Jasiel looks at Martell as his father talks to him. He then looks at Vulir talking to his mother. He sighs his parents are interrogating them.
"Sonnnnnnnn~ How about you marry Vulir? He is going to be your partner in battle might as well right?" His mother teases Jasiel. Hella gives a big smile as she looks at Jasiel.
"Mother no I just met Vulir recently and I don't know if I even love him. I will never marry without any lingering love" Jasiel states firmly. Vulir nods in agreement he would never force anyone.
"Awe I was talking with Vulir and he seems like such a good boy! It'd be wonderful if he became my son too! Then I will be able to gloat that my son and my son in law are the greatest! The ladies will be so jealous that I would have had such a wonderful pair" Hella says wistfully. Azriel chuckles at his wife's antics. Martell looks in amusement he never thought the esteemed family would be childish. His family is pretty strict and have to follow a set of rules.
"Son you can marry whoever you want don't listen to your mother" Azriel comforts Jasiel while ruffling his son's hair.
"Of course father!" Jasiel responds softly he really likes this world. He has family and they love him.
"Jasiel I should be heading back," Martell says as he gets up to leave.
"Oh alright I'll see you in class then" Jasiel responds quickly. Martell nods in agreement before heading out.
"Awe bye Martell come visit again" shouts Hella as he leaves. Azriel nods in agreement with his wife.
"Vulir want to have dinner with us or do you need to go to?" Hella asks curiously towards Vulir.
"I'll stay I have nothing planned today" Vulir answers his gaze falling on Jasiel.
"Great!" Hella exclaims in excitement. She quickly goes to tell one of the maids. To go and ask the chefs to cook a feast!
"Vulir why did you partner with my son? I hear that you are the best knight in training and could choose anyone you want" Azriel asks curiously.
"Hmm, Jasiel magic feels right? All other people's magic feels invasive and it uncomfortable. While Jasiel doesn't make me feel like that" Vulir explains. Azriel's eyes brighten up in excitement.
"That means you were truly meant to be partners! That's called resonating partners even when they are not bonded the magic can still boost their abilities by a significant amount! Your soul and my son's soul are comfortable with each other!" Azriel explains to Jasiel and Vulir.
"Oh? So that means I and Jasiel are meant to be partners?" Vulir asks curiously.
"Yes! Not many find their partners so they bond with whoever" Azriel answers. He looks at his son with a happy smile. As that means his son will be a lot safer. They will be strong enough to face even the strongest of enemies in the future and have a chance to survive.
"YOSH that means there is a higher chance for my son to marry! 90% of those who find their true bonded partner marry each other!" Hella yells in triumph. Jasiel looks at the ground he'll disappoint his parents. He will never marry anyone. Vulir glances at Jasiel but fear filled his heart again.
"Hey mom I'm going for a bit of a walk before dinner," Jasiel says as he stood up. Vulir quickly follows giving the parents a polite bow.
"What is wrong?" Vulir asks softly. Jasiel turns to him and sighs.
"I don't think I'll ever marry Vulir I have zero percent interest" Jasiel answers. Vulir frowns Jasiel cold voice and a strong gaze made him believe Jasiel.
"Why?" Vulir asks lowly. Why doesn't Jasiel accept love? He wants to know why.
"How long will they be here by my side? Before they are long gone and I will never see them again" Jasiel answers as he looks up to the sky. He remembers June the general he befriended who followed him to the next world as Alaric a silly actor. He isn't here anymore and he is all alone. Well with the system but they don't talk much. Vulir looks at Jasiel and sees his wistful look and couldn't help but feel jealous. Who is he thinking about?
[If User wishes the system will talk more. Analysis undergoing...Checking..... Database... Analysis completed. User request accepted the soul is the same soul. User is incorrect he isn't alone as Vulir is June]
"Wait what?! You said it's pretty much impossible for me to meet the same soul!" Jasiel panics screaming internally. Vulir sees Jasiel panic a bit and gets confused as to why.
[User is correct but the soul has attached to yours. And is very stubbornly holding and the system has never seen this before. The higher-ups are also confused about the glitch. However, since it's not hurting anyone or the mission they let it be instead of separating it.]
"I'll stay with you Jasiel I will never leave your side no matter where you go!" Vulir promises Jasiel looks at him and raises an eyebrow.
"We have literally met today," Jasiel said in a deadpan voice.
"Love at first sight" Vulir answers quickly. Jasiel looks at him a bit amused.
"Love at first sight? I don't believe it!" Jasiel says but he knows it's true. When June became Alaric he immediately went to his side. Vulir also came to his side the first time they met.
