HEARTLESS

It was late in the night when, Xueyan went back to the home office to pick up her phone.

Unknowingly to her, that there was someone else in the home office, that had just gone into hiding behind the shelves after hearing the doorknob turn.

She wanted to text her parents, ask if they had eaten or what they were doing?

But then she thought of Yuxi, she hadn't heard from the girl, since yesterday.

Xueyan went to sleep, but refused to fall asleep.

It was two in the morning, when she managed to fall asleep, and after an hour or so, she woke up to the sound of her ringing phone.

"Hello," she drowsily spoke into the phone.

"Bai Xueyan."

Hearing her full name, Xueyan yawned, took the phone out of her ear to see whom it might be, as the voice was unfamiliar. The number was also unfamiliar.

"Who is this?"

"Do you want to know where your dearest little sister is?"
