Surfacing Secrets Part 1

"Neither do I." Bond said as he kept on staring at the word.

"Like yeah, we surely know it's a death trap and that is the reason we all are dying one by one." Spence hopped to his bed cautiously, avoiding any physical or eye contact with Bond. He laid down his bed and turned around, falling asleep in an instant.

"I guess he was two tired." Bond muttered as he felt a yawn arise along his throat. "I should sleep too." He glanced at the clock. It struck 3 am in the morning. However, he didn't care and fell back on his pillow, only to wake up the next morning.

The morning was unusually calm that day. "Wake up you idiots!" Pin yelled and threw a pillow each at Bond and Spence. Bond woke up. Spence didn't. Pin walked over to his bed, closing in on his ear. "WAKE UP YOU SLEEPY HEAD! " He screamed in Spence's pitiful ears. Even so, he didn't wake up. Pin noticed his ears being flushed pink and touched them. They were burning.

"Bond, check his forehead." Bond jumped upright and rushed to Spence, placing his palms on the forehead. It was unusually hotter. Pin picked up his bag and fished out for a thermometer, placing it in his mouth. "Should we inform them?" Pin asked Bond.

However, Bond was too busy with himself.

"I'll make you feel better Spence." Bond whispered as he caressed his burning hands. He rushed to the bathroom and brought a glass of cold water. "I'll get a cloth." Pin hunted for a piece of cloth in his bag but couldn't find any.

"I'll get it." Bond ran to the laundry basket and picked up a random t-shirt.

With enough strength, he managed to tear a piece enough to cover Spence's head. He dipped the cloth into the water and placed it on Spence's head. A low whimper escaped his lips, which were chapped dry. He dipped his fingers into the cold water and rubbed them along Spence's lips, making him alive again. A drop of cold water went down his neck, which caused his body to shiver.

"I'll inform the SEC." Pin seemed worried.

"What will they even do? As far as things have been going, it's safe to assume they are not with us."

"They will at least get us a doctor Bond."

"Worst of the worst, they will leave him to die on the streets."

"I seriously doubt that." Pin said as he picked up his comforter and covered Spence, who was now shivering.

"Who do you think killed Alejandro and Sebastien?"

"It can be anyone." Pin muttered but his mind seemed to be wandering somewhere else. It was clear he was doubting his own words.

"I'll show you something." Bond grabbed his wrist and pulled him. "Wait dude." Pin yelled as he got down the bed and walked along with Bond wherever he led him.

After a walk of about ten seconds, they stopped nearby Yu Han's room, where he saw Feng Mian crying and banging the sealed door. "Where are you, big brother?" He said as he felt Yu Han's engraved name on the nameplate. His eyes had become sore and had reduced to slits due to excessive crying. It was clear that he had been sitting there crying for the whole night.

"Do you think he can kill Tetsuo?" Bond turned towards Pin and asked him.

"Or maybe this one?" He said as he pulled Pin towards Anh's room.

Binh was inside the room, on the floor hugging Anh's blood stained bed sheet. The blood seemed to be dried and he had kept the brown stain close to his face, as each tear drop drenched the bedsheet and the blood covered his right cheek. His best friend was still lying dead and pale on the bed. However, he was helpless to such an extent that he couldn't even hug him or perhaps ask whether it hurt him. He looked at Pin and Bond and froze solid.

"This boy is completely traumatized about the fact that no one cares about a dead body here." Bond looked at Pin and quoted.

"It could be the others." Pin was adamant on his views.

"Well, let's see more of this." Hr dragged Pin to window and showed him the commotion downstairs.

Some of them were sitting on the concrete floor and crying out loud. Others were continously throwing up as the murder scene was not cleaned after taking the bodies. Clean, fresh air had become a prized possession for them. It had become a luxury. Many of them didn't even seem healthy. It was evident that they hadn't eaten food in ages.

"Do you still think they could be the murderers?" Bond intently stared at Pin with pity.

"Okay fine, I agree with you." Pin muttered hesitantly.

"These people themselves are placed on the knife block. How do you think that they can take away someone else's life?"

"Yeah, you are right. I am sorry for doubting my own fellow mates."

At that time, there was an announcement on the P.A system:

"All students should gather in the SEC right now."
