blade stopped on his arm with no damage.
"See.. my father was a genius with making weapons."
