Maahi's Shocking Revelations

In classical mechanics (natural world), events (in general) are continuous, which is to say they move in smooth, orderly and predictable patterns. Projectile motion is an excellent example of classical mechanics. Or the colours of the rainbow, where frequencies progress continuously from red through violet. Events, in other words, proceed incrementally up a ramp.

In quantum mechanics, events (in particular) are unpredictable, which is to say "jumps" occur that involve seemingly random transitions between states: hence the term "quantum leaps". Moreover, a quantum leap is an all or nothing proposition, sort of like jumping from the roof of one building onto another. You either make it or you break it! Events in the quantum world, in other words, jump from one stair to the next and are seemingly discontinuous.

A conventional difference between classical and quantum mechanics is the quantum notion of the "complementary nature of light", which states that light is BOTH a particle (which has mass) and a wave (which has no mass). This seemingly contradictory concept shows how weird quantum physics can be when compared to classical physics.

Aditya looked at the 'fire breathing dragon' with excitement. Maahi seemed to had a breakthrough in her comprehension of this world.

"Did you know about this?" Aditya asked Tya as he gulped unconsciously. The visual shock that he got could not be put in words. Hamsa was looking at this spectacle with amazement, but Aditya could not stay calm, as he perceived a subtler truth that he had missed until today. Tya was cowering behind Aditya and tightly grabbed him as he was afraid of the 'dragon'.

"I feel like I knew but did not know it at the same time," Tya said as he peered at the enormous mythological creature. He couldn't keep steady and jumped towards Hamsa. Tya dug into Hamsa's arms and stayed there as he trembled. It appeared that Tya had received quite a shock.

Hamsa came out of her daze as she rubbed Tya's exposed back and said a few soothing words in a soft voice. After a few minutes of soothing talk, Tya calmed a bit as he gazed at the 'dragon' from between the gaps of small, chubby fingers.

The dragon lowered her head as it looked at Aditya with cold, slit pupils. Aditya knew that he was in trouble when he saw that gaze. Maahi wouldn't usually get angry at him, but when she did, Aditya could not handle it.

The dragon roared in a majestic feminine voice, "When you have so much to explore and learn about this mysterious realm, what are you guys doing? Singing rhyme songs together like a pair of kids."

Aditya lowered his head as he glanced at Tya with hateful eyes. This fellow pretended not to see and snuggled against Hamsa as he started acting 'afraid'.

" The world is changing at a rapid pace and in an unknown direction. Normal people are nothing more than a bunch of twigs getting washed along in flood, unable to control their destinies. But we, especially you, were given this opportunity to dictate our fates and those around us. Adi, I expected more from you."

"I tried Maahi. I and Tya both tried utilising this realm, but couldn't do much in the end. How did you simulate the fire in this place?" Aditya asked in a weak voice. He knew that Maahi was not to be interrupted when she was like this. But Aditya could not help but say a few words as he had indeed tried utilising this realm. Aditya said these words to calm himself more than replying to Maahi.

Aditya felt a stifling feeling when he saw Maahi's demonstration as it indicated that he was not doing enough to save his parents. This very thought made him uncomfortable. Aditya had, indeed, tried to utilise this realm and Tya's knowledge to the utmost.

But after months of trials, he had to settle down with the status quo, and hope that the evolution that his soul was undergoing would help him. Aditya's thoughts were filled with the 'Genetic Regulation' ability and its applications. He also theorised what would be other abilities which could be achieved in the future.

Aditya was also busy preparing to manufacture the supercomputer and quantum computer. He had to plan the course of action for him, Ishaan and Rudra. Aditya had to plan the upcoming Island fight.

If the condition were right, Aditya was planning on testing the new prototype weapons, sent by his 'group members', on the Raipath group who would be visiting today's party. These thoughts seemed to have unconsciously eclipsed his way of thinking, which led to this grave mistake.

The dragon transformed into Maahi as she landed elegantly in front of Aditya. She came forward and kissed Aditya on his lips in front of Hamsa and said in a soft voice, " Have you tried creating something 'real' in this realm. Something which obeys the same set of laws that characterises 'our' world?"

"Yes, of course, Tya does not understand the properties of Classical Mechanics (normal world) as he had always lived in the quantum realm. The laws which operate in this place are different than ours. So even though Tya could make a car lookalike, the copy won't function or move like a real car. I tried it," Aditya said as he earnestly looked at Maahi.

Aditya was so immersed in the discussion that he failed to notice Hamsa when Maahi kissed him. Unexpectedly, Hamsa did not show any surprise, except for the brief look of envy and sadness in her eyes.

"Not Tya, have 'you' tried it?" Maahi asked again as she looked at Aditya with a bright gaze.

"I..." Aditya stopped as his pupils trembled.

"Don't you get it? We can transform into something based on our imagination in this realm. We can also manipulate the functioning of this place, even if it is superficial, by bringing thoughts from the real world into this world. This power we hold is, no doubt, related to Tya's bond with you."

"Because of Tya's ability, we could influence this place. Have you thought that Tya might be able to understand our world through us? If we can apply our imagination in this realm, have you thought of applying our experience and comprehension, as well?"

"Quantum Physics studies had long pointed out that 'reality' is what you make it. An odd space experiment has confirmed that, as quantum mechanics says, the 'reality' is what you choose it to be. Physicists have long known that a quantum of light, or photon, will behave like a particle or a wave depending on how they measure it. We should change the way we look at this realm. Adi, you may feel that Tya is the creature of this realm and hence, he is, somehow, the owner of this place whom we have to depend on."

" Don't you think that we have also become a part of this realm, now? The way we are, these crystalline forms of us, we are also very much creatures of this realm. We might be new here and might not know what to make of this experience yet, but I am sure that it is just a matter of time before we get the hang of this world."

"Also, have you forgotten Tya's thesis about the true nature of us, humans? The essential core of our life seems to lie in a particle called the 'Soul Particle'. This 'Soul Particle', clearly, is a product of this quantum realm. So, in a way, we, as humans, are also from this realm."

" In the course of normal evolution, humans might have discovered their true nature in the coming millennia or so. Because of Tya acting as the catalyst, we have experienced the transformation before others. But, this 'sudden' transformation is also acting as a 'limiter' on us, as we are entirely ignorant about what to make of this experience. We are only using this place to save time or have these conversations despite being away from each other. But don't you feel that this place has a lot to offer us."

"Colossal amount of new knowledge and experiences are waiting to be discovered in this world. The key to overcoming our weaknesses, in front of the Organisation, most probably lies in this Quantum Realm, as well. "

Aditya's eyes brightened when he heard these words. Maahi turned towards Tya. Tya shrank back when he saw that Maahi was looking at him. He was afraid of this sister-in-law who could turn into a frightening creature.

Maahi ignored Tya's reaction and asked, "Tya, can you imitate the fireball which I previously displayed?". Aditya came out of his daze when he heard these words. He also turned to look at Tya with high expectations.

Tya hesitated before opening his small palm, and a small fireball could be seen hanging in mid-air. Aditya clenched his fist with excitement when he saw this fire. Everyone could feel a little warm in its proximity.

Tya also got excited when he saw the fire in his palm as he started changing its colours and shapes for fun. It was the first time that Tya got the hang of the nature of something from the real world. Even if it was just as simple a concept as 'heat', Aditya knew that the potential of this discovery was no small matter. They were on the cusp of a whole new range of applications.

It was an interesting coincidence that fire was the one discovery which singlehandedly kickstarted the evolution of human civilisation.

"How did you achieve this?" Aditya turned towards Maahi to ask. It was the second time that he had asked the same question, but still, he failed to get an answer.

Maahi ignored Aditya's words as she asked, "Tya, can you apply the concept of this heat to other things in this realm? Can you know the nature of our world by studying this property? How much could you deduce based on this discovery? There is a science called 'Quantum Thermodynamics' which studies the relationship between Thermodynamics* and the Quantum Realm. Would you be able to improvise on this study?"

(* Thermodynamics is the branch of physics that deals with heat and temperature, and their relation to energy, work, radiation, and properties of matter.)

Aditya slightly frowned when he saw that Maahi did not answer his question. But still, he also turned towards Tya to hear his answer.

"I am not sure, I need some time to study this property and the relation it holds with the laws of this world," Tya said in a timid voice as he apprehensively looked at Maahi.

"Okay, you work on that. I am leaving," Maahi said as she turned towards Aditya and asked, "Adi, how could you joke with your safety by coming to this place when you are in a public space? The threat of assassination exists for you, as long as you are the unestablished heir of Ahuja Family. Don't presume your maternal grandfather can nullify all threats. Your friends should be waiting for you, return now."

Aditya shrugged and replied, " It's fine, the security of that place is quite tight. Also, Tya took over my body now. For outsiders, it will appear as if I am fiddling with my phone. Based on the time difference, it has not even been a minute in that place. So, I should be fine. Aren't you coming to the party? I thought that the Chief Minister would invite you."

"She did. But I have neither the mood nor the time to come. Unlike someone, I have to read books to increase my knowledge. Now that I can learn a lot (Exceptional Memory), I will be doing myself a disservice if I let go of this opportunity. Elder sister Qaima, however, will be coming in my steed. Be nice to her." Maahi said as she hugged Aditya and said to Hamsa before leaving, "Bye, goodnight."

Aditya's face changed when he finally remembered that Hamsa was here as well. She had seen the intimate way Maahi interacted with him. Aditya took a deep breath and turned to face Hamsa. He knew that this day would come in the future, but he did not think it would be this early. Maybe, it was better this way.
