Comforting Kleila

Kleila kept crying throughout the journey and not to talk about the night before it. She didn't even know how she made it to the Empress  mother's home or even how she got to the ship but she does know one thing, she feels so heartbroken.

She tried comforting herself with the thought that the Emperor doesn't even like her in that way but that made her cry more.

Dae-Du tried engaging her in a conversation but she refused to pay attention to anything he has to say.

"You need to eat something Kleila." Dae-Du plead while looking at her pitifully and sadly but still yet Kleila refused.

"If you don't die of too much crying, you'd die of hunger and over what ..the Emperor, it's not like he's even going to marry one consort, he'd have Six and ten concubines."

"What.. why did you do that for? Dae-Du asked when Kleila hit him on the hand.

"Stop teasing me." Kleila said still looking sad but she's no longer crying and this made Dae-Du happy ..for he feared the young woman would die of hunger and the fact that she's so skinny isn't helping.

Kleila accepted the piece of bread Dae-Du gave her and begin to eat it, followed by another and another before asking for water.

For some time, the two of them just stare into space ..mostly Kleila who's lost in thought, while Dae-Du is looking at the bright blue sky.

Dae-Du brought them out in hope that the bright sky will cheer Kleila up when Kleila wouldn't stop crying and although it didn't cheer her up like he had hoped but at least she has stopped crying.

Dae-Du began to look at Kleila as if he's trying to figure something about her out.  "Seriously Kleila, why are you so sad?" Dae-Du asked still looking at her but Kleila didn't answer him, instead she asked.

"Is it true that the Empress found mother?.

Dae-Du looks at her sadly and shakes his head no.

"Mother doesn't want me home." Kleila said slowly and from her tone you'd know this subject makes her sad.

Dae-Du grab Kleila hand to comfort her but their hands were separate due to the ship suddenly shakes. Kleila looked up at the sky but looked back down because she saw the light of a lightning and immediately after that, the loud rumbling sound of thunder breaks out and then suddenly it began to rain and thunder continuously. This took Kleila and Dae-Du by surprise because there wasn't any sign that show's it was going to rain, it happened suddenly ..both the thunder and the hard wind.

Dae-Du and Kleila begin smiling as they pack their things and run inside so that the rain won't drain them.

When they got inside their cabinet, Kleila told Dae-Du that she didn't sleep last night and she would love to do that after she changed ..so Dae-Du left the room to give Kleila some privacy.

"I will be at the beer parlor if you need me." He said before exiting and closing the door behind him.

After Kleila had changed into a new clothing, she climb on the bed and fell asleep instantly.

Dae-Du sat on a stool and order for a beer, he was on his second round when he heard the evacuation signal, at first he thought he counted it wrong but no ..he was sure it was seven short horn blasts followed by one long horn blast.

"This only mean one thing." He murmured to himself so terrified.

"The captain and crew are telling us to start evacuating!" He yelled out loud and begin to run to the deck but then he remember Kleila.

He started running back towards their shared cabinet but the panicked crowd didn't make it easier for him.

"You're going to your death, that side is now covered with water." A running man yelled at him but he still kept going while shouting Kleila name.

"Kleila! Kleila come out!!" He yelled panicking because he reached the point where he couldn't walk, instead he has to swim and he doesn't know how to swim.

"Kleila!! Kleila.! He yelled continuously, his hands on his head ..he began to cry while looking at the passage that leads to the room where Kleila is still sleeping hopelessly. He stood there and he wouldn't have moved if one of the crew hadn't lead him to the deck where he and other passenger awaits their turn to enter a lifeboat.
