His expression changed to distaste and unhappiness.
~looks like it won't work, for now, he was level 62 with C WP, so still too early for me to try.~
"I am not saying now or even in months. Maybe even years. I just want to be sure that just in case something happens, the guild will help me with moving to Aurumunda."
At that time, his face got back to normal with an understanding look on it. He smiled slightly and said.
"I can understand your insecurity. As a young Fae, living alone in the Empire, for sure you wouldn't feel safe. We can talk about it later, don't worry we will not mistreat you. Now tell me some of your abilities that could be of use."
"Well, as you probably know I can enhance potential from E to D rank, and from what I read in the class description book, it will go up to A rank. As I am only level 1, I have only this skill, on level ten Potential Enhancer always gets Release Potential skill, so after it, I will be a little bit more useful.
I also have two unique skills that can help with it. Relaxing trance and relaxing massage. As you probably know, enhancing someone's potential is painful. But with both of my unique abilities, I can reduce the pain, to almost nonexistent. They also give small bonuses like well-rested and relaxed"
"So to say, you will be truly useful only at level 20 where you can increase potential from D to C.
Okay, I know that you need to level up to do so, and it will require a lot of people, so why not start with adventures with Rank E skills on them. Let's see if higher-level adventures give you more experience than lower-level. Let's start with level 1 or 2 newbies. Later, we have a bunch of mages with low ranks in those stats, so there should not be a problem for you to take some of them. After it let's try with level 10 and after it we will see how it goes, is that okay for you?"
"Great, it could not be better, I want to be useful to you."~ Let's see if it will work~ I did puppy eyes for him, but his reaction disappointed me a little, or rather it's lack.
"Let us go to Mason then, he will have a person just for you." It was all he said before standing up and going to the exit of the room while telling me to follow.
When we arrived on the 1st floor, I realized that there s not much difference from before I went to Wilbert's office. We came close to the counter, where Mason was talking with a young man. About 1.70m in height slightly muscular, with a sleeveless jacket, revealing his bare arms. There was nothing to show off but it gave him a slightly "bad boy" aura. He had a longsword on his left side near the belt and a small pouch on the right side, probably with some pocket money he took out from Guild Bank.
"Hey Mason, we need someone in the range of level from 1 to 5, to test out this guy, and of course with one of body stat potential with a rank E. Can you get one and tell him to come to the guest house number 4?" It was all Guildmaster said before showing me the way to the training ground.
It was huge, I could see a few small duelling arenas, and a field big enough to raid horses there. I could even see some people training on them. Dummies with some people hitting them with all kinds of weapons were everywhere, and a large arena probably for group battles was in the centre. There were tables with benches around us and even though the sun was setting, they were filled with adventures joking and talking with each other while drinking and eating late supper.
"Why are all those people here, not inside?" I asked, I was truly curious why.
"The weather is great, it's not raining and it's not too hot, so why would they stay inside, with limited space and no access to fresh air except a few small windows? Our guildhall may be as big as our tavern, but those are full in either summer to hide from the scorching sun or in winter to avoid frostbite. Even in the evening there are a bunch of people training or just keeping each other company. What did you expect? A bunch of people drunk all the time and staying inside just to ask for another beer?" He looked at me and smiled, with a laugh in his eyes.
"Ohh, that makes sense."I blushed a little as it was exactly what I was expecting.
"It is like that in some guilds that are not near hunting grounds."He suddenly said with a grumpy look on his face.
"Huh?"~inteligent...~
"Our guild has mountains and forest near us, so we always have something to do, either escort mission or extermination, even gathering. But in the middle land where you can't find anything to do, staying in a tavern and drinking is all those "adventurers" can do. Life like a parasite." He was truly disgusted with them from what I could hear.
"Anyway, here are guest houses, yours is number 4. It already has anti-burglar and noise-cancelling enchantments. Here is a key."He passed me a small key with a leave design on it.
"Let's check it out shall we?"
I opened the door with the number 4 on it and we entered the middle-sized house. It had 2 floors.
I could see a staircase going to the second floor on your right near a window. It had a small room on my left where there was also a small toilet inside and a shower with water enchantments inside. Was it a guest room inside a guest house?
"From your expression, I can see that you have no idea whose is this room. Most of our guests come with a team, they stay in the tavern, but the main guest always keeps one or two bodyguards and assistants with them. This is one of their rooms. The main bedroom is upstairs together with another small room. Downstairs you have a cellar, you can use it however you want. On this floor there is a small kitchen, in case they want to cook their food. And the small garden with concealment barrier and noise-cancelling enhancements, so bodyguards can train there and nobody will peek at their fighting style. The living room is right near the kitchen, where you have a table for six and a couch with a coffee table in front of it. We will bring you all the necessary items this week. It's too late for supper so I hope you are not hungry." I looked outside, and yes it was already dark.
"Breakfast is served from seven to eleven in the morning. Don't miss it. Soon an adventurer from Mason will come, and as it's already late I hope you could allow them to use the bed here, not to go back to the tavern or hotel or wherever they sleep. After breakfast, you should come to my office and tell me about your progress. Good night Neo and good luck with your first client. Guild will pay for them."
After he closed the door I remembered that we did not discuss the price of my services, only the discount...
After I put my backpack with miserable 5 silver coins inside I changed clothes to more comfortable ones, and put travel clothes into the basket. I looked for a good place to take clients, and I realized that there isn't anything like this.
~ I would need a massage table from the earth, it would be the easiest for me to use. For now, I will have to do with a normal bed, let's use a small room upstairs and tomorrow I will mention it to the guild master to install one in my cellar. I will make it my workplace.~
As I was walking around to check all nooks and crannies of the house I heard a doorbell.
~oh… I forgot that my first client is coming… great start~
Outside I saw a young man from before, the one with a sleeveless jacket
"Hello, I am Mark, and I will be your first customer."
