Clichés 17: To Be Happy With What's In Her Hands

The clock ticked loudly on the wall as the two women remained silent in the living room. Kim maintained a mischievous smile on her face, while Yanee blinked several times as if having a hard time absorbing the story she just heard. A few more minutes passed before the latter finally recovered. 

"Wow, that was unexpected," Yanee commented, as she reached out to the table to switch off the recording pen. "You were not kidding when you said it's mind boggling like Big Sis Ria's story."

"Ah, no, I was just kidding you. No other story can topple Ria's crazy dual personality disorder," Kim said with a chuckle. "Henry's amnesia is crazy, though." 

"He really could not remember anything about you when you were both at the orphanage and when you grew up and he married you?" Yanee asked and Kim's eyes twinkled.
